His CONSISTENCY in telling the truth makes me respect this man.
Paul Washer always speaks to the heart of the matter.
Not concerned too much with "how it will be received", but more concerned with speaking truth.
Amen. That's why many can respect him. Love or hate him, you got to respect the man.
A church lives or dies by its elders. His comment is right on target.
Paul is right on- I respect him
even some reform pastors ask so childish these days ☹️
People speaks the Truth no one likes to hear because they live for the world and not fo God.
By the grace of God I somehow found Paul Washer decently early after I was truly converted. His preaching was hard to listen to but it was truth and the truth sets people free. All glory to God
Amen 🙏🏽
The greatest gift after being saved for me was finding Paul Washers preaching. I first turned to false preachers, but came across Paul Washer online and he became like a spiritual father to me. So thankful for his ministry.
I relate to this so much! He’s a true man of God and I’m thankful for him.
Me too!! I found John MacArthur too
Same with me... I had borrowed a laptop and I found his sermons...and from that day his sermons are good and nourishing to me
Same.
You are not yet saved, only converted. And Washer is a Sunday keeper. What's true about that?
Praise God for this man who speaks the truth. There’s so many woke pastors now that have watered down the Word to appease the masses rather than offending the masses with the truth of Scripture to please the Lord.
Actually the woke pastors is in my view not even the worst. It's obvious false teaching and shouldn't take long for most christians to realize. The biggest problem is those who have a name as a brother but preach a gospel with a twist that makes it no gospel at all. That's serious dangerous and i'm VERY afraid that's the case in most churches.
Well said.
@@pyramusk3264 2 Peter 2:1
@@tucomtyler Do you care to elaborate?
@@pyramusk3264 You mentioned people or 'brothers' coming and teaching false Gospels as being really dangerous and you're right. If you receive a false Gospel it will be accompanied by a different Jesus and a spirit of error. 2Corinthians 11:4. But also really dangerous because it is a damnable heresy, meaning it will lead the hearers of this doctrine to damnation. This is because you cannot be saved if you deny the true Gospel and deny that Jesus is the son of God.
Indeed! Many pastors/churches are so worried about the sentiments of their congregation rather than teaching/preaching about the salvation of God... where the spirit of the Lord is there is freedom, chains are broken and eyes are open. Don’t be transformed by the world...
Amen.
I agree with Paul Washer 100%plus!!! The church needs Pastors who have a fear of the Lord and preaches God's truth no matter what!
Also, the leadership in the home is important.
@@karlhanson1229 No matter what? unless there is a not very lethal virus.
What's God's truth got to do with Sunday keeping?
@@eltonron1558 Nothing. Keeping the Sabbath for Christians today means putting to rest our own works of the flesh (6) and saying yes to God (7).
@@shadowmist1246 Saying yes to God, is showing God love. Showing God love, is not a tradition, concocted by men, but keeping his holy sanctified Sabbath, as both he and your savior insist.
Amen, so true, and Paul Washer is right. Many pastors are taking things of God lightly, and have no reverence to true doctrine of God. And, those who hold this office are in stricter judgement as well. And, sadly, many are deceived in the midst and led astray too by them. There's no fear of God in them either. God bless you Brother Paul Washer and your ministry.
Did not expect that answer, but that is spot on.
Wow- this is so spot on.
Amen... And we, the church members, should pray more for our pastors.
"But Moses’ hands grew weary, so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it, while Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side. So his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. And Joshua overwhelmed Amalek and his people with the sword.
Exodus 17:12-13 ESV
Amen.
I appreciate brother Paul's straight talking and his passion for the church and for the gospel even thought I wouldn't necessarily reside in the same 'Reformed' theological stable as him. He's definitely hit the proverbial nail on the head regarding the churches greatest threat in this generation! Leonard Ravenhill once said regarding this subject; "A river will never rise higher than it's source."
The pastor is speaking the truth. As a pastor myself, I agree. Many church members do not know. They do not know how many bad people there are among pastors. I know because I have experienced it myself. There are indeed many bad people among the pastors I work with. But the church members do not know. Perhaps this pastor has also felt this way seeing many fellow workers. Amen.
True...our pastors doesn't lead like true shepherds does...but truth also is,we need to follow Jesus..our pastors responsibility as well as our own
In the Old Testament God took issue with the negligent, unfaithful shepherds but he also said "my people love to have it so." Weak pastors give the people what they want. People with itching ears select teachers to suit their own likings. Jesus also took the shepherds to task for binding heavy burdens on their charges which they themselves wouldn't lift with a finger (Matthew 23:1-5). Because they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God (John 12 :42-43).
@@josedopwell9645 David Wilkerson had a great sermon about this issue “The Priesthood of Zadok”. I recommend it a lot.

