2:57 Craziness aside I love this game so much. Stuff like this where the NPCs exit the building and are outside fighting, having nothing to do with you. You really feel like you are just another random person and the game doesn't revolve around the player whatsoever, NPCs doing their own thing, existing, rather than everything being processed around the player for the player only
Yea, in a lot of ways this game actually has very complex and advanced AI. It is one of the few games with true radiant AI, even though obviously it doesnt always work perfect :P
That's why I will always say Oblivion's story and faction questlines are far superior than Skyrim. The Hero of Kvatch is a nobody with no special powers or abilities, much like the courier in New Vegas. You had the choice to walk your own path.
In Skyrim, you're forced into this ridiculous godlike persona, and yet have little choice in what you actually do with your powers. The whole story revolved around being a puppet for delphine, despite being the most powerful being in the game.

Good thing about Skyrim is that it has an amazing modding community, so just download mods that transform Skyrim to be similar to oblivion and Morrowind.
Gothic has that too. In Gothic 2 I was running towards the castle wall and some Orcs aggroed me. I killed them. And this guard up on the wall was aggroed on the Orcs. He was running around until he fell down and died.
Well technically, she only said they don't murder *visitors*. She never said anything about not murdering *each other*.

The way essential npcs seem to instantly float up from the ground when you talk to them while they’re unconscious has a strange horror aspect to it.

I managed to get a guard do the pinwheel glitch in the first clip. I don't think his head stayed upright though, and the camera didn't follow his face.
