It was the first season i was able to properly start playing the game again, i did play in season 5 but not all that much, sadly however that the point i was able to play the game again it was late into season 8 so i didn't actually get much done in that season, at least compared to season 9.
Keep in mind i was in primary school at the time!
Not a word to describe it. It was also the season I first joined and the tear 1 hybrid skin is the skin I always use. It in general is what made me love playing fortnite. Without the moments I experienced within that season, I don't think I'd be playing today. Fortnite og's version was a joke though(I mean chapter og not 1)

Season 8 will ALWAYS be my favorite season ever.
1. Best version of Ch1 map with desert and jungle biome, but still had Tilted.
2. Ballers, pirate cannons, glider redeploy and geysers!
3. Bomb battle pass that was FREE.
4. Short season, as all Ch1 seasons were.
5. Buried treasure.
6. Air Royale.
7. Avengers.
Air royale is one of my favoriet game mode

i cannot put in the words how happy i was when i found out that in season og we are gonna go through season 8 map for a week and how heartbroken i was when NOT A SINGLE poi from season 8 was brought back and they put few pirate towers around the map that was just slap in the face

season 7,8, and 9 were just so good, tbh anybody who hates on ch1 either didn't play ch1 or they didn't have anybody to play it with.

@@uberbramgames841 season 5 and 6 were also pretty good. A lot of people hate season 6 cus of the zombies but if we forget about that the season was pretty good and the shadow orbs were a pretty cool concept
The extreme hate for chapter 1 is just a response to the equally extreme nostalgia for the chapter. There’s definitely a middle ground to be found here; chapter 1 was excellent for its time, but times have changed, and Fortnite has adapted to changing consumer expectations.
Season 9 had the BEST secret skin in fortnite. Absolutely incredible
9 was worst it was the season that gave Epic idea that they can remove pump, and till this day we pay the price with piss shotguns
So sad era was canceled. Best way to relive those old moments

Season 8 of Chapter 1 is something I will forever cherish, specially since it was the season I officially started to play, and it being the skin I use as my main [that being Hybrid], not to mention I miss the volcano, the key force location, and blackhearts location, everything this season had to offer when I played it when I was between 13-14 is something I will forever cherish
season 1 chapter 8 was the first time i got a battle pass! (i got it free from the overtime challenges) and instantly fell in love with the pirate theme! and also, peely became my main

Season 8 was the absolute peak in my Opinion the Music the Vibes the maps

My favorite season was season 8, the atmosphere with the volcano and the giant pirate ship and the story just kept me playing
Adding the lava music from super mario bros wii is LITERALLY what I did when I played Floor is Lava. Nice touch!

You should really give season 9 another opportunity if you’re ever able. It’s one of the most underrated seasons in the game, with a fantastic battle pass, great new locations, and still one of the greatest live events
i loved season 9😭 also probably only one but i loved collecting fortbytes i just found it really fun and how you would start buliding picture with storyline teases was awesome

i started in season 8. remember waking up early on weekends so I could play as much as I could before my parents came home

Watching this vid genuinely made me smile it made me remember and relive those times and when I had to grind the quest in season 7 to get the free battle pass for me and my brother because he said the quests were too hard and this was probably my favorite season out of all them just the fun I had playing with all my friends in 5th grade getting on at 6 am to get some games in before school was just so nostalgic. Its sad to see that eras was canceled and slowly watch Fortnite lose its charm over the years. Hope the new doom season is good!
s8 is my favourite season ever. it was my first battle pass (it was free and i only started in s7) it is so underrated. for some reason i remember coming home from school on a THURSDAY waiting for the update and then seeing a volcano. i was so excited. (i guess i remember the exact day of the week because it is my favourite season.)

season 8 is one of the top 3 seasons imo, especially in the beginning when they had siphon in pubs and probably the best loot pool in all of fortnite
Luxe probably shouldnt have been the tier 100 but shes one of the only skins from chapter 1 that i still actively use nearly every time i play. Aged very well imo
Season 8 of chapter 1 was the first season in the game that i skipped since that was an era where sweats were a lot more common especially since zero build and ranked weren't a thing yet it made playing the game casually a nightmare during this season but the core of it was still very good

Dude I remember actually getting them pirate cannon challenge done after like 50 matches at lazy lagoon, It drove me to the brink of insanity
Season 8 was the first season I played the way through (I started just after the ice king event in season 7), and wow. It was a blast. Lazy lagoon is probably one of my favourite drop spots ever, only really beaten out by the shark, rickety rig and happy hamlet. The volcano was such a unique landmark and we probably won’t ever get anything like it again. Also, season 8 added the boom bow which is without a doubt my favourite weapon of all time. I remember when it came out me and some friends hopped in creative only using the boom bow to fight eachother and I absolutely destroyed them. The addition of the legendary and epic infantry rifle was also great, founded my love for them. Shadow bombs were awesome, loved those. Pirate cannons were so good for early rotation, one of the best things ever added. Season 8 was just amazing. Plus I got the battle pass for free because of the valentines event at the end of season 7 so that was great.

i started fortnite in c1 s2, and i loved this season! i did get to do the event, and TO THIS DAY, i still say it’s the best event i’ve ever witnessed.