“The reformers didn’t wanna be reformers, they just wanted to be biblical”
This should be hung at the door, so radicalists stay outside. We are radically on the side of God and His Word, we dont have and dont want a spirit of rebellion against authority.
Who's authority?Tyrannical madmen running your life?
You lost me on that last part because no one wants to go against the church elders/leaders or preacher when they twist scripture for their own purpose. Their are so many like that. It's why I don't go for years. I always read my own Bible. They can't trick me. As Paul said, "test everything that is said."
Why are Sunday keepers, always claiming to be radical for God's word?
Paul Washer is a real one 🙏❤
In the late 1980’s I and my two very young daughters were left for dead by a group of pastors/elders. Our Lord saw and knows and that to me is all that matters. However, He chose to share His heart a little on the matter, and two things in particular were given. Bless Him for He took me to Ezekiel 34 and secondly made me also aware of the Jezebel spirit and how it worked. I was almost afraid to believe it at the time thinking Our Lord would punish us for thinking thus of the church. Over time, of course, this is plain. Since that time we still cannot overcome the damage but that is o.k as we don’t try and be part of it all anymore and just thank Him for keeping us. He never leaves us and is indeed the true Shepherd. Thankyou Paul Washer for having a lowly heart, I admire that. ❤️from Australia.
This is something that weighs heavily on me when I see the state of the churches in the city where I live. I have only been a Christian for about two years but grew up believing I was a Christian my whole life. I was part of a church that is very liberal and seemingly absent of any fear of The Lord. I see immorality in the youth there because the perception they have of God in their minds reflects the kind of God they have been taught and teach each other and not the God of the Bible. There is no reverence, pursuit of holiness, understanding of sin and the desire to please God first instead of man. Each time I have tried to voice my concern I'm met with 'well that's just your opinion,' 'God still works through what we're doing,' or 'you're just more conservative than us but we're both right.' I know I'm only a young believer and perhaps it's not my place, but I couldn't in good conscience say nothing. I hate that God is watered down to appeal to people and it breaks my heart to see young men and women in the church living immorally, doing great damage to themselves and yet worshipping God at the same time. I have joined the local Baptist Church and commited myself to being mentored by the elders there and praying about it at the moment but it still weighs heavy on me when I think about it.
Very well said, Aaron!
Is it this church that you are attending right now? And I can see that you are a true Christian don't worry trust God that He will hold you just like me. Some other Christian experience the same. Others don't even have any church yet because of the problems they see in the church right now. We shouldn't judge them that is true but at the same time we shouldn't keep silent.
Maybe be like the Bible answer man and search out the Orthodox Christian Church. "When you fast, do not do as the Pharisees", Love In Christ!
Romans chapter 6 explains very well how we believers are suppose to live. The verses explains that a person will be either a servant to sin or a servant to GOD.
I'm not innocent, however, as long as you are a Sunday keeper, you are not in persuit of truth, nor holiness. You have a bible, prove me wrong.
I see so little true biblical and heart felt leaders in my church, and they are pretty closed minded, im not trying to condemn them, i know every local church has its problems but the real danger is when we as leaders we stop recognizing that and focus on minor things, give emphasis to minor things, and its sad, I see so many leaders focused on their own concerns, but not on what concerns Christ.
Those of us who are younger men must not be satisfied with the religiosity of halfhearted and umbilical elders, for one day we will take their place, and it should bring a healthy fear and reverence to God, and to the work of Christ. So we do not fall into the same pit as the last generation.
Good one bro!
Pray in all things, live breathe and worship Christ all day long and more!
That is what I was taught in the Orthodox Church.
Love those that hate you, let no division be among you, love your neighbor as yourself. Bless The Lord, Oh my soul, and all that is within me, Bless His Holy Name! Put not your trust in princes, in sons of men, in whom there is no salvation! Love.
Pray for the guidance and leading of the Blessed Holy Spirit and you'll never be wrong.

