I've crossed that walkway many times on trips to Akumal. Scared the crap out of me every time! The feeling that it could collapse at any moment is very real considering all the rusted bolts and joints.
Primative conditions? Akumal is hardly primative. I m not sure what you re basing that opinion on.
The average person is paying around $400. A day. And you go off the grid...... wow that was Mexico raw!
