I saw another vid where someone opened theirs saying it was worth it. It’s too risky, heck, I’ve seen pretty disappointing pull rates from even the 151 UPC. I feel that since this collection is still available and not radically expensive that they’re opening their Charizard UPC because they just can’t help themselves lol.
I’m keeping mine sealed, and have been considering buying another one because I feel people are sleeping on this as a sealed collector’s piece. Sure this collection got printed to hell and back but that at least gave everyone a chance to buy them.
These are actually pretty rare now, they did indeed overprint it but ironically it made it "more rare" than if they normally printed them. Since the Charizard UPC was over printed the price of it completely tanked going down to $70-$80 pretty much everywhere including target and other big box stores and card shops couldn't sell them because no one was interested in it and they couldn't ship them because no one would be willing to pay the $10-$15 shipping for a UPC that was sold everywhere for $70. So card shops broke down the boxes by the thousands, just selling the packs and promos. They did the same for the 151 UPC as well but not nearly as much as they did for the Charizard UPC. So it's kind of ironic but due to that massive supply, it destroyed the demand which in turn made card shops break the item down which in turn made the UPC go from a ton of supply to very low supply in the matter of 2 years. It also helps that the Promos are actually really good as well.

I have opened 3 when they came out and kept 3 sealed each box I opened I got a 150+$ card so🤷♂️
I opened 2 cause my cats got at the seals and pulled 2 regular v,s and a rainbow aerodactyl. Rip