Amen! Sadly some churches have postponed the Prayer Meetings during the summer! What? A sad indictment on the Body of Christ!
The ' church' has failed miserably during this season. Conforming to restrictions and complying with fear. There has been no noticeable distinction between sacred and secular. What a poor witness!
Won't ever meet you on this earth. But will in heaven. Ty so much
It's true that we have to uphold ministers in our daily prayer....
Been a fan of Paul Washer for a while. He is a truth teller. My church is a mess. The slogan they recite during the announcements is: "We're here for the curious as well as the committed." Why can't it be: "We preach Christ crucified." Last Sunday the pastor asked "Raise your hand if you've read the Exodus story" just like he was addressing a group of 12 year olds. It's watered-down spiritual milk there. Please pray for all of these churches.
It would help a lot if parents would accept Jesus. And your right. Preachers. Teachers ect..were saved also.
Parents being saved have to do with preachers being saved.
Thanks brother Paul, hope to shake your hand one day, stay burdened and finish strong.

2 Tim 4:3 - "For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the wholesome teaching, but according to their own desires, they will surround themselves with teachers to have their ears tickled."
Yes. Ordained seminary graduates, spoon fed, and spoon feeding the heresy of Sunday keeping.
Great question and amazing answer, as usual. I'm also amazed by how many pastors and "lay" people there are who refuse to accept what Jesus says. Instead, they want to know what so-and-so says.
Jesus asked his disciples, "Who do the people say that I am?" Why is this such an important question to answer? It's important because if you have the wrong Jesus, then you won't have eternal life. Pastors think they know who Jesus is, but they don't. They think he's a second god person of a three person union. He's not. Jesus said that God the Father is the ONLY TRUE God, then he said you also have to know who he is if you want eternal life. That's not the Trinity. He told the Pharisees that he is the Father - or "I AM" in John 8, and if they didn't believe in him, then they would die in their sins. Does that sound like the Trinity?
1 John 2:22-25 says that the title "Christ" holds the two titles of Father and Son with in it. The Son of Man; the Son of God, is Jesus Christ, and he holds ALL of those titles, even the title of the Everlasting Father - bodily. In short, Jesus Christ is the ONLY TRUE God, the Father, in the flesh. See? There is NO Trinity, only ONE God. The Trinity is Greek philosophy that evil men brought into the church using "Christianese." Who will believe what Jesus said? If you don't believe him, but you believe your pastor about the Trinity, then you will die in your sins. Not my words, those are Jesus's words to the Pharisees who hated him, in John 8. Don't believe me? Good. Search the Scriptures in humility and ask Jesus to show you the truth. And I pray that you will accept it!☺️💕
Your ministry is amazing, beloved. Thank you for the uncountable truths shared by you over so many years. May God richly bless you more and more . In Jesus name I pray.
I left the church over 2 years ago, because these so called pastors have become apostitized! They're all about the numbers and money, preaching these feel good messages instead of fire and brimstone, because they're afraid of losing members!
If you tune into Alistair Begg's Truth for Life daily program or his Parkside Church in Ohio, you will discover the truth of the gospel. I too went through a couple of decades of pompous and arrogant pulpit preaching, and have been going through a detox to unlearn all that I learned. Give it a second try my brother. You will be so thankful that you did.
@@lonmayer130 thanks Brother,will do.
At my age, I can look back and see where the church started educating its pastors in seminaries that became more and more liberal. Churches tried to lure youth in a competition against culture. The gospel was lost in this.
I hate how the pastors want to try and laugh it off to strip that statement of its sting! Why are we going to laugh about what brings grief to the heart of God and destruction to the church?
You mean Paul’s response that got laughter? Pretty sure it was an instinctive discomfort response, not because “haha funny joke”
@@diyth yes, his statement. I hope it was a laughter of discomfort. But being around pastors for years, and having witnessed that all too common “jesting attitude” of even ministers, I’m lead to believe that they laughed because they actually thought it was funny.
Not only that, it always tends be those who are very zealous and upright that receive laughter from those who are less spiritual. It’s like someone at school who gets bullied and gets capped on for their looks or dress, and as a way of self-defense, they join in on the joining with Self deprecating humor.

