You did a great job! Best grooming video I’ve seen so far… I have a 5 month old Schnauzer that I’m getting ready to groom so I have watched a lot. Thanks for your help!
Good that you were concerned about his first experience. I love mini schnauzers. If they associate something bad with something, that’s it, they never forget. My Jonny was like this, and there was NO talking him out of it. I miss him. Extremely wonderful breed!!!!
I love that you're calm you are with him and how you explain everything very well. I will be bringing home my own little Schnauzer, and your video and explanations will help me immensely. Thank you
SO helpful, I admire your patients, I have a new Schnoodle, she is now 3 months old. The breeder works with her puppies, so she is pretty good on the table so far. The breeder ( Cathy Grandstaff, Windy Hill Kennel of Ohio ) gave her a Schnauzer cut, on my request, OMG she looked so cute, I cried when I saw her. I have scooped out her eyes, and cleaned up her sanitary area, but tomorrow is her full cut. So I will watch your video again. Thank You so much. It is wonderful for people like you to share your experience with the rest of us.
We just rescued a 10 year old miniature schnauzer, so I have been watching everything schnauzer I can find. I loved your video and your puppy’s grooming turned out so cute! 🐶💗
Thanks! You're a very good teacher and this video is very helpful. I love the kindness you show this baby making sure his first experience is a good one. I'm with you on the blending, the #7, the skirt, and the not plucking ears. He looks great! I 've done my own dogs for over 40 years, but I'd feel very confident hiring you. :)
I really enjoyed the video. It’s cool to see how in touch you are with the pup and his age. Being sure not to spook him or be overly aggressive. Great job!
You are amazing and so, so gentle. That is an awesome guy you are working on too. He is so still and not fighting or fearful. Please put the names of the shampoo and other products you use in your information section. I'm so glad you made this and am subscribing to your videos.
Loved your video, he looked so much like our mini schnauzer Toby. He passed this last June, he was with us for 13 years. We miss him so much, maybe one day we will get another one.
We just got a mini schnauzer puppy, she's nine weeks old and so cute. I hope I'll find someone as patient and skilled as you when it comes time for her first grooming.
I've got a 3 and half yr old. We both are getting better during groom time. I wish I had the patience you have. I'm getting a new pup in February I think I'll do better with him. lol You are so patient with the pup.
Nice to watch a professional work. I've been trimming my 13 yo schnauzer since she was a pup and we just got a new schnauzer pup who is now 11 weeks. Hope I didn't wait too long getting her used to the clippers, she's more feisty than our older dog. It's a little cold to give her a full clip but I was going to do a little something to get her used to the clippers. Oh and I have clipper envy!! Thanks for the video!
I wish you were near where we live. I have a 11 week old mini schnauzer that has never been groomed I hav3 an appointment nex5 week for him to get groomed. You really take care of them.
He is such a good boy! Nice groom. We have two standard schnauzers. They are ten now. I have been grooming them for a year. They look terrible!! Compared to the professional cuts they have always had. So I’m watching more videos! Thanks for talking about shampoos and tools! I ordered that shampoo. I have always used Orvus on our animals. I love it . Really conditions and brightens their coat. But I’m up for something new. Thanks again.
What a beautiful video we have a 6 month schnauzer that still has baby coat you have given me inspiration to get adult grooming from Australia many thanks
We lost our 10yr old Schnauzer Katie last November. I groomed her at home the last few years because she had several bad experiences at two different groomers. She was a feisty little thing when grooming, her feet were the worst, but we got it done. We miss her so. I still love watching grooming videos and how others handle things.
I get my little girl next month(March) I’m so excited!!! I’ve been watching Miniature Schnauzer video nonstop! You are very talented at dog grooming he looked like another dog at the end
You did a great job! We have a 6 month old mini Schnauzer, Goji. He was born with Congenital Myotonia - we adopted him! He has his first grooming appointment next week. Excited to see his transformation…
Very nice video. We get our mini schnauzer professionally groomed, but I also bought a grooming table and I keep him trimmed in between times. Great job.