Well as someone who started playing in this season, I may be blinded by nostalgia
C1S7 was my favorite map, but I didn’t actually play BR just drove around the map during that entire time, stopped playing BR after C1S5 and came back during C2S2
1- season 7 (for the christmas cozy vibes)
2- season 8 ( for the pirate vibes) i love pirate video games
3- season 2- (for the simplicity and amazing vibe)
another thing to note about the season 8 pass was that it was free if you completed some quests in late s7.
season 8 was my fav season, tbf i started playing fn at the end of seaosn 7 and played season 8 a lot but i LOVED it so much

This is the season that ended my original Fortnite run from C1S2-C1S8(The Start), I bought the battlepass for the season and stopped playing only a couple days later
this was my favorite season of chapter 1, most underrated season with the best version of the chapter 1 map, and the content was goated. Let's hope it gets remade in UEFN
For me the modern seasons of chapter 1 were the best (s5 - season x) where most updates just improved the game so much

Season 8 was the best mix of classic map and weird new biome. Current fort ite with weird biomes should be jealous.

I remember that challenge with "Deal damage to opponents with a Pirate Cannon" Legit the best and most fun day i have had with my friends, just running around Lazy lagoon and trying to hit someone, but all players alos ran around with the cannon. We did it in Team Rumble, and everybody was kind enough to let us all do the challenge xD Season 8 is my most favorite season of them all. 100%
Season 8 will always hold a special place in my heart; it was the first season I had played from start to finish and I got the valentines free battle pass so overall it was one of the best for me🏴☠️

black heart was originally supposed to be the tier 100 with luxe being tier 1 but many people complained about not having a female tier 100 causing epic to switch at the last minute
Underrated opinion season 8,9,X are as nostalgic as the OG seasons, I just loved it also was the time I started to get really good at the game hitting champion on arena also it was the summer going into my 7th grade year which I loved.
Season 8 was when i made my second fortnite account that i still use to this day. Best season ever.
Still my favorite season without a single doubt in my mind. Easily the most fun I've had in a game since like 2011 in Kirby's Return to Dreamland, which, I mind you, is my literal favorite game of all time, even as I'm only a month from becoming 20 years old. This season will always have a soft spot as one of the most enjoyable periods of gaming in my life, even if I never won a single game.
When you mentioned the quest from s4 open 7 chest in risky i just remembered all the pain but it when neccessary to gain that special skin you get when completing all quest
The fact that this was 5 years ago makes me want to just end it all cause why not at this point

I remember playing lots of Playground & Team Rumble back in the day, it was a BLAST!
I also recalled playing Endgame & Air Royale, the latter's existence actually causing me to get my ONLY wins in Chapter 1. I really loved Air Royale and would WANT to see it return.
Also making a Wilds private server will probably be so complex, I doubt it's possible.
Always loved season 8 and always looked back fond upon it, only issue i and many others of the community have was them removing syphon mid season, that update day was a dark day
My favorite season by far. It was so good bruh fortnite has never felt the same since this season
ive always loved season 8, i loved the tropical rainforest biome with the several pirate themed outposts around the map coupled with the aztec shrines litered across the tropical biome, the hotsprings, the way tomato temple like blended into the side of the volcanoe along with the obvious pirate town which was amazing, but most importantly i loved the volcanoe especially the outside of it with the stream the went into the underpass, it was just sooo sick and i wished that chapter 4 season 3 would revive this but sadly it didnt (i personally think because of the absence of much tropical-ness and the transformers colab) however i did think the lootpool was blighted with gold weapons with especially the treasure maps. but i did genuienly love this season and always will (also the excavation sties set up to find the vault was sooo cool too)
As someone whose favorite skin is Hybrid, Season 8 will remain in my heart forever.
personally wailing and risky were my favourite POIs so i kinda quit like 3 weeks into the season and season 9 had too much same with season x and the mechs but season 7 and 4 are my all time favourites
I joined during season 7. Season 8 was really fun and is one of my favorite seasons overall. I quit in chapter 2 season 1 and joined again in og fortnite.
I was so annoyed because i had moved on from fortnite at this point, so i was really excited for fortnite og so i could explore all the pirate-y stuff. But it was never added for some reason

Saying season 8 was my favorite seasons has been something I have been saying ever since chapter 2’s launch. I would even go as far as to say it’s my favorite season of all time or tied with ch2s2. Season 8 really really had it all. The map i think was top tier maybe except for the removal of lazy links. The loot pool was so balanced, i don’t ever remember it having a meta. Only overpowered item was probably the boom bow, but I don’t think people minded since it was so cool for trickshotting. The battlepass wasn’t anything special but it was still hella cool. It was the first time they introduced both peely and traversal emotes like conga. BOTH WERE EVERYWHERE LOL. Ltms were so unique to this season too. But i think what really stuck with me in season 8 was the lead up the event with the kevin runes all over the map. And the event itself was just insane. I think this was also the same season they first introduced arena if i’m not mistaken. I remember being a bot and waiting for my friend to come online in the weekends (cuz of school) so we could bot together in arena with our matched black fully maxed out lynx skins with the crowbar pickaxe from season 5. We thought we were so cool lmao

The thing is, around the end of season 8 is kinda when fortnite lot it’s spark for a while for me. I’ve always thought it was because of this season but I think I just kinda got bored of the general game. I remember having a good time with friends every game! Old Fortnite was genuinely the best the game ever was. It's not nostalgia like everyone says. It was just BETTER. I'm not saying Modern Fortnite isn't good, but Chapter 1 and maybe Chapter 2 were the best the game ever was, moreso Chapter 1 though.

Season 8 was my first full season and I look back on it as a great season I loved the BP, the map was great overall great time for the game