He's right. As a business owner myself, if something goes wrong in my company it's my fault. It always goes back to the leader. In churches, I believe they don't kick out the brothers or sisters who are indulging in sin which then spreads to the whole batch of dough. The church is a business.
Thank our Father God, He ALWAYS keeps a remnant! There are still preachers of the pure gospel, teachers of pure Truth. Praise Yah!

Much needed message. I'll share this with my network :)
Every time I listen to him I get crushed.

Crushed in a good way.
Agreed! So good!!
Watch his series on Proverbs. He is wonderfully encouraging! My children soak up his teaching and love smiley "Mr Washer" :)
Brother Paul is right. I know a pastor who white pastoring 2 different churches the worship leaders were living in open fornication which he refused to discipline biblically. Each time when asked about this issue he replied " Well a Church has to be taught and ready for something like that. When asked about sharing the Gospel to the surrounding community and inviting them to church the same response was given. And in each case these little churches died out anyway. I often wonder if he had done what the Bible says instead of fearing the loss of the pulpit if these churches would have flourished.
I missed the part where God removed 2 offices or reduced the offices of the Church to three. Other than that, I'm in agreement with pastor Paul on this matter.
No, he did not - he built the foundation of the Church on them, Christ being the cornerstone. And after He did that He has been building further through evangelists, pastors and teachers. You do not lay the foundation over and over again - you lay it once and then you build on it. Much of the chaos that is in the Church today has been caused by those who believe that apostles and prophets are still around.
@@marekchrenko5601 That is the common cessationist thought, but you won't find that in the Bible. I agree that there is a ton of heresy because of a bunch of self-appointed prophets and apostles, but that does not make those offices void. Let every man be a liar and God be true. It is simple at that.
@@BloodCovenant There are things in the Bible that point to it directly. You do realize that continuation of biblical apostles and prophets means there are still people today who receive revelation from God on the level of Scripture? And if it is so, we should all follow those people, because we cannot trust the Bible as the one and only source of complete revelation of God? This claim has been behind every single deviation from the biblical teaching in history - it is the claim Roman Catholics make, it is the claim JWs make, it is the claim Mormons make, it is the claim Muslims make etc. etc. No, apostles and prophets are the foundation, their word is sure and it is contained in the Bible (2Pet 1:16-21).
Amén. There's also a ton of heresy that comes about through pastors and teachers and no one suggests those offices are invalid because of it. Also that passage says that Christ is the cornerstone, i.e. part of the foundation, so if the apostles and prophets have gone away we can conclude that so has Jesus!
The greatest threat is reality and access to reliable methods for understanding reality.
We're all 'the church' and just as pastors, we're all directed to love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. Perhaps not following this command is the greatest threat?

Well, that's obvious answer. But in different contexts and different times, the sin of not loving God with all your heart takes different expressions. Since we can't see the hearts of men, we must deal with, analyze, and correct their behavior, which only tells on their heart.

