    Thanks, Jake. I think I would like the last method (outside my right knee) best partly because it looks like I could do it seated as easily as you did while kneeling. I've always been more comfortable moving the knife rather than the wood and my knees aren't as fond of bending as they used to be! I'm very much a newbie at feather sticks though. Cheers!

      That's definitely a good method to use when seated, and I tend to move the knife more often myself. There are times when moving the wood is better, but I usually like to move the knife. All it takes is a little whittling time and you won't be new to it anymore!

    Buddy idk where you learned all of this informationfrom but you teach just like a Pathfinder Instructor. Super easy to understand and the quality is top notch. 🍻

      I've picked up things in various places over the years, often from trial and error, but there's always room for more knowledge, and I learn new things all the time!
