    Thanks for sharing your experiences, Nas. It's a shame that you had these issues but your video just gave us the facts, which is the important thing. Kudos to Adventure Kings for their after sales support...that's a very important part of any business. I hope your new rooftop tent has all the things you want/need for your adventures.

      Cheers buddy. No hard feelings for me towards Kings. I am glad to have the chance to try the unit I liked first.

    Totally agree with you. Adventure Kings have allowed lots more people to get out and about due to their pricing (and marketing). We are not a fan of their products and feel quality is far easier and cheaper in the long run.

    This is all down to you mate, should have been stripped down and aired out before you sealed in the moisture.
    This complaint is like I drove my car with no air in the tyres now they are all wrecked 😂😂😂😂

    • @NasTimeAdventures
      @NasTimeAdventures  Год назад

      Yes, the problem would have been avoided if I recognised the moisture before closing it. But I clearly did expect it or recognise it. Meanwhile, the reason the mattress was damp was due to a genuine product fault. As recognised by the supplier who ackowledged the fault and provided a full refund. Thank goodness for me. Thanks for watching.

    I’ve been sleeping/camping in a king’s mk 3 roof top tent for the past 2-3 months and it has handled everything we’ve thrown at it pretty well from corrugated roads to rainy weather I know it’s not the best out there but I’m happy with it for the price.

    • @NasTimeAdventures
      @NasTimeAdventures  2 года назад +2

      I still rate this RTT highly. I'd just be careful when storing it outside during long periods of heavy rain. Maybe use a tarp to be sure.

    Well I was on my way to buy the same 23Zero Saber tent, called into Kings on the way and ended up buying the Kings MK2 at a really discounted price. I mounted it on top of the canopy on my ute.
    Within 3 days of its purchase i had driven 180ks of rain so i decided to check if there was any moisture in side.
    It had leaked at the front right hand corner and across the rear.
    I drove straight to Kings and they were absolutely terrific.
    They offered me the MK3 at a reduced rate but I decided on a refund which I got within 3 working days.
    I ended up buying the Dune Nomad Hard top as it is lighter and cheaper than the 23Zero and fully laden I was at my max gvm on my BT50.
    Within two weeks of fitting the RTT in August this year I had left Brisbane for Birdsville, travelled down The Birdsville Track, Oodnadatta Track, Mount Dare Track and across The Simpson.
    No dust has entered the tent at anytime and I must it has performed flawless.
    I added all the things you had done to your 1st Kings RRT to give me a little more comfort, so thans for the tips.
    Hoping you have no problems with the 23zero, they are a great looking tent.
    Cheers Bing.

    Sorry to hear your RTT issues. That mold looked nasty. But glad to hear Adventure Kings gave you your money back. After nearly a year of doing RTT research, I finally bought one in April this year. I chose the Darche Ridgeback. And so far it's been performing well. No leaks/moulds (fingers crossed) and it's been through a lot of rain. The only slight issue, on the 2nd month ownhing it, is surface rust forming on one of the stainless steel roof hinges (there are 3 in total). Isn't stainless steel supposed to be rust proof?🤔 Darche has provided me a replacement under warranty. I choice the Ridgeback due to the repuation of the brand and the unique rear end design of the Ridgeback. It's surprising how much more room it gives you inside with its design. Highly recommended if you're claustrophobic. Good luck with your new RTT.

    G'day mate. Looking atva roof top tent. Love the reviews you've done. If you don't mind I would like to ask a few questions... what do you think went wrong with the Mk3 or is it just a poorly made product? Do you think applying some extra sealant on vulnerable places would eliminate and water leakage? Could it have been that the unit is so air tight the materials etc sweat and don't breath?

    • @NasTimeAdventures
      @NasTimeAdventures  Год назад +1

      The problem with the MK2 was the seal across the front. Make sure this sits ok before driving in the rain and you should be right. As for the mk3, i believe they have since sealed the top but if not, you could do it yourself and it would be fine. And just make sure you check it every so often for condensation. If you are unsure and want budget, look at the dune from anaconda. Or if you are happy to pay more, look at the 23zero range. Good luck.

      @NasTime Adventures looked at the 23zero, the Arb esperance and then found the San Hima Jervis pro. I like the look of the San Hima Jervis pro but can't seem to find any reviews of that one. The San Hima Jervis Pro seems like an amazing package for the price.

    Thanks Nas, It would be great to see how the 23 Zero holds up in comparison to the Kings one.. Wes there much difference in the price range ? It would be good to see if it is Quality for the money you spent. 🤠

    Thank you for the feedback, slightly freaking out…we recently brought the kings tourer m3, can you please elaborate further on the silicone job you recommended. Lay person here🫢 not sure meaning of rain pouring from the top…cheers

    • @NasTimeAdventures
      @NasTimeAdventures  2 года назад +1

      If storing it closed outside, it may be worth running a line of silicone around the edge. In mine, the water penetrated from the corners. Alternately, consider keeping it under a tarp or cover of some kind. Just make sure it doesn't sweat. Maybe talk to Kings and see what they suggest. You want to make sure it doesn't void your warranty. Overall though, it's a good unit. Good luck.

    That's one of the good things about Adventure Kings, their aftersales service. While some of their products have questionable quality, it's their aftersales service that gives me peace of mind to try out their products. Some of their products are actually good. I've had my Kings 160W fixed solar, 200W solar blanket, 120W AGM battery, and LED driving lights now for 4 years and they're still going strong (touch wood). But they should do more R&D and get a much better manufacturer from overseas to provide their goods. These constant substandard quality products of theirs of late is turning their brand into the "butt of all jokes", in the industry. Eventually, no matter how great their service is, consumers will no longer consider their products.

    • @NasTimeAdventures
      @NasTimeAdventures  2 года назад +2

      Well said mate. I still have a number of Kings products that serve me well. I've had their tyre inflator for five years and going strong.

    So, you upload two videos talking highly about the RTT mrk 3 and now we have a negative reaction video. Was the leak caused by you or was it due to the roof

    • @NasTimeAdventures
      @NasTimeAdventures  Год назад

      I still think highly of the Kings RTT. I have made a video explaining my story but short version is the roof leaked whilst in storage and after I got my money back, I went out and bought the RTT I originally planned on getting. And we live happily ever after. 🙏😎

    Kings just had their RTT on sale for $1795 ..... pretty hard to look past .Cant be that bad can it ? I also like the 23 Zero RTT and the Darche Ridgeback RTT , but these tents are beween $4K and $5K .....
    All made in China ...... Hard to justify despite the quality Difference . I am thinking The Kings will be fine with proper maintanence .

    • @NasTimeAdventures
      @NasTimeAdventures  Год назад +1

      I agree. Double the price does not mean double the value. That's why I started with Kings. All I would do with the MK3 is make sure it was sealed up top. Especially of storing outside. Good luck mate.

    A good balanced review and I agree entirely, Kings have brought a heap to the industry despite all the knockers and I have many Kings products I am entirely happy with, including a canvas rooftop tent I used to have which was the ants pants. For those who wish to rubbish them purely on price and not experience, your loss.
