@Lance Beamon, Your country has built the largest embassy in Africa in this supposed imploded country, must be a good reason for that. Say one thing and do the opposite. Something is not quite connecting.
Its true... but one thing they do not realize is that Zimbabwe has had cushions... it shares a border with South Africa, which ultimately had to give up the visa policy against Zimbabweans because it ddnt make sense to clog their system with a neighboring coutry's applications. Also we have a big diaspora within the commonwealth of nations. Being surrounded by economically stable countries makes it bearable to stay in Zim while trading/working across the region... e.g. A rough estimate says at least 40% of cross-boarder truck drivers in Southern Africa are Zimbabwean. On infrastructure.... we were kinda ahead of many african countries around 2000, and most of it has been frozen in time and still looks good.
The cities are so similar its crazy i have visited both Harare and Nairobi, they are both beautiful but year i do agree nairobi is more conjested and harare has wider streets and probably more newer buildings but it just feels like these cities are twins for real especially when you actually visit them.

True story. I grew up with many South Africans in Zim back in the 90s both black & white. It’s our duty as Africans to tell our own story & lift each other up.
In the 80s Zim was everything. I'm not even Zimbabwean but I lived there for 5 years as a child when my dad worked at the Uni of Zim. Zimbabwe was the breadbasket of Africa and I hope that one day Zimbabwe will return to what it used to be.
Spare us this ''bread basket of Africa'' white propaganda. Zimbabwe was NEVER a ''bread basket'' of East Africa, never mind 'Africa'. She mostly grew cash crops like tobacco and coffee for export and the proceeds were enjoyed by the minority white landowners. The black peasants were always hungry and poor, and there was no damn bread basket.
@@african-history-fountain Zimbabwe and also South Africa was a huge bread basket for Africa!!!!! They had a awesome agricultural!!! Matter of fact agriculture was 60 percent of the economy. Nice one. On my first visit to Harare I was so surprised to find such a beautiful modern city. It actually reminded me of Joburg the architecture especially in the city However the suburbs look like Kenyan suburbs Muthaiga Karen with very lush green and nice houses. The one thing that I also enjoyed was that Zimbabweans are also very highly educated and they have beautiful music from the popula unfortunately late Oliver Mtukudzi

There is no sugar coating the economy of Zim. The situation is bad. The people of Zimbabwe are largely reliant on the South African economy. There seems to be no political will to get the economy of Zimbabwe from the darkness.
I am impressed. What we hear is 'Zimbabwe is a very backward and life is bad'. The west paint Zimbabwe to be useless but from this video ZImbabwe is beautiful. I wish I could visit this beautiful country.
You know what, a lot of people believe the same because CNN, BBC told them so. I once visited a certain country in the Eastern part of the African continent (I wont mention the country by name here) and the people there told me how backward Zimbabwe was. There were my hosts so I couldn't tell them that their capital city was not even as organised and developed as our third city Gweru. They seemed to derive a lot of pleasure in their misinformed beliefs so I did want to spoil their joy. I told them when people are talking about how bad things had become in Zim, Zim was being measured by its higher standards of the 90's, and not compared to other countries. The level of development in Zim , I told them were still higher than those in most in other parts of the world, even when the situation was at its worst around 2008.
@@Mo-yd8xc I pray that I get the chance to visit Zimbabwe. It has been an eye opener. Africa is beautiful though the western powers paint Africa as backward, full of robbers. No peace. I understand what you're saying, but they are still Zulus because Mzilikazi was Zulu. It's just like the Zulu spoken in KZN and the one in Johannesburg it's also kinda of different because of Geographical areas and the fact that they have taken in Sotho and Pedi words because they are surrounded by those tribes , but at the end of the day they are Zulus. Same applies to Zim Ndebeles they are just Zulus because when they left KZN they were Zulus so they are still Zulus even now

Ghana & Nigeria, India & Pakistan, China & South Korea etc. Such tensions exists but you need to go very deep to understand where the fights stem from.
At the same breath, South Africans and Zimbabweans are brothers and sisters more than they are enemies. This is what people rarely talk about on social media.
Zimbabwe: 1) Safe, low crime rate. The only "serious" crime is petty theft, no violent crime like South Africa. 2) Friendly, generous, kind, nice and hospitable people. 3) Educated people who are always keen to learn more. 4) Very reserved and polite people. Having good manners and being polite is everything for Zimbabweans. 5) Socially conservative people, like most Africans. 6) They love their schools (both state and private schools) and are revered like sacred spaces. Like in most of Africa, it's a country where it's considered cool to be educated and clever, unlike in countries like the USA or UK where smart kids are bullied or even killed by other children for loving books. 7) Lots of street corner booksellers where you can find rare and precious out of print books, including lots of first edition copies. 8) Unmatched natural beauty which has been perfectly preserved... That's Zimbabwe 🇿🇼

There is a massive road reconstruction program currently taking place countrywide...if they do the Harare to Bulawayo road trip you will see a glimpse of that