Not afraid to get in with that shaver, right? It's either summer, or because of matting. Really short. There was a Pet Co in Ankeny, IA, and this little Shi Tzu was buzz shaved practically down to the skin. The hair was already shaved down when it got started. I asked about it, and they said the owner took it in every few weeks. Poor little think cried the whole time. It was a little Shi Tzu. And it was winter there. Just wanted to hold her and comfort her. Wonder if she was even ever loved.
I have a new mini who is 14 wks. old. He is very vocal and constantly trying to play with his 10 1/2 yr. old brother. I have been grooming in a very amateur way for all these years and am getting ready to do that "first grooming " on Archie. Your video is perfect for me and I so appreciate your telling me which blades you are using. Thanks so much.
You may have thought it amateurish. Best I've seen- you "show" hpw to do it and don't get in the way of the actual clipping! I've a very reactive hyper schnauzer of 10 months. We at home try to groom him as the professional groomers can't/dont want to and we've wasted money on two partial groomings but paid full price! ... so Sunny is a "one-of-a-kind" looking schnauzer. I wish you lived near me!!! Surprise, Arizona. Thanks for sharing!!
You did an amazing job. I usually take my schnauzer to a grooming service but finances have dried up. I did it myself this time. He was not happy and he seems embarrassed by what I did. I clipped him right down. Watching you today helped me where I screwed up but amazingly I actually was trimming him the same way . My thinning sheers aren't curved but they work good. For the head I made a mistake I went to short on top so I blended as best j could. The feet well he's not happy same with his butt...omg ..so I waited a day and went back in. My question is his back and sides have Twistys that don't like being cut and they are sticking out do you have any suggestions
How hard are you pushing when using the clippers? My puppy experienced being choked at the groomer I took him to. So I am trying to learn how to groom him because he is my life. I would never ever hurt any animals at all. I have standard poodles, tea cups and my Jeb. I never imagined this would happen to him.
I'm so sorry this happened to you. Just awful. If your blades are sharp, there should be no need to press hard. Always go with the grain of the coat when clipping, you can also hold the blade at a slight angle. Also, back brush to lift any loose hairs and repeat clipping until it's a smooth cut.
being an old school groomer we never learned to use thinning shears for anything but chopping out mats. I'm still not sure I'm the greatest with them. Jodi Murphy has a pretty good thinning shear video on youtube.
Will he lose most all of his black color after several shave downs and become predomanitely a silver color? This is what happened to my mini from shaving him vs hand stripping. I missed his black somewhat even tho i still loved his silver color also.
the flying pig dryer I use is adjustable and can be turned way down. If a dog is super fussy about it I will put in a crate under a fan, but you won't get the same fluffy coat result
That clipper is so quiet. Which brand is it please. I’ve been grooming my two schnauzers for 14 yrs now. My second one has always been not so much fun to groom. Tooooo much hair IN her ears. Very difficult to clean them. Tail area I have to scissor because if I clip she becomes irritated and bothered for a week.
The clippers are Oster Volt Lithium-Ion Clippers. And I totally understand, both those things ( ears and under tail) can be challenges for even an experienced groomer. I have a few I just have to scissor the backside, and as far as the ears lots of ear powder and plucking before bath can help, but some just aren't having it
@@groomerkt1839 thank you for the info. I think Tally is far beyond the powder. She hates hair pulled from ears. This last clip I was able to get into the ears with my clipper. The hair was short enough. Still having a hard time with rear end and scissors, but got most of it. This one time I used a 30 blade for back and sides. We were going for a trip to the country and with ticks at an all time high, I felt that it least the major part of her body really short for now is good.
this was not his first Haircut. Maybe your first time grooming him. But it is definitely NOT his first groom..... I see the shave (skirt) line and the Eye brow line before you started...
I so appreciate your patient and soft approach. Thank you for showing a kinder way with great grooming skills.
You did a great job! Best grooming video I’ve seen so far… I have a 5 month old Schnauzer that I’m getting ready to groom so I have watched a lot. Thanks for your help!
What a lovely gentle way you have with this darling pup. He looks very handsome. Bravo.

