I'm watching this in 2020. I don't know what more could've Komphela done as a coach I mean they were simply outsmarted and Onyango proved his worth. The coach had no fault none whatsoever
you don't know what he could've done as a coach ? and you go on to say 'they' were outsmarted. Don't you see a contradiction in your comment ? It was his job not to be outsmarted but to outsmart the opponent and he failed dismally.

However I think you expected too much give the quality of the players the opposition had compared to his. Being a coach coach alone doesn't guarantee success, so are you telling me that all the coaches they've had till date are incompetent or there isn't enough to work with if you listen to a statement made by Midderndorp after his departure?

My point is his tactics on the day didn't work out he was outsmarted by his counterpart. Pitso's game plan was better than his on the day, accept it and stop being defensive of Komphela. He like any other coach post Baxter's tenure never brought the best out of the players and I blame him even more because he allowed himself to be bossed around by the team management, he was okay with the low quality players he had, he never complained about them and that's what to this day I dislike about him. He was part and parcel of Bobby's mission to bring useless players at naturena, look at where the team is now, It all started with that useless coach of yours and his manager. He was supposed to have stood his ground and demanded chiefs worthy players but he didn't so who were we supposed to blame when things were not going well under his watch ?
