Just gotta say I really appreciate Evan’s story telling skills. The way he formats his documentary type videos are very entertaining and give good summarizations of the story.
yeah, the only thing I don't like is that he never mentions relationships like Wilbur being Fundy's dad, Phil being Wil's dad, Shlatt and Quackity being engaged, and so on. also, he doesn't talk about Ranboo much, but that's probably because his lore is a bit more separated from Tommy's and would really need it's own video. Plus, it's still currently ongoing, so how would you end a video about Ranboo's lore? But besides from that, he does do a REALLY good job of telling the story from Tommy's view. Once Ranboo joined the server, I watched everything from his POV, but I still watched Tommy alongside that. Tommy is definitely the *first* main character of the server lol
If you do want to watch the actual content, i. e. from the streams without going through thousands of hours of content, Blueberry TV has a really great series with both the more "filler" moments as well as the plot relevant ones. I definitely recommend checking out their content!
For some videos to watch from the dsmp this series summarizes them pretty well, after those tommys videos were he speaks to dreams sister are hilarious and then finally sad-ist's animations from the server, those are all good starting points
i'd REALLY recommend blueberry tv, they have long videos that show different perspectives of important events. it's obviously nothing close to experiencing the streams live, but they're a pretty good representation of some important events, especially the parts that come later on. and it's integral to the dream smp that you try your best to empathize with and understand characters, as NOBODY is purely in the right or the wrong. also, keep in mind that the minors- most plot-relevant being tommy, tubbo, and someone who comes later named ranboo- are all canonically their real ages.
I recommend not looking too much comments to avoid spoilers for the dream SMP. Also i recommend actually watching the actual videos of dream SMP from tommyinnit
If she will watch tommy then hope that she can hear swearing the whole video and i dont think that she is a type of girl who can hear swearing whole video
It’s so funny seeing the start of the disc war because it seems so stupid fighting over a disc but now it’s a full blown storyline like the discs are the reason behind all of Tommy’s storyline arcs and his friendship with Tubbo it’s crazy

What you just watched was barely scratching the surface. There are over half a dozen more wars after this (many relating to the discs) along with assassinations, exiles, betrayals, and so much more. You'll love it.
It would be awesome to see you watch the other arcs that come after this as well! The streams can be a mix of serious and funny. I would warn of a later arc though, which comes much later than the Disc Saga, because the lore in it does have implications of suicidal thoughts, abuse, and gaslighting. While those streams do have their funny moments, some of the lore content may be triggering. Just a heads up in case that may bother you!

man sometimes i forget just how far the DSMP has come... i actually haven't watched the original summary videos but these were really well put together and i'll have to go subscribe! almost cried watching this, ik it's just barely existed for a year but the waves of nostalgia i felt while watching this
the whole timeline is a lot. i havent even really caught myself up on everything yet but ive caught some streams here and there. something you might want to check out eventually are the animatics that the artists in the community create! one of the most popular creators is sad-ist, as some of the other comments have said. i like theirs because they condense the story into an epic movie trailer type of thing- there are a lot of silly things that happen on the smp, but it's cool to see the serious parts all together im not sure when exactly you should watch them (if you care about avoiding spoilers or want more context) but there are so many incredible dream smp animatics out there, it's my favorite thing to come from the server
This was great!! It's always so cool to see new people get excited to get into the Dream SMP XD I would HIGHLY recommend watching the Sadist animatics to get a sense of the story and 'plot' AFTER watching part 2 of EvanMCGaming ( I feel like you would just enjoy knowing getting the basic idea of what is happening since the animatics are multiple scenes) there are three I believe "Dream SMP War" - "The Fall" - and "Dawn of the 16th" (in that order) and they use actual voice clips from the streams and they are just fun cause they feel like a movie trailer. (there are just so many great artist and animators in the fanbase another I highly recommend is Late_August's he also has three main ones "Innocence" "Desolate" and "Resolve" his do not use voice clips so it is like more like a story with images - another reason why I recommended finishing part 2 first just to help a little bit since BOTH ANIMATORS START THE 'STORY' AFTER WILBUR JOINS) sorry for the longer comment

I really like your reaction but it will take you forever to even catch to where the smp is now like there were genuinely 6 wars or something like that 10-15 characters and some much story telling going on. And just to let you know after the disc war which you just watched everything would be a role play so just to let you know!
omg the smp lore, there's going to be a lot to take in, but you're definitely right, there is still so much that was left out of the video like the pet wars caused by sapnap . ALSO he forgot to mention a player "Callahan" he had joined the server along with sapnap, ponk and alyssa, however, he isn't involved with all the "minecraft drama". He is also selectively mute. If you really want to get into this "series" I'd suggest watching their videos because the plot definitely includes personal development and mental health, and etc. :)
My advice for watching the Dream SMP. Dont just stick with the Tomkyinnit archs. The SMP become very colorful with different perspectives, ideals and personalities. This summary channel is a solid story teller on breaking down what happens though 😁

You should look at the hermit craft community they make videos. It is a server that is really fun and cool to watch. You can't react to anything really from it. But they are still cool to check out to learn how big amd detailed you can build.
When you look at it in hindsight, everything that transpired after wasnt really Tommy's fault... tbh Sapnap chose war, and recruited Tommy... so Tommy was basically punished for "helping a friend." Like sure he was a nuisance at the beginning... but truly, he was the first person stolen from.. with things that meant a lot to him. If you look at it this was, you could kinda stand on Tommy's side... considering ppl think hes making a big deal over the disks in the future.
No wonder people think it's okay to steal and grief on SMP servers now. Dream's allowed it from Tommy, and whatever happens on Dream SMP is okay everywhere.

Do watch animatics if you get deep in this stuff.They are one of the biggest form of entertainment out of the smp.

You should look at the hermit craft community they make videos. It is a server that is really fun and cool to watch. You can't react to anything really from it. But they are still cool to check out to learn how big amd detailed you can build.
When you look at it in hindsight, everything that transpired after wasnt really Tommy's fault... tbh Sapnap chose war, and recruited Tommy... so Tommy was basically punished for "helping a friend." Like sure he was a nuisance at the beginning... but truly, he was the first person stolen from.. with things that meant a lot to him. If you look at it this was, you could kinda stand on Tommy's side... considering ppl think hes making a big deal over the disks in the future.
