What is great with the A Stomp is the processing power as it kills the FM3 and doesnt need scenes as it can change almost instantly from patch to patch .. Amazing value...
Haven't use an FM3 before and have the Ampero stomp and stage as I love the sound but need to say that what it actually lacks is processing power. DSP runs out very fast just using a good IR, delay and reverb, without mentioning the poor quality of the pitch effects. I am considering a Quad Cortex to replace those 2 but costs 4 times the price of a Stomp 😄😅😅

Yea HX Stomp would be benefitted with rotary encoders too! I wish we could get a pod go ccpro…pod go with stomp brain/connections… updated screen and encoders
I plan to use the Ampero II to supplement my fx and do some parallel routing of my stereo fx on my pedal board and replace my modulation. NuX modcore with programmable fx. I am curious if I can route my delays from my board and add additional delays in parallel together. I have been envisioning using this or add a device to route stereo fx like the Morningstar 10X loop controller.
Great ambient sounds! John pleaee check out the ping pong delay: on my unit it sounds unofortunately like the valeton gp200 one, cutting out bass frequencies and leaving a harsh tone. That one should really be part of a fw update, too.

Hey John amazing tips for the ampero stomp in your channel! I'm trying to use a roland EV5 expression pedal on this unit, i cant get it to work , any idea how to use the EV5 on ampero stomp as expression for delays and reverbs? thanks.
@@robpenny997 I have HELIX LT at home, really, really hard to have such a great ambiant tone which gives the stomp 2 out of the BOX. Only Analog delay (with empty parrallel in/out at each side) + Arena reverb in serial gives such a spacial tone.
Why I cant press some effects? some of them written with white color and active to use and some others are grey and kinda not available to press... why so?
Those are 2 different products target. MG30 is to compete with line6 PODgo, a simple all in 1 unit with its own exp pedal. and a linear mono effects chain. This Ampero stomp is to compete with HX Stomp, which you could use it as an all in 1. But it also function to be in a bigger pedalboard. and ampero stomp has parallel effects chain capability.

It’s a great piece of kit, super intuitive, built like a tank. I know the line 6 stomp DOES have quality shifting now as well as scenes and the ability to send PC midi to other pedals. BTW, what sexy strat is that? Sounds and looks unbelievable.

yeah I was quite surprised how fast the transitions are between patches.

I can see where Line6 can update the HX Stomp in the next release. The screen size is much better as well as the touch screen. Thankx.

Meaning you ran out of DSP. Stomp unfortunately lacks processing power to run too many effects at the same time.

Those are 2 different products target. MG30 is to compete with line6 PODgo, a simple all in 1 unit with its own exp pedal. and a linear mono effects chain. I suppose this combined with a Zoia would give the best of all worlds. The only thing missing is quality pitch shifting.
