I purchased this in 2020 after having a Beatpad for 2 years. I use it as a Mobile DJ and I’d make your eyes water with the amount of money I’ve made…. I’m a self taught DJ so don’t proclaim to be Fatboy Slim but this controller has been INCREDIBLE! I was waiting for the Mixon 8 but… looonnngg… so I bought another Mixon 4 and im back out killing crowds…
That's a good review. You touched upon the other softwares. The good and bad of the other softwares. The limitations of the other softwares with this device. What's missing with the device. Your opinion on this device. This is what I'm talking about right here. Fuck that great review. Keep up the great work. Peace
In my honest opinion you missed two of my main issues I had when reviewing this controller. First one beeing the weird placement of the loop rotary dial that gets in the way on (mainly) the left jog and the second being the supersmall rim on the jog that made me touch the top platter way more often than I intended trying to pitchbend. Still happy with my TM-8 though =)
Hi there. Nice review. How it works on 4 channel with Djay Pro app? there is any lags ? everything works smoothly? no slow down or later response when pressing buttons or using effects? Ive got new Ipad 2017 9.7 inch, is not too small? It will be good for operate four channels on 9.7 inch screen? Thank You, Kind Regards, Slaw.
i would agree with you on the no input thing that is a bit of a disappointment especially for mobile djs, i use my phone from time to time in an emergency or if they ask for a song that i dont have. but one alternative to that, is to get an aux cord from your phone and plug it into the mic jack, you could use 1/8 to 1/4 adapter if needed. then you could still use your phone via the mic jack.... that being said i am still using a mixdeck as my main unit because it also has the cd support, and every once and awhile someone will hand me a cd, but that is becoming more and more rare LOL. but i guess i would have to get a portable cd player and do the same connect it to the mic jack LOL
@@Mdnesseptx i have since moved to a numark ns6 ii. Not had any issues with ppl handing me cds of late 🤣. Ns6 ii does have aux for phone hook up. Also added a rolls 169 rack mixer to my mic setup so that also has bluetooth or a 3.5 mm jack on the front so problem solved on 2 fronts 🤣 .
Neither... If you want to do weddings and gigs, you need more microphone ports and a fail-safe system in place. Look at the MC7000 or MCX8000 from Denon for your wedding gigs...
Well this sort of answered my question. But I love the idea of having the ipad option. I'm torn between this and the mc7000. You say get the latter but ugh. I wanted you to say otherwise. Hmm. For most of my gigs I would use a laptop and these are mostly weddings. But I do some gigs where an ipad would be plenty I would love to have this machine for that. What to do? Hmm. Is this controller good enough?
It’s not a problem… save what’s on USB to Drop box…. (1TB = £10 a month) and load from DB straight into controller…. Plus Tidal and Soundcloud and Beatport… and you’re fully digital… ask my bank balance how god this set up is
Can anyone explain the main differences between the Mixon 4 and the Pioneer DDJ SX? Im using Djay Pro software and am looking for a new controller. Now that Djay by Algoriddim supports Pioneer controllers im stuck as to which is the best bang for the buck. Thanks in advance! Dustin

just FYI...i have used MIC input as an emergency Aux input for phone or other media output. Highs / Lows sound great

You can use Mic input as an Emergency AUX input...It works perfectly...ofcourse find yourself 1/8 jack to 1/4 jack...thats it.
lol i just read your whole comment! there ya go!

Hey bro what's up I was wondering can I use the Traktor Z2 mixer as the plu and play for Serato, or do I need to buy the Rane SL2?
