I will always love this Bruce “better” than the action man. Sorry! The character he portrayed exuded such sweetness, humility and depth! Adored him and “Moonlighting!!” ❤️❤️❤️
David Addison and John McClane will always be Bruce's best and most endearing roles. They showed how great an actor he truly is unlike all the other stiff, stoic and one dimensional roles Hollywood has stuck him with the last 30 odd years.
Never got addicted to a show like MOONLIGHTING. The writers were funny & dramatic. Willis & Shepherd were David & Maddie. Its 2019, I own the series and every few years go back and watch the very best creative show. The black & white & Maddie gets scrooged episodes among the best. The dialog rapid fire then suddenly emotional crossfire is legendary. Just a magnificent show. MOONLIGHTING.
Bruce Willis was only 32 years old here. Wow. Everyone seemed older in the 80's. Of course I was 10 then, so I suppose it's just a matter of perspective. I looked up to all those people. Time flies like a bat outa hell.
Thanks for this video. Seeing the nominations I couldn't help but think how many great comedies there were in the 80's. I wish TV could be as good now as it was back then.
Would you look at that competition?! Insane! Award shows haven't had real competition like that in decades. Bruce and Cybill deserved their wins and the fact that they beat out some heavy hitters really says something.
my favorite show as an adult. really nailed down how guys & gals think, talk , behave, feel and Love...and very stupid , funny and terribly romantic! love Bruce & Cybil.
Unforgettable moonlighting.. A rare kind of tv show with drama and comedy with cibyl sheperd and bruce willis the perfect pair for the series ..... an incon of the 80s like the song by al jarreau ..... The perfect show always on my mind....
Damn right! Those first two / three seasons of *Moonlighting* he's clearly giving it his all - and absolutely KILLING it! although, cliche though it might be: He WAS really good in _The Sixth Sense_ / _The Fifth Element_ / _The 12 Monkeys_ . ..........Hmmm......Now that I mention it I realize...WTH is it with BW and movies with numbers in the title?? ( and I've not even seen _The Whole Nine Yards_ )
With memory skills like that Tony, I'd buy myself a pack of playing cards, learn some 'techniques' ......and head on down to Vegas in a couple of years! XD
I'd LOVE to see Bruce make a FUN movie / show again! ......Seems like he last ten plus years all the characters he's played are sour-puss tough guys.....It's a damn shame, he can be really funny!
Were it not for the horrendous pads on Cybill's blouses (cushioned shoulders) she'd look really hot. But the dang fashion of the 1980s was absolute garbage as opposed to the '70s or '90s and beyond
Wow what a group to be among in both catagories. Bruce Willis was only 32 and he was just getting started. Cybil so gracious here. To bag the video is so blurry but still glad it is shared here.
I remember when Bruce Willis won an Emmy for "Moonlighting," he help up the award and said, "Hey, Ma, look at this!" I thought that was funny and really sweet.
Our time was stolen... we all have been victims of a rift in in time some of us are the mandella crew many of us were teens just a while ago they have stolen fastforwarded what was once what was supposed to be...
Not the whole time. I give BOTH of them credit for believable acting I felt the romance throughout. He was an unknown. I love when people have a good vision and give unknowns a chance.
Yes they did many interviews afterwards. They put out a I think 30 year anniversary DVD of moonlighting I got as a gift (from Walmart from $9 ) with many today (maybe 2016??) interviews and and explanations and the history of included in it. With the creators both stars. It was great seeing them together. I d love seeing them together in anything again even if it's just a cameo of course yet on his next film.
When I was working in the UK for 2 years, my favorite show on BBC2 were Miami Vice, Moonlighting, and The A Team - - in that order. Miami Vice was "cool," Moonlighting was funny as hell and fun to watch, and The A Team was pure "brainless escapist action fun." I looked forward to all 3 of them every week.
This is a perfect example of the arrogant Bruce days. He called this award a little bowling trophy. Luckily though there was a bigger star than him in the 80s called Don Johnson who wasn't full of himself.
Sorry but Bruce was being PC for them. It’s now been stated by the creator and even Bruce somewhat that majority of the time, Bruce and Cybill argued and did not get along. There’s nothing wrong with that. They were coworkers not friends as it was a job. The creator said as much of a hit every knew they had-Cybill grew increasingly frustrated with the long hours. He said he doesn’t think she realized how tight the schedule was due to the fact that Maddie and David were in nearly every scene. So that added to tension as well as the fact that Bruce garnered more attention and accolades. She was the name and he was the newbie and he started to overshadow her. The good news is, when they yelled action-magic happened because Bruce and Cybill were lightning in a bottle. BTW, for the first time ever, Moonlighting will stream on Hulu starting 10/10/23!!! Looking forward to the first 3 seasons lol. Quality started to dip after that.
Wow now THAT was a tough choice w such a PRICELESS year and era of shows!! Notice people wayyyy back when ALL WAS POSITIVE!! Lord, all is drama horror now which trickles into reality times and daze #BETHECHANGE
I will always love this Bruce “better” than the action man. Sorry! The character he portrayed exuded such sweetness, humility and depth! Adored him and “Moonlighting!!” ❤️❤️❤️
David is so dreamy. Alpha male with a heart of gold.
David Addison and John McClane will always be Bruce's best and most endearing roles. They showed how great an actor he truly is unlike all the other stiff, stoic and one dimensional roles Hollywood has stuck him with the last 30 odd years.
I'd include Malcolm in The Sixth Sense, too.@@kendallrivers1119
Many Japanese people were watching the Moonlighting too!

