That moment when Pepper told Tony that he can rest now, I felt that. Thanos has been Stark's cross ever since New York, he couldn't sleep, he had panic attacks, he made mistakes because of Thanos (Ultron), and now that Thanos is gone Pepper tells him he can finally rest is such a huge relief because I genuinely believe that Tony is carrying the whole world on his shoulders. Which proves that Tony Stark has a heart.
The ENTIRE Tony Stark story arc from beggining to end of the MCU was for him to attone for his sins. After making a life out of destruction and damage he spents the rest of it trying to protect the world and everyone on it; that's why he becomes Iron Man, that's why he creates all his armors, that's why he creates Ultron, that's why he accepts the Sokovia accords; yet he keeps failing over and over because new threats keep coming and coming. Pepper knew this better than everyone else, that's what makes that scene more powerful. She's telling him that he finally managed to make the world safe, and give everyone a chance to live a happy life; now he can finally rest in peace.
@@joshpart3319 fucking awesome to finally hear someone else bring up the atonement aspect. I always liked to imagine that a Tony stark that stayed an arms dealer and never became Iron man would've been similar to some of the villains encountered
@@josephnissenson3252 there's another video in this channel that talks about how Tony Stark was pretty much a villain at the beginning of the first movie and how he slowly but successfully went from that to the lovable jerk we all know
I also think black widows death helped make the situation where Captain America, Thor, and Iron man more intense. That is because this is the first time you see an Avenger die and they aren't a background character she is a part of the original Avenger line so the fear that Captain America, Thor, or Iron man can die at that moment is stronger cause an original Avenger already died.
@gerizzyYMcrew well she doesn't really get to do much in any of the movies, and we can't really see what her character is. Maybe not bad, but certainly weak
@gerizzyYMcrew Well what's the point of that movie if we already know how everything ends? It's hard to make a prequel that would not be useless. Star Wars prequels are good for example. You may not like the movies themselves, but from an aspect of telling how the whole galaxy ended up with an empire, how Anakin became Darth Vader, generally expanding on te worldbuilding, they are doing a pretty good job. But the Black Widow movie would probably be meaningless, just like the majority of the solo marvel movies.
Thund3rBird A Black Widow movie could easily set up new characters and factions that the future Avengers will have to face. Take Captain America for example, it introduced Hydra who took over Shield which led to it dismantling. It also introduced us to the Tesseract. That led to another Prequel that gave us Captain Marvel (eh) and the Skrulls.
Tony was going to die for living only for himself. Then someone else died for him to live. And then he ended up dying for everyone else to live. Well, except for the balls chin guy.
sebastian farias hahah yeah for me it would be 1. Tony’s death 2. Old cap 3. Probably yondu’s death, I mean it was a very good death, they made it very emotional
Lord-of-Rhodor i want scenes of him missing future technology without realizing it like just standing in the kitchen not thinking about it “Alexa what’s the weather like tomorrow?”
@@NinjaTyler Personally I'd love to see a scene of the Starks surprise coming over for dinner one day and Cap jumping through a window to avoid a little Tony.
I think the line "The Avengers go from the most broken and defeated they have ever been, to the most powerful and united they ever will be." sums up both this video and the greatness of Endgame pretty well.
I feel like Endgame's slow start works a whole lot better of you watch it directly after Infinity War. Infinity War is this jokey, high paced, action packed roller coaster and you still kinda have the feeling that everything's gonna work out and them SNAP half the universe is dead and that reality hits you like a ton of bricks. Then you get to stew in that feeling for an hour before things start to lighten up and then finally you get the greatest act 3 of all time
@@Charziken909 I mean watching the two in tandem as one 6-hour movie. Like, there's a way to edit the end of infinity war and the beginning of Endgame to make one seamless transition, and I think that would justify the slow start of Endgame a lot more. Obviously Tony is still stuck in space and cap is on Earth, but if you weave in the Captain Marvel end credits scene, that's how you link the two
I know what u mean. I'm talking about the part in IW where u said "u still kinda have a feeling that everything's gonna work out" I'm saying as soon as I saw there was no way for tony to make it back to earth or Steve to get to space, I knew it was over. Plus also these movies were titled part 1&2 at one point, so it was obvious that IW was gonna be a loss for them.
