    The big thing is making sure you get the drainage pipe at the right angle to drain. Mine was an issue because of the wall we chose to install it on.

    I got the same 12k BTU and ran the line set in the wall using a Multidrain Position Rough-In Box to thread my line and drainage. Worked like a champ

    Thank you, it's hard to believe there are so many people out there that think solar is some kind of cult or fad .
    Videos like this that are straight forward help paint a better picture. I have been doing HVAC since the late 70's and installed an inverter mini split in the great room with solar panels about 15 years ago , there was no single source or kit available but it's the same basic package. I'm sure your system was less expensive then my purchase but I will take sunshine and batteries over the power company all day long. Good job!😊

    Crazy cool little camera! Guess I'm going to be getting a 9k unit. Not hybrid but power is coming from solar anyway. Less efficient but not the end of the world. Only controlling temp in a small 200sq ft building. The bugs I'm growing will generate most of the heat. It's the cooling that's more critical and providing much needed dehumidification. Shame they're only coughing up 50 bucks on the price tag between the 12k hybrid and 9k non-hybrid.

    I guarantee you, you will be opening that drywall at some point. We have 2 heat pump split systems and the condensation drains get backed up and filled with algae causing a water back up issue. Ours go right out the back of the unit and straight through the wall so as much as it is a pain to open up the plastic track for the lines to vacuum out, I could only imagine trying to clear the lines like the way you have them there. I would strongly reconsider that part of the install before you close everything up. I know it looks ugly going down the side of the house, but believe me you will be doing it at some point anyways. Good luck!

    • @jkepps
      @jkepps Год назад

      I wonder since it looked like they used PVC for part of the drain if they add a clean out port before they close up the walls, if that would make it easier to service.

    If the exposed copper lines in the wall are not sealed off from the air in the wall as they were initially, they will have condensation forming on the lines that will drip into the walls and cause a huge problem.

      @benkanobe7500 yea 10 is the minimum for panels I guess they're likely to break when they ship less. We got 14 in total, 6 for the 24k 4 for the 12k and 4 for another project.

    my 12k hybrid mini split is in and got the 390w Canadian solar panels locally. eg4 manual says to keep solar panels covered during installation to keep panels from generating electricity . how important is that?

    • @SmitHVAC.
      @SmitHVAC. 8 месяцев назад +1

      If your handling bare conductors it's pretty important. I wired mine from the unit, to the shutoff to the panels, and completed the connection in the middle of the array so I was only handling the MC4s

    • @kennethoh6928

      Eg4 does not make a multihead. You can do one per room or one in a central location. Helps to have a central system with fan circulating to bedrooms