Show was one of a kind. All it takes is talent, originality, and balls.
None of which tv shows today have lol.
Not many people are aware that Bruce Willis is both a Golden Globe and Emmy winner
Bruce Willis is such a legend. Way more than just an action star.
Bruce was the true launching in the 80's
@@superlex611 We all think Miami Vice, but Moonlighting was way up there .
Wow, I had forgotten how many great and wonderful performers Bruce and Cybil beat out. They all should of gotten an award.
well all of her co-nominees did ultimately win Emmys for the same roles in which they were nominated for the Globes.
Thanks for this video. Seeing the nominations I couldn't help but think how many great comedies there were in the 80's. I wish TV could be as good now as it was back then.
I was thinking the same thing!

This Was and Still is Great with Lady Cybill Shepherd and Bruce Willis Winning The Emmy for Moonlighting
my favorite show as an adult. really nailed down how guys & gals think, talk , behave, feel and Love...and very stupid , funny and terribly romantic! love Bruce & Cybil.
The sexual chemistry was palpable - Bruce was perfect as a cocky smart ass, LOL.😎✌🏽🇺🇸
seriously all these amazing shows on at the same time. the 80's were awesome
Going up against the 4 Golden Girls and win! I love Moonlighting so much!
Bruce Willis was so beautiful back then.

So thankful for Cybil getting Bruce into the show.😉🎥🍿
Cybill is magnanimous.
Ah the good old days so many legends I can't even watch today's golden globes it's so different now
Omg I remember Cybil saying "I love Bruce Willis" from when I was 7!!! Damn that was 31 years ago!!!

I miss the era of sitcoms. It’s just not the same anymore. Families sitting around the TV watching together. ❤❤
Us too ! Someone should do what those from Moonlighting and other sitcoms did. Do things with kindness, dignity
What a fantastic bunch of nominees!!!
I love the freeze frames at the end of each episode, they are very emotiinal heartwarming
Bruce Willis a doll and a legend...what a hunk!!!

Wow! What nominees! Just the best of the best!
I. Love. Bruce. Willis.
Moonlighting was a fun show to watch.
Omfg he was soooo cuteee back then. I wish their was a Time Machine to go back and see him cuz I wasn’t born until 1997..
The magic of TV recording and RUclips: Bittersweet!
I loved Moonlighting, although Bruce and Cybil never liked each other. Guess that's why the show was so good.
They did and didn’t. Containing chemistry like that must have been next to impossible

Wow,It's Lady Cybill Shepherd From Moonlighting and The Movies
❤️Cybill&Bruce❤️
These award shows are basically all the shows on TV at the time
Bruce Willis and John Larroquette are buddies in real life they worked together in the same year in a movie called 'Blind Date' with Kim Basinger
❤God Continue Blessings ❤
damn....sure was a lot of great shows back then
Totally Awesome Enmy Award for Moonlighting and Bruce Willis
There were so many good shows. Original, full of real talent.
Now, I rarely even turn on the TV, & 90% of the time it's an old show.
Season 2 was tight. A really well put together FULL year. S1 was quarter season getting it going from the pilot, but pretty funny.
Bruce rose to fame! He's more than an action star! Half of Hollywood wished, they had his success!
All those shows were great!
The competition for that year was amazing. It was the writing that took them to the top, methinks.
Wow, that was some awesome competition!!!
📌Ahhh those were the days.🌹🕊️
Суперский сериал, браво Брюс и Сибил!
From my understanding, Bruce and Cybill ended their feud a few years ago.
Yes they did many interviews afterwards. That show was MAGIC…
Wow, she beat ALL the Golden Girls!!!
She HAD to...
.Can you imagine the next day on the GG show-set if just ONE of the actresses had won it? _Awwwkwwaaarrd!!_ O~O
Everyone should win...lol....these are legends!!!
Poor Golden Girls. The entire cast was nominated and they still lost to Cybil. LOL
Everyone is so gorgeous in a natural way. The 80s!,
Glenn Gordon Caron gets credit for Bruce Willis --- thanks.
This was the 1987 Golden Globe Awards
For better or worse, that whole lineup for Best Actor in a Comedy is just a murderer's row of awesome!

They just released it for streaming on Hulu today! ❤️

Moonlighting Strangers🎶🎵🎷
I'm surprised John Larroquette didn't try to beat him up. Like this comment if you understand
Why would he?
I loved the first 3 years or so, but then the show took a real different direction. After that I was just ok with it.
How sly of Bruce to use the question of a feud to steal another kiss from Cybil.
What did they use to film this, a toast machine?
A potato! The 80's were wild ;)