@@Charziken909 yeah but you still have the characters doing their normal jokey banter and then at the end when Thor gets his axe and goes to wakanda, every movie trope ever says that Thanos is 100% gonna die and Thor is the one who's gonna do it, even after he gets the stones. Obviously you knew going in that they were gonna lose, but the way they did it there was always that voice in the back of your head that the Avengers were still gonna win. Like, iron Man and hulk are making dick jokes, Thor is unironically naming people rabbit, tree, and morons, and Captain America is casually talking about Thor's new haircut and his new beard. There's NO WAY a movie with all this humor is gonna delete half the universe, right?
Watch Infinity War little stretch break Antman and the Wasp, and Captain Marvel midcredit stingers. Start Endgame... hit pause on the '5 years later' card. Take a 5 hour break... hit the gym, or do chores or anything non media consumption, especially NO MCU. Let that sink in. Then rest of Endgame.
Other movies this applies to( for me) 1-Alien 2-(John Carpenter's) The Thing 3-Jaws 4-Fight Club The movies are still good to rewatch, but nowhere near as great as the first time.
I disagree. I wish I could play RDR2 for the first time, but for Endgame I wish I could relive the hype. The movie itself I could watch forever but the hype at release I wish I could relive. Same for Infinity War. Even my non-comic book fan friends were ecstatic over IW, and somewhat Endgame.
For me the greatest moment is right before "Avengers, assemble", when Thanos' entire army gathers and Captain America stands up to them all on his own, ready to fight one last time.
Enzaio For me, it was even more meaningful and emotion-leaden. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adored the portals scene, but the depth of meaning this action made me see not a super-soldier ready to fight space monsters, but a boy from Brooklyn that will unwaveringly and steadfastly face against what he considers unjust. It kind of reminded me of the speech during the funeral scene in Winter Soldier. It was almost like he was reminded of Peggy's words: "Plant yourself like a tree and tell the world: No; you move"
I just have to say, When Sam said "On your left" I cried. I still cry when I see that but I cried when that happened. One of the most earned moments in comic book movie history.
It made me feel like that cinematic scene in *Halo Wars* where Cpt Carter is receiving very grainy feed from Harvest. With all hope seemingly lost and the covenant having overwhelmed the planet, the site of *Spartan 2s* rejuvenates his spirit to fight on.
You have to give props for Thanos too, didn't notice it when I first saw, but mad respect to him. When Tony snapped his entire army out of existence, he just sits down, relaxed. He knows when he's finally beaten.
I imagine Cap would pick all healthy and high-fiber ingredients while Tony stocks up on snacks, fruits, jars of peanut butter, and overall junk food. Maybe buy the supermarket if he feels like it
@@fxlja Alternatively, Cap could be the bargain hunter, looking for things on sale, and alternative, "cheaper" brands, because of his upbringing, while Tony, being the rich guy who doesn't know what a loaf of bread costs, would insist on buying the "high end" of everything, claiming that there's a value to that price tag. Cap would say he think Tony doesn't buy it because it tastes good, but because it's expensive, and Tony would just say "what do you care? I'm the billionaire, it's coming out of my bank account, you're not paying for this stuff anyway", and Cap just insists he doesn't think there' any reason to be wasteful. Yeah, this has potential, we need to seek funding.
I cried just watching this! That moment when Cap says 'Avengers Assemble' I was full on bawling with excitement. I was like' He finally said it! Thats why they waited this long! Bravo!'
Emotionalist of Rollercoasters: Interestingly enough, the final scene of Tony holding the infinity stones and saying "and...I..am...Iron Man" before snapping is both exciting and dreadful, cause on one hand, Thanos's defeat is sealed, but once you remember what the stones did to the Titan and Professor Hulk, you know Tony won't survive the aftermath. And both deaths are done very well with no emotional gimmicks nor "last lines." Just them letting go in silence.
"And both deaths are done very well with no emotional gimmicks nor "last lines." Just them letting go in silence." -- Exactly. You can even notice Tony trying to utter some last words, but he just can't. Also, I loved how Pepper wasn't sobbing and crying immediately as she watches Tony go. She just accepts it peacefully and assures him that he can rest in peace.
Interestingly I found that line "and I am Ironman" to be both great and weak at the same time. It's great to have Tony say it because it ties his circle back to the starting point but on the other hand it was probably the most expected line for him to say at that moment. But of course he said it and his character arc was completed.
