Oh hey, I built that! Haha in all seriousness I completely forgot that I sent in Colossus as I made it over a year ago now which is mad to me. I’m currently recreating the whole of Thorpe Park, might have to send it in when it’s finished 👀 Thanks for the spotlight Jonny!
Fun fact: colossus is a clone of a coaster built in Brazil in 1998, called Monte Makaya. It had only 8 inversions and held the record until the opening of colossus in 2002, which featured an extra heartline roll at the end + one more before the station.
A recreation contest is a great idea because it would showcase all the hard work and dedication that goes into a coasters creation. These designers deserve a spotlight!
Would love to see a recreation contest! So many unique coasters out there from themed works of art to classics in unique terrain settings, coasters that go underneath parking lots or over a stretch of public road, fairground coasters with their amazing light packages. It would be really cool. Not to mention that it's a differen't albeit very hard challenge to really nail the intricacies of a given ride. It takes creativity in a different way, to utilize the game's limits to imitate life.
Hey Johnny, Thats a pretty spot on Colossus recreation. A recreation contest sounds awesome, how about giving folks the choice of doing their favorite Wooden or Steel coaster so that its a variety of different styles. As always love your videos Keep up the great work 👍
MyCuriousMind does indeed have a whole playlist for his Thorpe Park recreation park. I've just started watching it myself. His channel definitely deserves more subscribers.
I think a realism contest would be much more exciting. Creators could choose to recreate a current coaster or make their most realistic new coaster from scratch. I personally don't care for recreations so much as I can just watch the actual ride POV. Of course it's impressive when someone recreates a ride with such accuracy, I just think you would get more participation and views if it was open to creations from scratch as well. Just my two cents!
Resident Brit, Colossus is one of my fave rollercoasters of all time, this is an absolute joy!!! Also heck yeah to a recreation park content... (Thinking how I can fit the defunct black hole into x-sector without making oblivion 😭🤣)
It's a shame the actual coaster is not as smooth as this one. Colossus is showing its age, needs investment. But this is an incredible recreation, down to the terrain, everything is perfect. Nice job!
looks great! I would love someone to recreate Vampire at Chessington World of Adventures, that is my favourite ride and would look awesome for the contest
Recreations take a ton of time to do and many aren't done well I would rather just see another minipark contest or do your own take on your favourite area of a park I feel would be more achievable.
Instead of recreation why not reimagine contest? Choose a coaster from around the world, use the theme colour scheme, type of coast and make it your own! At lest this allows creativity and avoids the possibility of 10 versions of the same coaster! FR ooty - formally strawberry 🍓
Rides just as shakey as the original. My neck hurt a lot when I came off this coaster. And the Dispatches of 1 train per 7 minutes did not help much either.
Recreation contest would be great! What if you had where they have to include a picture of the original park inside the recreation so you can compare?

You definitely deserve more subs, incredible work!
My closest theme park been on this coaster countless time and this is spot on well done 👍🏼

Yes on the recreation of roller coasters around the world as a contest
Oooh can ride Colossus without getting a headache!

Yoo! This coaster is at my home park.
Recreation contest where you pick a park and assign a coaster or area of the parks to each contestant!!
A great build and very accurate to the real thing, congrats on a great build @mycuriousmind 👏

Love the idea of this contest, so yes!
Love the recreation coaster contest
That is so damn accurate omg.
Yup this is awesome. Wish we could get one these actually built in the USA.
looks great! I would love someone to recreate Vampire at Chessington World of Adventures, that is my favourite ride and would look awesome for the contest
Let’s hope if the second game happens they will have the proper trains that the real coaster has

FUCK YEAH
Would LOVE to see a recreation contest! PLEASE DO IT!
This recreation is insane. I know Colossus very well and I’m excited for the full park release!
Someone needs to make windseeker from Kings Island

Looks like a version of drachenfire

Shame its shut till end of April due to bit of retrack work on it
Excellent recreation, but a boring coaster, IMO. It feels like half of the whole thing is just the heartline rolls.
@operateur would win this with ease!
