- Rob Machado & Pete Mendia in Peru. Took the train to Macchu Picu. Wove baskets in the floating village of Titicaca. And even surfed the ancient Peruvian reed matt.

Why do I feel happier watching Rob Machado than any other pro surfer? He has genuine stoke. Contagious positivity.
Because he has such natural flow , really nice style to watch . Compared to mediana or telido who do crazy stuff but shite styles
The Energy

Perú, land of beautiful endless waves, sacred and wise mountains, indomitable jungles and beautiful, strong, resilient people. I was born there, live there and never quite understood the nationalism. Perú is a land, a place on earth that's lived between abundance and scarcity. I'm very grateful of being able to surf everyday, many diferente waves, going to the mountains and watch immensity. Thank god, pachamama and mamacocha for your live.
Nothing like Peru, I lived there for a year, surfed almost everyday. In the lineup theres folks from 8-80 , I was gifted a new custom board there ,Klimax by local shaper in Lima ,love it! Machu Picchu is spiritual, the country is beautiful, looking forward to return trip...
Literally looks like rob is surfing in slow motion, so smooth
I've been surfing 20 years never seen a nother one like Rob the best man surfer alive 🤙
@Riley Turner good afternoon from puerto Rico just came out of the water john john is great, but Rob surfing style is just above the rest, no effort he becomes one on the water...gracias 🤙

Thanks. All its so beautiful. Rob inspire me.
This is the one section of any movie that is etched in my mind. Very nostalgic seeing this roll around again. Timeless surfing.
peru tierra bendita!
Nice film work, some great free surfing, and soundtrack. makes you want to head to Peru.
Rob is always in sync with his surroundings, it brings peace to the viewer.
Mr Machado has always been one of my all-time favorite Surfers I go back to the early 90s. It's like watching a cat surf. So much Style and grace. Don't know the man but he seems like a really good person. Definitely one of my favorite Surfers of all time. Right there with Occy and Lopez. Tom Curran. All of those guys had a lot of flow and style.
3:36 just mental , pure freedommmm , Clay soul surfer 😍😍🎩
Beauty in so many ways❤️❤️❤️
This Machado dude is a great surfer!!
One of the most beautiful places I've visited
Time for me to head back to the homeland for a visit!

This was so good! Clay rips! Really good mix of scenery with waves. Soundtrack was great too.
thought that was him, even though he isn't listed in the details. met him in Maui - super talented and humble
Rob Machado = timeless style
That was lovely, Thank You!
Thanks so much for posting these. This disc was soooo good. 🙏🏼
That’s some nice surfing !!! Always welcome down here guys 🙌🏼🔥🇵🇪
2:16 Wow look how close to the reef head that cuttie to barrel was.
I really believe that this kind of movie, showing other cultures than west culture, will help to understand and not to judge cultures which believe that it is not about money but to live and respect the others in each particular way.
Rob and crew surfing Peru's left 🌊
sick footage! luv it
A essência do surf onde tudo começou Aloha💓💞💝💝💓❤💗💗💗

0:33 rare footage of rob machado riding a normal shortboard 😂
3:31 Marzo's a freak of nature
Beautiful film Taylor. Thank you for sharing. How cool would it be for you & Rob to go back there to see those locals in this film? Wonder if they would remember you?? And if so, how would they celebrate your return? 🐐 Great surf in Peru it amazes me that more pro’s don't make the trek down there. Would be nice to see new landscape & waves in all the surf mags. Thanks again for sharing all your amazing films.
Hey, my old stompin grounds, Northern Peru
FLOW😊
When you get on a thruster you can still do the business. .intrresting to watch the transformation from a twinny
My take assy though us quite consistent: you surf the wave!
Not smash it, rip it, tear it, dismember it
You flow and do what feels good and it ends up looking good too.
Nice to watch.
Thanks Rob.
Peace and love
You really are hitting the soul of surfing haha the reed board is awesome 😎
Nice......
Great vid man.. wow
How can you possibly dislike?
Sound tracks killer!
Que Deus o tenha surfista de alma.

@@buenapaz5566 I would if i understood what the Heck ur talking about?
whats the name of the music that starts at 4:58??
Hi Taylor, what 's the introduction music please ? Many thanks for sharing your works, very inspirationnal. Peace
I found it in movie's credits its Chacamarca (formerly Downtempo Peru) by Rob Machado & Dylaan Raasch
And Dylan Raasch is one half of Years around the sun.
am i trippin or is he riding a broom in the thumbnail?
A canoe 3:02
Fernando Maron ohhhh thanks lol
What’s the song at 2:30?
Deer Thick - Baltimore Blues no.1
Is this referencing Matt Warshaw? 🧘♀️🏄♀️
Wasn't Castles in the Sky the follow up from Sipping Jetstreams ?
🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩😍😍🔝
What's the beach, Cabo Blanco?
Barreled on a reed matt?
Blow tail at 3:37 is sick
Perú
🤙
Was that lake titicaca at the end?
yes
3:31 Clay Michael Marzo
Ha the description says Machado and Mendia. I saw more Marzo than Mendia. Why no mention? Nice vid though.
Is this Clay Marzo in the video @ 3:33 ?
Yeah. Also at 4:48
He surfs the stick boat at 3:02
Hippie legend🌿🤙
@BC Bob Jajajaja, almost!!!
Machado is no hippie ~ he's a surfer... much more of a surfer than most because he has a very relaxed style and personality. Hippies are very nieve and self righteous. I don't get that from Machado... He's very meek and gracious and calm... not as competitive or money greedy. I'd rather watch Machado surf than almost anyone else (in modern style) Nice movie ~
@@markusbroyles1884 I think the same, iknow who is Machado, but thanks for the speech!🤘
Is lobitos????
Bakan!
Huanchaco?
Not all lobitos. Some.
잉카
Can somebody help me cut through the BS and just post the timestamp where he surfs on the wigwam?
You look like a contemporary Robinson Crusoe on the homemade stick or should I write sticks.
@BC Bob Yeah dude the fimmaker and the surfer have done that a few times. The film from India had a muted light to it.I dont know if it was natural to that area or it was an artificial effect which made it more art, than most of the surf Vlogs on RUclips.
Pls someone tell me the wicked track in this 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Now let's see nazare at 45 feet
1:29
cringe when they talk and pose
Westerner looking spiritual posing for photos beside indigenous is never a good look.
Peru = cold ass water
This man simply has too much style. And I'm not talking about his fancy wetsuits
Jee zis. Lol
Nobody rides for free...
Nice clickbait... Pete Mendia had literally ONE wave, with one turn, during that whole section. Lame.
Sorry, calling a reed boat traversing whitewash to the shore “surfing” is as ridiculous as Thor Heyerdahl’s Kon Tiki. Polynesians used celestial navigation and Hawaiian surfing was deliberate and especially recreational
Brother I could only watch about 30 seconds of your video... Too much drama... Way too dramatic for just the simple things.
