  • Light's a bit dodgy, sorry. Nothing dodgy about the puzzle.

I spend hours upon hours learning how to solve puzzles simply, then recording the videos, editing if needed, uploading and releasing. My videos have no ads or calls to action and I’m not monetised. I expect nothing in return, but nice comments are welcome. I'm always grateful to receive even a small donation through buymeacoffee; every little bit helps, and lets me know people appreciate what they're seeing. Thankyou very much!
    ALGORITHMS
I specialise in solving puzzles simply, and generally use only two algorithms:
    Edge Piece Series: F R’ F’ R (and similar)
    Corner Piece Series: U R U’ L’ U R’ U’ L
    (Occasionally, when needed, I use sune: R U R’ U R U2 R’)
I absolutely love breaking down a difficult puzzle to the point where I can solve it using essentially nothing more than these two algorithms, or combinations.
    ABOUT ME
For a little of my history, go here: • I Never Meant to be on... .
If you like the sound of a calm, considered and thoughtful approach to solving twisty puzzles, you've landed at the right place. I solve puzzles with a "why", not just a "how".

That's a football! For the geometry of the classical football, please refer to Matt Parker's video "All UK football road signs are wrong!" on the RUclips channel Stand-up Maths. There's a fellow Aussie nerd for you! :)

    Some info about Tuttminx:
The only "jumbling" moves you can do is rotating hexagon faces odd number of time (so 1/3/5) but this is considered an "illegal" move and even VeryPuzzle recommends against doing so as it can lead to various issues. It's not like with Curvy Copter, for example, where jumbling doesn't have any negative impact on the mechanism aside from bandaging.
The different texture of stickers on pentagon faces is mainly done to prevent you from doing an illegal turn (since you will easily notice when textured stickers are aligning with normal stickers instead of other textured ones).
Honestly, it's so good to see Tuttminx finally returning, I've been wanting to get one for quite some time.

Thanks for this extra info rafael, very helpful. It's been so long since I had the 1st one I obviously misremembered about the jumbling...

Looks great! The pics on the cubezz page don't look like the same puzzle to me - just from the number of visible faces in the camera angle compared to yours in this video.

They definitely look the same to me. I wonder which pics you're seeing that make it seem different?

@@twistypuzzling Their pic has the silver pentagram head-on, and I can't see anything on the other sides of the five adjacent hexagons. In your video I see significantly more visible faces at any given time, which made me think the cubezz page wasn't showing a puzzle w/ 32 faces.
I suppose it could be camera distance or some effect of perspective. Anyway, if you say that's the same puzzle, that's more that good enough for me. Seems a ridiculously reasonable price :) It'll be a nice addition.

This puzzle does not "jumble", those moves are "possible", but if you continue to do them the puzzle will lock up and/or pop. Fudging is when the designer deliberately adjusts the geometry of a design to make otherwise impossible moves possible. This usually involves opening up gaps between pieces so they can move past each other.

i solved this on my phone before iit took me 3 hours for the frist and my pb is 1 hour and 20 minutes on the phone it only allows you to do normal turns on the pentagon faces and double turns on the hexagon faces
