Thank you so much for making this video! I was just looking up on this camera. I'm from Vietnam. I just found this camera today in my mom's cabinet. It's absolutely beautiful! I'm really loving the picture quality (it is so sharp!) and the user experience. A camera using 2 AA batteries absolutely made me so happy! Sadly the XD card came with the camera doesn't work anymore. I'm waiting for an Adapter card to arrive. Surprisingly the camera can take picture without the card! I think I like this camera more than the Canon PnS that is popular right now. It is so fun to use!
@Intdnh thank you! Yes, it's a good little camera. What I found interesting was that it has a live histogram. Most DSLRs of the same period didn't even have that!
I still use this camera. I found out the hard way that this camera will not operate with rechargeable nicad batteries. With a pair of freshly charged bats., I would be able to get off one or maybe two shots after which I would get a "low bat. voltage" warning and the camera would not take anymore photos. The reason, I believe, is that nicad cells have a top voltage of 1.3V whereas alkaline bats. have a top voltage of 1.5V. So it seems the nicad bats. do not meet the minimum voltage to operate this camera. I will find a portable power source and cable to use this camera because I avoid using alkaline bats.
