If we are reading the passage in good faith then no they are not endorsing it in THIS SPECIFIC passage.
They are talking about dowry law, the rest is irrelevant.
They are not talking about legal rules of other cases.
Of course the Talmud is full of horrible things that we Muslims reject, but if we are going to criticize it then we should read it in good faith and bring up actual arguments.

If somebody had it with a 3 year. Then the punishment should have been mentioned not what money she can get when she marries and have to prove that she was raped by a grown man. And if they had to mention these things with such specifications, I wonder how much it is in practice. Because these things should have been out of question and must have been treated with severe criminality, but they have just mentioned what the victim must go through after the act of criminal.

    • @ph0uad
      @ph0uad 2 дня назад

Jewish law, similar to Islamic law, is very detailed and thorough, and goes into every single issue and makes sure no situation is left unaccounted for. If you read books of fiqh, you'll find prescriptions for the most strange of situations, such as whether it's okay to combine and shorten prayers when the travel between two far-off places occurs instantaneously by means of teleportation. The Shafi'is would make fatawa for situations that haven't occurred yet, just in case they would occur in the future. So just because in the Talmud there are prescriptions for how to deal with dowry in certain cases doesn't mean that those cases are in any way being endorsed; at worst they're recognizing the reality of such cases and giving them an understanding of how to deal with it.

"Niddah 5:4" is a Mishnah that teaches that a girl of the age of three years and one day may be betrothed by intercourse and if a yavam had intercourse with her, he acquires her thereby. The Mishnah emphasizes that this is not discussing the advisability of such an act, merely the efficacy. It also teaches that in a legal sense, sexual relations with a girl over the age of three counts as sexual relations.
"Mishnah" - The Mishnah is the first major written collection of Jewish oral traditions, also known as the Oral Torah1. It was systematically compiled by scholars over a period of about two centuries and was given its final form in the 3rd century AD by Judah ha-Nasi. The Mishnah is considered the written form of oral explanations of the Jewish Law given to Moses by God.
"bethrode" - engaged to be married.
"yavam" or The surviving brother - the yavam - is called upon to replace his brother who has passed on and, by marrying his wife, effectively takes that brother’s place.

In the 1970s, I walked into a local Jewish shop (Rue Richer, Paris IX, just a few steps from the Foliies Bergeres and the Grand Orient Masonic Lodge) to buy a complete Talmud Collection. The librarian-shopkeeper who saw me many times before and who was convinced I was Jewish (I was wearing a Kippa) told me not to buy the collection he was selling because this was printed in French and meant ONLY FOR GENTILES, and it is not the true Talmud!

4:00 Man, this Christian is so delusional. If anything, this just gives me further respect for Judaism, because of how meticulous and precise they are with practicing their religion (or at least how they used to be). In no way does the Talmud endorse the rape of 3 year olds, it literally just provides an understanding for such victims as to how to receive dowry. It addresses all situations, even the uncomfortable ones, and gives explanations on what to do.

If you going to review text of other religions, rather read it yourself 1st before putting it on a podcast. There are many Christian Apologetic podcasts where they misrepresent Islam (don't know where they get their info from) and that is how misinformation is spread. The Bibles are humanity’s narratives, equivalent to humanity’s Aḥaadiiṯ (plural of Ḥadiiṯ) which are Muslim men's nonfactual hearsay narratives.
In the Hebrew Bibles, it's Elōhīm which is a plural, and it's the suffix -īm which makes it plural, that's used as masculine plural noun in Hebrew, and is related to Ugaritic «İ-L-H»-M. But, it's understood depending on whether it's used with singular adjective or verb or plural adjective or a verb.
In the same Hebrew Bibles, Ělōah is the singular, same as Aramaic singular indefinite Elāh = God + suffixed definite article -ā = Elāhā = the God, same exists in Syriac (which is an Aramaic dialect) dialects as Elāh or Alāh = God + suffixed definite article -ā = Elāhā / Alāhā = the God.
The indefinite noun for both Ěloah and Elāh / Alāh, its original sound is
      İlāh or İlaah
And for that, the ᶜArabic retains that original pronunciation İlaah or İlāh for both pre-Qur’aan revelation ᶜArabic speakers and post-Qur’aan revelation ᶜArabic speakers.
Also, El or İl as God in the Semitic languages is not the original as some say but shortened or apocopated of İlaah / İlāh «İl-aah / İl-āh»
İn the pre-Qur’aan ᶜArabic just as post-Qur’aan ᶜArabic speakers in their inscriptions they wrote it down and pronounced as İlaah / İlāh إِلَٰهٌ indefinite, and the definite Al-İlaah / Al-İlāh pronounced just as its written or pronounced as Allaah < Al-İlaah, and its triliteral root-pattern is أَلِف-لَام-هَاء Alif-Laam-Haa’ (Alif أ with Hamza ء is above with a fatḥa ءَ a أَ vowel or Hamza ء with a ḍamma ءُ u أُ vowel, and Hamza ء as beneath with a kasra ءِ i vowel إِ hence the indefinite noun as إِلَٰهٌ İlaah / İlāh).
Allaah < Al-İlaah it's the ᶜArabic language that retains its original sound as opposed to any other so-called the Semitic languages that are away from it!

Assalam ua aleikum ua r'rahmatulla ua barakkatuh brother! This man judging based on emotions, with no any knowledge of Hebrew and cames with no explanation of those words. Because it would bother him to do some research. So does such people with Islamic books and scriptures. But i'm also don't expect him to know at all a so called Christian scriptures, especially those wich written in somehow original language. I suppose he doesn't know where a name "bible" comes from.

I think you missed the point Daniel. They don’t need to endorse a ruling, the ruling has implications. It’s saying if a 👧 less than 3 has had “relations” they are still classified as virgins. Why is a classification need if the “relations” were forbidden for 👧 under 3 in the first place?

That's what Aḥaadiiṯ (plural of Ḥadiiṯ) are = men's collections of nonfactual hearsay narratives that have no connections to Rasuulu-LLaahi and Nabii’u-LLaahi Muḥammad ﷺ and his Aṣḥaabat or his companions!

@@IlyasPhoenix that talmud if anything is compared to the bible. Because they both are a collection of different books written by unknown sources. Doesn’t compare to hadiths, that all point back to the teachings and life of one person, the prophet Muhammad. With a chain of documented narrators goin back to the time of the prophet.
