The concept of 'pro bono' work, which means 'for the public good' is inspired by principles of Christian love and service. As Christians, we are to show love towards people with what we have. Jesus Christ's ultimate sacrifice is presented as the model for our own giving, urging us to use our material possessions to support our brothers and sisters in need. We are encouraged to be vigilant of the needs around us, to thoughtfully consider our available resources, and to respond to the Holy Spirit's promptings with a willing heart.
