I feel like Accel is a tower that is meant to dish out a huge amount of damage in a short amount of time. But now it required buffs to be barely better than engineers without buffs. So even though the accel got buffed recently (as in a few months ago), it still needs some buffs in some areas.
ikr, as i didn't expect gatling to have such low single target dps, but it's still good in squads cause it's a good option for a 2nd DPS cause there's only 1
the test is flawed because he didnt account for the fact that they have to build all of the sentries, they were already built, if they werent it wouldve been way slower than accel + if he gives them the sentries automatically then he shouldve had the accels already charged
@@Anxforti why would the sentries not be built… this video is showing how quick every dps tower could possibly kill a fallen giant, accelerator still killed it quite quickly. G mini wasnt attacking instantly either.

@@Anxforti its not as much of a flaw as accelerators charge up. the main issue with accelerator is the fact that it takes a second to even notice the enemy, like shown in the video, and then after that it has to charge up for a second too.
I feel like engi is the best, killing the fallen giant the fastest, having mostly stun immune sentries, sentries having explosion shots for splash damage, having one of the best cost efficiency, and being very reliable in early, mid, and late game
@@taranboi7655 yeah i mostly agree but few things you got wrong 1) it shouldnt have killed the giant the fastest, minigunner was clearly better since engi already had all sentries placed down, even if he wanted them all down to show the max dps possible it was still flawed since he shouldve accounted for the fact that having to build the sentries is a downside to the engi, also the engineer herself isnt stun immune which he shouldve also mentioned, the explosion shots sure, and i wouldnt say its extremely reliable in early game, mid and late game definitely but if youre using engi for early game on fallen its probably not gonna be a very fast run
@ the sentries arent always built if stuff leaks then theyre gonna disappear which is why the entire test was flawed, it shouldve shown the engineers with no sentries at first
you should also probably consider stun immunity, making ranger, engineer (semi stun immune but turrets are her main dps anyway so i consider her stun immune), gyatling and pursuit even more good, especially for bosses

Depending on what you need some towers can be better so for older game modes like the special ones and hardcore g mini is really op because it’s fully buff able so you can get 110% fire rate and 60% damage (70% fire rate if you dislike sugar rush) So it’s dps is crazy and it’s best for those but accel and g mini are about to fall out hard bc hardcore rework and special game modes rework so more stuns (I would rather use turret then a tower that doesn’t to anything)
i think pursuit and turret are the best dps towers (pursuit first and turret second) after that rebalance, they knew that turret was the best tower now but on pursuit it was just crazy

Engi is more versatile because it has Early game capabilities ( low cost) Mid game capabilities( insane cost efficiency) Late Game capabilities( Insane DPS) Semi Stun immunity ( Sentries shield recovers after ≈ 3-4 seconds) Good range Splash damage All types of detection Very reliable ( just place at the front and the sentries will 99% of the time will be there) Total DPS of 2400 for ≈ 360000$

The tower itself cannot be considered as a dps tower while although riot guard stack can deal about 18k damage on solo, it's not consistent and is very map dependant, as well as it's a unit tower so the timing affects it's ranking.

it's better to do it without support as you won't always carry support towers in-game.
there are MANY things to take into account, such as range, stun immunity, splash, etc so the answer may vary depending on what you need

Even then, Accelerator only has SLIGHTLY more dps than the engineer if you consider all buffs.
So in conclusion the raw dps winner is engineer while buffed dps is accelerator