God bless you for adopting a senior dog. You made a wonderful choice they are great dogs! I lost mine at the age of 17. His name is Freddy.
In case you wanted to watch another schnauzer grooming video, here’s one I just posted!

You have to pluck the hair out of the ears to prevent infection. Shaving doesn’t get the hair deep down inside!!
I really enjoyed the video. It’s cool to see how in touch you are with the pup and his age. Being sure not to spook him or be overly aggressive. Great job!
That schnauzer is so so cute!

He looks just like my little boy, minus the tail. Cutie! Thanks for the tips
Loved your video, he looked so much like our mini schnauzer Toby. He passed this last June, he was with us for 13 years. We miss him so much, maybe one day we will get another one.
For some reason this was very enjoyable to watch
We just got a mini schnauzer puppy, she's nine weeks old and so cute. I hope I'll find someone as patient and skilled as you when it comes time for her first grooming.
What a great job I just love the schnauzers What a cutie

This is the most precious little puppy. Thank you for sharing. It's our favorite breed too.
In my opinion you did fantastic, for a first video, hope you have more!

very helpful thanks, just wanted to know how to do a neat tidy trim without getting fancy- this was perfect...about to get a schnauzer pup.

Beautiful cut and very caring for the dog
아직 얘기 슈나이져.
너무 귀여워요~
What a beautiful video we have a 6 month schnauzer that still has baby coat you have given me inspiration to get adult grooming from Australia many thanks
Beautiful! Lights in the salon have been always an issue for me. What do you use? It's a good idea to show your bathtub setup!🙏💖🙏

Nice job.
Duke looks exactly like miniature schnauzer chihuahua that lived 14 years passed away 2 weeks ago.
What a good boy!
Really enjoyed the show
Very nice video. We get our mini schnauzer professionally groomed, but I also bought a grooming table and I keep him trimmed in between times. Great job.

Wonderful job! I really enjoyed your video. I will definitely watch more from you.
So cute!
Love love this video! What a good puppy! You make it look easy and I know it’s not!
Thank you!! He was an amazing puppy. 😍
Awesome!!!
What a good boy! 💕
Thank you so much ❤

I loved this! Thank you. Great video. Which Oster clippers are those?
Oster Volt Lithium Ion
Great job.. how about a giant Schnoodle with a Schnauzer beard
Nice
Very good
Very good video. Have 2 mini schnauzers, adult male, 13 week female. Do you have links to the equipment you used in video? Thanks so much
Expertly done.

Hey : ) where did you buy your supplies, shears, etc ?
You did an amazing job. I usually take my schnauzer to a grooming service but finances have dried up. I did it myself this time. He was not happy and he seems embarrassed by what I did. Try using a brush in reverse to vacuum brush and lift the hair and repeat the clipper work

Great video. Learned a lot. Curious how to use the thinning shears correctly.
being an old school groomer we never learned to use thinning shears for anything but chopping out mats. I'm still not sure I'm the greatest with them. Jodi Murphy has a pretty good thinning shear video on youtube.
Is a long blade the plastic guard?
Thank you !
My mummy getting one
Where are you located? You do a wonderful job and have such a warm, caring vibe.
Thank You. Very kind.. I'd prefer to keep my location disclosed.
This was very helpful. Thanks so much. Love my Schnauzers. ❤️🤪❤️
Will he lose most all of his black color after several shave downs and become predomanitely a silver color? This is what happened to my mini from shaving him vs hand stripping. I missed his black somewhat even tho i still loved his silver color also.
Are there any hair dryers that are quiet?
the flying pig dryer I use is adjustable and can be turned way down. If a dog is super fussy about it I will put in a crate under a fan, but you won't get the same fluffy coat result

I wish you were available to groom my new baby boy 🐶
Very sweet. Thank You. I love schnauzers. 💘
Do you have t let cutting blade cool at all?
Sometimes, yes. I have multiple blades I switch out.
Great vídeo !!
Where did You get your apron ?? I got mi ne as a present and l can't find them
Thank You 😁
Thank You!! It's a ladybird line apron. 🙂
Could share brand of shaver, it’s so quiet, thanks.
I haven’t tried yet I need shaver, again thanks.
Oster Lithium Ion Cordless, but I did remove the background sound so I could talk over.
Schnauzer hair cut
Hi, have you ever run across a schnauzer with come done dandruff? If so what do you wash a schnauzer with that has this problem? Thanks ahead of time!
Schnauzer comedo syndrome...try a benzoyl peroxide shampoo to clean the pores
Thank you for the video! You mentioned you bought the brush you like on Amazon. Can you tell me which one it is?
AtEase Bamboo Slicker Brush
Why did she just start out shaving the hair way down ??? Brush, bathe, then STYLE ....!
Hi
this was not his first Haircut. Maybe your first time grooming him. But it is definitely
NOT his first groom..... I see the shave (skirt) line and the Eye brow line before you started...
to far away , no instructions on doing the beard and eye brows
Thank you for the feedback. I know I can improve some things. I'm new making RUclips videos, but gotta start somewhere
Sorry don't agree with clipping
Why on earth clipping. Bad 👎