We are told here in the U.S. that Zimbabwe is a nation that has imploded financially speaking. It's nice to see that is not the case. Whatever you decide to show us from your travels in Zimbabwe is fine with me.
@Lance Beamon, Your country has built the largest embassy in Africa in this supposed imploded country, must be a good reason for that. Say one thing and do the opposite. Something is not quite connecting.
🙏🏾
Its true... but one thing they do not realize is that Zimbabwe has had cushions... it shares a border with South Africa, which ultimately had to give up the visa policy against Zimbabweans because it ddnt make sense to clog their system with a neighboring coutry's applications.
Lance 90% of its citizens are unemployed so please show some empathy towards the unfortunate
@@africanadage852 So true. One wonders why america built the biggest USA embassy in Africa in our country

Harare looks like a Nairobi twin city! Although Harare has wider avenues and it's less congested unlike my mad-hustle-bustle Nairobi🇰🇪🤝🇿🇼

The cities are so similar its crazy i have visited both Harare and Nairobi, they are both beautiful but year i do agree nairobi is more conjested and harare has wider streets and probably more newer buildings but it just feels like these cities are twins for real especially when you actually visit them.
I wish one day hopefully Liberia becomes this God willing that said congratulations to you Zimbabwe you are more develope than we thought congratulations and God bless Dr Arikanna thanks sister
Zimbabwe is one of the countries in Africa that i like. Love from Indonesia! 🇮🇩❤🇿🇼
The only thing I like about Zimbabwe is that u can't steal something from someone during the day like here in South Africa u can't use yur phone in some places.
But also in south Africa not all towns are like that don't generalise all south Africa towns be specific I love my country.
That is normal in countries with high disparities, it happens here in Nairobi also.
That building from 2000 it is so Beautiful. I am a South African and I can not believe Western Media made didn't show us the Beauty of Zimbabwe "Harare". Now seeing this city makes me believe that Zimbabwe it is indeed Beautiful. From me in South Africa 🇿🇦 to My Lovely Brothers and Sisters in Zimbabwe 🇿🇼... I love your Country.
True story. I grew up with many South Africans in Zim back in the 90s both black & white. It’s our duty as Africans to tell our own story & lift each other up.
Go move there
Small London
So why many fleeing Zimbabwe....over 200,000 WHITES HAVE LEFT...SUCH A SAFE AND WONDERFUL COUNTRY ISNT ...
It’s easier to showcase poverty so they can make money and label our people ignorant and needy.
In the 80s Zim was everything. I'm not even Zimbabwean but I lived there for 5 years as a child when my dad worked at the Uni of Zim. Zimbabwe was the breadbasket of Africa and I hope that one day Zimbabwe will return to what it used to be.
You ain’t getting Rhodesia back!
What made Zimbabwe the breadbasket was the management resources! We still have those resources we just need new leadership to manage it
Spare us this ''bread basket of Africa'' white propaganda.
@Element I agree, my comment is addressing the original poster, because that’s what he is covertly suggesting.
@@african-history-fountain Zimbabwe and also South Africa was a huge bread basket for Africa!!!!! They had a awesome agricultural!!! Matter of fact agriculture was 60 percent of the economy. Why would you say this white propaganda? Watching this video and the new government I’m happy to see Zimbabwe is improving.
Thanks my sister 4 showcasing Zimbabwe many will want to visit
A.T thanks showing us around.Zimbabweans are friendly people and humble.

Ask the struggling people of, Zimbabwe about the economy?? 🤷
Where do you get these fictitious figures? We are Zimbabweans and we know that our economy is in the negative right now.
That's a lie, Zimbabwe economy is bad. a country with no currency

You haven't seen anything yet. Zimbabwe is very diverse and beautiful
The people IN Zim paint life as bad. You can visit. What is stopping you?
@@Mo-yd8xc I pray that I get the chance to visit Zimbabwe. It has been an eye opener. Africa is beautiful though the western powers paint Africa as backward, full of robbers. No peace. One cannot travel alone etc etc. Africa is beautiful. Zimbabwe is totally different from what the wazungu say.

The other thing I liked about Zim is that they speak S.A national languages as well for example Xhosa, Sotho, Zulu (but they call it Ndebele in Zim), Tswana, Venda, Tsonga and English.
80%of South African languages are also spoken in Zim🇿🇦❤🇿🇼
You are absolutely right bro ,I’m Ndebele and I can understand Zulu,Xhosa and Swati
Point of correction. We share some languages as opposed to speaking SA languages, remember the people were spread out over the region. Ndebele or specifically northern ndebele is as branch of zulu. Google mfecane if you want to know why
Thus because Zim Ndebele are Zulu by origin and you're part of the Zulu kingdom on the other side of the border
@@quintonkhumalo3239 Its not an extension of the zulu Kingdom per say. They didnt break out to form a zulu branch in Zimbabwe. Same origins, culture and traditions but different tribe due to changes that happened over time. It is over a hundred years ago

Neat, very clean, very well organized. Notice how wide and well done the walkways, sidewalks, plazas & roads are. Zimbabwe infrastructure looks to be accessible for people with disabilities and that's a big deal. It shows thoughtfulness and good engineering.
They only showed a very small area. Have you been there?
Erica, that’s right. Was in Harare for a few months. I was quite impressed. Lovely city and well planned and clean on the whole. Like every big city there’s always aspects and parts that need improvement.

@@derrickmutuma7185 yes, there is a lot of tension between South Africans and Zimbabweans. I'm South African by the way. The tension is social and political. It won't be easy to understand when you are not a South African or a Zimbabweans but this kind of neighbour fights are common all over world. E. g.
Zimbabwe:
1) Safe, low crime rate.
