Your perspective is very interesting. While most of the philanthropy highlighted in this video is very positive, I wonder about how careful some of the donors are in selecting non-profits especially. I say this as a biologist who has seen way too much environmental damage caused by well meaning, yet very naive charities that meddle in land and water management. The recent case in point would be the politics of forest and land management that caused the fires in southern California. The noble goals of the donors deserve an actual scientific entity to aid them in finding higher quality benefactors, not just the big names that spend so much money on self promotion in the name of "helping". There are plenty of small entities out there who are innovating new solutions instead of selling emotions. They need to be discovered. Many of them, like us, fund their research one client at a time which is efficient, yet slow. Releasing innovation is the powerhouse for the world's future. Donors need to be investors to grow answers more than lifelines for entities with questionable motives.
Did you bother to LISTEN to what was said here? They ALL give away millions upon millions of dollars. People who work hard and become successful owe nothing to the lazy who are not willing to do the same.
I've seen the homeless day after day. They're happy in their shelters and free food locations. But then, I did see one trying to steal a grocery cart from the Salvation Army... I guess the Salvation Army deserved that, being as they are the only credible charity on Earth, that doesn't steal from people.
