    At 5.48 wt is the side view of the section? Is it L shape or inverted L(i.e. outstanding leg on top side)

    Please note for the practise question - diameter of the bolt is 20mm & Grade of steel is Fe410.

    Design strength of the plate =227.27 KN
    Avg=1000mm^2
    Avn=670mm^2
    Atg=600mm^2
    Atn=446mm^2
    Tdb=262.87KN
    Tdb=250.55 KN
    Therefore the block shear strength i got 250.55 KN

    Now,Tdb= 216.82 KN and 205.09 KN
    Therefore the block shear strength=205.09KN.