Ephesians 4:11 he(Jesus) gave apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, and evangelist to equip the saints for the work of the ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ until we attain the unity of faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood. I believe the church is still on the Earth and the church needs all 5 gifts so the body may be mature and not lacking in any area. God Bless!
The biggest threat I see is that the true gospel is not preached in many many churches. You cannot be discipled if you aren't saved. Many well known preachers do not teach the true gospel
What is the true gospel?
@@eltonron1558 Read all of John 3 . This explains clearly how to be saved
@@kimwestwood8840 I asked for the true gospel, not a teaching about being ssved.
@@eltonron1558 John 3 is not about BEING saved. It is an explanation of HOW to be saved. The gospel is repent and believe on Jesus. What did Paul tell the jailer when he was asked how to be saved in Acts 16? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ ...
@@kimwestwood8840 Small problem. The gospel is not about Christ, nor how to get saved. The gospel, can only be ACCORDING to Christ. The author of the gospel, declared the gospel, and even called it the gospel. It's not your fault, the TEACHING of salvation, is constantly being called the gospel. You were raised that way, or decieved by corrupt clergy. You have a bible. Start believing your own savior, for a radical, truthful change.
Matthew 24:14
Mark 1:14-15
Acts 28:31
There is plenty of salvation teaching, in the bible, including from Christ, however, only Christ says what the gospel is. I'm not in the habit of telling someone to quit believing another gospel, not from Christ.
He’s right, in that its generally true that a church is a picture of its pastor(s), both the good and the bad. its because we reap what we sow. Its true that one plants, another waters, but God provides the growth - the world is not on the pastor’s shoulders, lest he think himself indispensable to God. However, what is grown will always be representative of what was sown. Anecdotally, for instance, the church I serve definitely has the composite characteristics of its leadership both in our strengths and in our shortcomings.
No dear sir, God has given 5 offices...
Ephesians 4:11-13 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; [12] For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: [13] Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
I don't like to go to church anymore, because the modern church glorifies only Successful (rich) people, if you're someone who hasn't reached that peak, then you will be considered a sinner in need of repentance to be blessed. Even though I was tithing, there are pastors who have said that difficulty in financial problems are due to people not tithing, this was totally not the case with me.
Wow! You nailed it Paul ✔✔✔✔✔✔!!!!
Excellent response by Paul Washer.
The call to be a pastor is definitely NOT for just anyone! Just give me a pastor who loves God supremely and hates his sins utterly!!! Not many exist, for sure!!!
I fear that many will take this good statement as a justification for general pastor bashing without differentiating.
I am very grateful for the time and effort that many pastors I know put in leading their churches into the word and into mission.
In fact I have seen churches that are so caught up in their own business that they just came to consume rather than investing themselves into the same cause, side by side with the pastor.
Having said that I don't want to diminish what Paul said. Just wanted to put it in perspective.
The greatest threat to the church at the present time is people claiming to represent the Lord when he has nothing to do with it.
Especially the Sunday keepers.
@@eltonron1558 ~ Yeah, especially them.
While I agree that there is more than one office (or primary leadership role), I must agree more with Scripture in Ephesians 4:11-12: "11 And [His gifts to the church were varied and] He Himself appointed some as apostles [special messengers, representatives], some as prophets [who speak a new message from God to the people], some as evangelists [who spread the good news of salvation], and some as pastors and teachers [to shepherd and guide and instruct], 12 [and He did this] to fully equip and perfect the saints (God’s people) for works of service, to build up the body of Christ [the church]." I met someone who is both a prophet and an apostle, seen their upright life. Thus I know that all 5 ministry offices are still real and active today. We just don't find many local bodies of believers that have all of them. Sadly, this causes many problems, some of which are described in the video.
The biggest problem being, spoon fed ordained seminary graduates, spoon feeding the heresy of Sunday keeping.
Not a lack of knowledge, rather a failure to effectively communicate that knowledge with zeal and authority. A form of unbelief.
Any church that did not stay open and fight this lockdown is suspect. How can we worry about getting sick in God's Temple? Our ROCOR Church kept going with no kowtowing to 'Herod'. When did the church ever close, during the plague of Justinian? During the 1918 flu? When He returns, will he find FAITH on the earth?
Love to all in our King and God Jesus, His Holy Father, and the Holy Spirit!
💯💯
Nothing. There is no threat to the true followers of Christ. To live is Christ, to die is gain. For I am yours and you are Mine. The only possible threat we have is satan and our sins, but both are already defeated. He said I'll lead you, if you trust in Me. Just stay strong and finish the race.🙏
Ephesians 4:11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the [e]edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.
Sadly very true!! Weak men lacking a fear and reverence of almighty God!
Teaching and preaching need to be taken very very seriously because it is His word we are teaching. No one has perfect theology but we should strive our best to rightly handle His word of truth and pray to Him that we would do so.
I pray that Sunday keepers, and graven image users, would read their bibles, and embrace it over church, and ordained seminary graduates.
Wow. Thank you for posting this.
the reason pastors aren’t biblical isn’t a matter of knowledge, it’s a matter of knowing God personally. i get what he’s saying but he packaged it incorrectly
Bitter truth to church
That's just goes to show, that even false prophets say the right words.
Man towards the end there wow that got me so much wisdom
This answer is why I love listening to Paul Washer.
"The average scenario in North America with regard to churches, by and large, the churches are democracies, and I don’t want to get into the ifs or pros or cons of that. But here’s what happens: Because the preaching of the gospel is so low, the majority in the churches are carnal, lost people. And because it is a democracy, they, by and large, govern the direction of the church. And because the pastor doesn’t want to lose the great number of people, and because he has wrong ideas regarding evangelism and true conversion, he caters to the wicked in his church. And this little group of true sheep that belong to Jesus Christ are sitting there, in the midst of all the theater, in the midst of all the worldliness, in the midst of all the multimedia going, we just want to worship Jesus; and we just want someone to teach us the bible and pastors are going to pay for that."- Paul Washer.
Amen Brother Paul!
I agree with most of what you say. But, “God gave 3” to the church? You might want to read Eph. 4:11 again.
You should include the verse here.
11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers. Eph 4:11. It is odd he left two out. I wonder if he is a cessationist, which would go along with being a Calvanist.
@@MamaShaw17111 Calvinists are an abomination, however, so are ordained seminary graduates, that are spoon fed, and spoon feed the heresy of Sunday keeping. Revelation 12:17,14:12
Which why, in those letters in the book of Revelation, the letters are addressed to the PASTORS of the church.
God bless you.
If God be for us, who can be against us. There is no threat to the Church. Greater is He in us than he in the world. Who cares about all the numerous religious organizations that masquerade as the church. The Body of Christ has no equal and no threat that has no already been defeated. The greatest threat to man made organizations that present themselves as the church, is TRUTH.
Those that get to the judgement seat of Christ and say Lord Lord we did this and that in your name and he says depart from me I never knew you. I believe this is the reason why, there are those that use God for what they want. I do like What Judas was trying to do, Jonah was eventually someone will be then to the word of God but if he had his way God would have destroyed Nineveh. We can either use God use his grace use his sacrifice use his blood to continue to live a life for us for our flesh. Or we can truly be converted and submit and surrender our life to God and say You Are My Savior you are my Lord I give my life to me used by you.
I think just like us, pastors want to conform to the standards that appeal to the world. We lack courage to call sins sins. We can't even tell a sister or a brother when their dress code might be a stumbling block for others. All of us have failed
We can’t even say the simple sentence, “Don’t be afraid. We must trust God.” Who said Christians will not go through trials. Look at all the 11 disciples went through suffering and prosecution before their death. Jesus kept saying to the prophets to teach what is written and don’t hide anything. Stop being so afraid and teach to congregation this….😰😰🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🤣🤣🙏🏽 Where is the trust, faith, don’t be afraid in this trials we are facing now….Well said Pastor Paul….love his preaching….👍👍👍❤️❤️🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽Pray for all our pastors.
I'm not afraid to declare, that ordained seminary graduates, are spoon fed, and spoon feed the heresy of Sunday keeping, without biblical authority.

