  • Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been one of the NBAs best regular season scorers over the past 2 years. But with the Oklahoma City Thunder coming into the playoffs as the number 1 seed. Many people questioned if Shai Gilgeous-Alexanders scoring would carry over into the playoffs.

    Learned he's unguardable. If he can add the 3 ball to his game just a little bit more (slightly higher efficiency, maybe 1-2 more attempts per game) then he can lead OKC to greater things.

    @tarico4436 4 месяца назад +63

    OKC learned they need a 6'10" or taller 4 to clog the paint, get rebounds, and mostly defend. Plus (unpopular opin) they should keep Giddey because his market value right now is way lower than what he's worth.

      100% agree, if that 4 is able to shoot aswell it would be paradise, that archeotype is really expensive in the nba but okc has the assets to get it. And giddey had a regressed year mostly because lack of confidence, he second guessed every play and that hindered both his shooting and his best atribute playmaking (he was always half a second late for passes you could see he thought before but second guessed himself).

      I’d also add to get another guard someone who can run the offense maybe have SGA do more off ball stuff like how Ant has Conley who can run the offense but at the same time can create shots for himself as well. Giddey could do that but he’s not really a shooter or aggressive

      Yeah we need to draft a big who can shoot and defend then trade giddey and jaylin for a pf/sf

      if they don’t trade him now, then he hits free agency in 2025 or okc has to extend him, both are bad options

    Honestly, as well as he played, he can be much better still. As well as he shot (55% from 3), Dallas was more focused on stopping him from getting to the lane to the pont where he could've pulled for 3 probably 3 or 4 times more per game and sunk a good number of them. A few games, he probably should've been more "me first" and sropped 40. It for sure could've 5 the series.
    He's a legit mvp level player. At times, he needs to trust his scoring game more. It's not selfish to shoot the air out of the ball when your team needs it qnd You're the only one that can pull them through for the win.

      I get what you mean but Shai said in the interview that he didn't want to change what they were doing coz that's made them as a solid team. I think Shai meant is that (I can't win alone even if I will score more) which is true coz a legit championship team is all the players should produce

  • @11beats

    He struggles getting through the trees here and there when teams are clogging the paint but 9/10 he kicks the ball out or gets to the line which is really good

    Damn, i wish Wemby had a pg like Shai. He got Castle, but honestly he is just a worse version of Shai thats better defensively. Shai still is decent on defensive and can get steals. So, its crazy that Chet got blessed with a pg mentored by CP3. Shai is the best all around PG in the league and its not even close. He solid in every category: defending, scoring(on all 3 levels), passing, rebounding, efficiency, and he is good at the clutch. Plus he is 6'6 like wtf.

    Idk what I’m seein man… I’m used to Jordan blowing by players like they are cones and rising 40 inches in the air
    Shai didn’t blow by nobody in this clip and scored on a bunch of weird step backs… I guess they are tone of ways to get the job done but damn the skill level difference is crazy

    • @808bboarder
      @808bboarder 4 месяца назад +2

      Shai weaponizes pace and has a sneaky first step with an ability to accelerate off of his back foot and then completely stop and rise up for his jumper. Bumps for separation and it’s unstoppable. He is a mid range maestro and elite finisher. His handles are tight and can dribble in traffic to get to his spots. Shai is one of them ones. 🐕⚡️
