My brother would listen to Nujabes years ago late at night, just chilling at his desk with his sunglasses on. I remember this song specifically. He passed away this year at 35. This song makes me think of him. I had this song played at his funeral. Now I have such a hard time listening to it but I love it like I love him. Rest in paradise Cody Jo 🕊️
I first listened to this song in 2007, when it was used on RUclips as the background music to a video where some guy explored cell phone stores in Japan. Since then, I've had this song on my rotation and it's one of the few absolute continuities in my life. I was of course devastated when it happened but I still consider myself lucky to have been at the Nujabes Memorial Event in 2015 (Shibuya Liquidroom), where this song was performed live by Cise Starr. Seriously one of the greatest moments of my life.

@@kwa_nguyen The event was called Eternal Soul and featured many artists that collaborated with Nujabes during his lifetime, among them: Cise Starr, Funky DL, Pase Rock, Shing02 and Substantial. They performed many of the classics and I have nothing but fond memories of that night (although drinks were fucking expensive, lol).