Most pastors can’t preach the word of God, the apostle Paul said to Timothy to study and well divide the scriptures, most pastors don’t well divide the scriptures

"The Christian is called, not to individualism but to membership in the mystical Body. A consideration of the differences between the secular collective and the mystical Body is therefore the first step to understanding how Christianity without being individualistic can yet counteract collectivism."[C S Lewis]
So right.
Can someone put up a link to the entire Q&A? I want to watch. Thanks.
So we never uploaded the full Q&A from that year as one video, but just put up each section individually. Here is the playlist for that years conference: ruclips.net/video/pbOzYh9n4OA/видео.html
Just fantastic!

Washer is always critical.
It would be nice if Paul Washer spoke in a way that's consistent with his theology. Blaming pastors is fine and I agree with much of what he says but according to his theology, all of this was exhaustively determined by God to happen according to His eternal decree.
Ace Thommygun: If you want to learn more about how theologians explain all the distinctions involved between things like God’s dispositional will, permissive will and decretive will, RC Sproul has loads of free videos on RUclips will will help you to understand better how very deep this issue is. Most of us have not been able to delve into church history enough to plumb the depths of how much doctrine scripture has to offer us, and why we shouldn’t rush to judgment until we’ve heard the input of the balanced people on both sides of an issue. Many times we’re adhering to men’s traditions because we haven’t challenged ourselves to determine if we are maintaining a position without having done proper hermeneutics. I speak from experience having done the same often in my life.
@@brianmgrim Thank you for the reply, I do appreciate it. The problem with revealed will, secret will, etc., is that these concepts are absent from the Bible and they portray God as someone who suffers from a split personality.
He’s 100% right.
Amazing wisdom 👏
