Hey Maxime, may I ask if you upgraded anything about the oil system or the engine itself for track abuse? I'm preparing the 2zz engine to do the swap soon, but I'm not sure if I really need to upgrade the oil pump gears for example. I'll also use it as track/ringtoy :) Thanks in advance!
@@benniekerkhof Hi ! I only added a Moroso oil pan and a 13 row oil cooler with 2 Spal fans in the right fender, and it’s still getting pretty hot after 10 minutes of hard driving on track, water temp is ok but oil is going up to 120ºC. I bought the car with the engine already swapped but without all this, and if I had to swap it myself I would change the oil pump gears for sure, for peace of mind. Upgrading or at least replacing the oil pump gears with new ones is something recommanded for this engine, especially while it’s out it’s way easier. 🙂
@@MaximePain Thanks a lot! I've already a baffled sump and an oil cooler was also on the list. I'll order the Toda oil pump gear, because indeed it's much much easier while the engine is out of the car haha! Maybe I see you next year on the ring with both MR2 2ZZ :)
Japan Racing JR3 15x8 et25 with 225 50 15 A052 square setup, but a bit too much sidewall, so too much rubbing, it’s better with 225 45 15, wheel size is perfect for my driving style :)
I love it, front goes where I want it to go, rear is very planted, it’s perfect on my opinion. But I made a mistake on tires size, the sidewall is too big with 225 50 15, so quite a bit of rubbing, my last set was in 225 45 15 and it’s better, no rubbing at all. :)

Would love to see Misha Charoudin drive this beast!
Same here
he wouldnt drive as good as this guy
Think this driver knows his car better and could drive faster.

An absolute joy to watch. Little question: What intake and exhaust setup are you running? Stock ECU?
Stock Celica TS ECU, MWR intake, and a custom exhaust :)
Brilliant drive, love it!

I saw your car in Adenau on Saturday!! How do you like the square setup 225?

@@MaximePain i wan to try same setup with ar1 225 45 r15 in my mr2 k20a2, do you have a istagram page of your car build?
Ar1 225 45 15 is great, I’d say same grip as the a052 but better endurance, @maxime.pai for my insta but I post rarely :)

200 subs for that lap : OK 👍
time to turbo it and kick some porsche butt

@@DimoS... Yes a Moroso baffled oil pan, mandatory on track
@MaximePain with this thing, 2zz is bulletproof! Have you ever worn intake camshaft lobes? Also, which oil do you use?

25 overtakes and 250 indicator movements 😂 Nice lap though, easily a sub 8 minute lap without traffic and passenger.
@@MRS-2ZZ Haha I love to use my indicators and Flashlight 😅
Yea it’s always very busy so difficult to do a clean lap..
@@MaximePain it just shows how capable a standard 2zz mr2 is. I reckon a 7:50 is achievable with no traffic.
@@MRS-2ZZ Very capable and so much fun, even if a bit more power won’t hurt, with these long straight, the uphill section is too much ^^