Well actually Thanos's hand got all destroyed when he destroyed the stones, not when he snaped half of life. And another difference is that unlike thanos or hulk he just destroyed thanos's army. Not half of all life (which you could say is basically infinite because the universe is basically infinite)
@@mikosoft Interestingly enough, the line wasn't "expected". The original script had Tony just silently snapping his finger - and that's exactly how they shot the scene. Months and months later, when the editors were assembling the film from all the different scenes, which of course were shot out of sequence, they felt like Tony needed to say.. something. One of them suggested "I am Iron man".. they agreed that it should be the line, but Robert Downey didn't want to have to redo the scene. He had shaved off the goatee and was working on other projects. Plus, it takes alot for an actor get back into that emotional frame of mind to make the scene look as deep as it was the first time they shot it. But a friend talked him into it - and I'm glad they went back and reshot the scene.
Larry Legend is a GOAT They might not hold up on their own being judged against “greater” movies using subjective categories. But there isn’t another film franchise that has had this sort of effect on the audience across so many movies. If that doesn’t make them some of the greatest films of all time I don’t know what does.
Larry Legend is a GOAT Let’s not pretend that these movies haven’t had impact. And “artistic qualities” don’t make a movie great. They just make a movie artistic. Ever wonder why film critics are so often out of step with audiences? It’s because they prioritize “artistic qualities” over what the vast majority of movie goers want to see. Call them popcorn flicks if you want but it’s really just a subjective opinion. The box office speaks for itself.
Larry Legend is a GOAT I’m not saying that box office numbers are all that makes a movie great. It seems like you’re saying however, that immense hype maintained over 11 years and 22 movies doesn’t make a series of movies great. My original point is that sure, these movies on their own don’t hold up against the subjective measurements critics use to rate movies. But for the last decade the film industry has been dominated by comic book movies. That’s not for nothing. The MCU has captured the imaginations of adults and children alike and brought us all on a long ride of ups and downs. People were actually going to see 2-3 movies a year of one particular franchise. Pretending like that’s because we all just want to go see mindless movies is really disingenuous. People have been invested in this story for years and in these characters (some more than others) for years. That’s not for nothing. It’s actually the exact opposite.
@@JDP2104 there's nothing wrong with escapism and a lot can be learned from fantasy if one has the eye. There's a huge philosophical point in Infinity War about the moral implications of sacrifice, Endgame is all about creating a future by blocks of the past. Civil War was a fantastic psychological debate, Black Panther raised issues about Colonialism and racial profing, Captain Marvel was a feminist power move in a good way, the Guardians of the Galaxy movies are all about broken people finding new lives with each other, Iron Man 3 explored PTSD and mental illness, Winter Soldier was about government oversight, even the first Iron Man was about accountability and redemption. But sure, they have CGI and jokes so lets not bother
Man. That moment Mjolnir was thrown and flew back into Captains hand was just so hype. The whole theater room just jumped up in excitement, i couldn't help but join in as well, as much as i hated people who talked in movies and such, that moment was just too great to keep it in.
@@human3213 doesnt it makes his character better as we finally saw that he is not worthy just because he is a god or son of odin rather he have a really pure heart and a resolve that makes him worthy.
Stakes are higher in endgame. Thanos has seen that the survivors of his snap will stop at nothing to undo his devastation. This time he will eliminate all life, not just half, so that his work cannot be undone. It’s a crucial difference, and the filmmakers were wise to include it.
I agree that it is an effective way to raise the stakes, however I find it weird because his original intention was to save the universe, and instead I think in that situation he would try to make it impossible to undo what he did, instead of trying to wipe out the people he saved.
@@acecat6439 yeah but ya gotta remember thanos is an insane evil prick. The Mad Titan, who courts Death. Why not just snap bountiful resources for all lives? Don’t over think it, I suppose. He’s the bad guy. Bad guys do bad things. My point was awesome storytelling
@@dmendez77 I think your misunderstanding Thasos's character. he does not do evil things because he is psychotic, he does it because he has seen firsthand how hard life can become with overpopulation and he thinks it is the right thing to do. true though great storytelling.
@@acecat6439 great point, thanks! I don’t think I explained myself correctly, though. Yes, thanos has an ideology based on his own suffering and his fear of overpopulation. And that definitely makes him a deeper character than most villains. His love for Gamora, however twisted, was sincere. I suppose my point is that is not all that drives him. And, yes, psychotic evil also comes into play. With the power of the Infinity Gauntlet, original MCU Thanos seeks to extinguish half of all life to serve his beliefs. But couldn’t he just as easily have “snapped into existence” more resources? His solution, with ultimate power, is to kill? Ebony Maw recognizes this when he’s fighting the Hulk in the beginning of Infinity War. “Let him have his fun.” It also stays true to the comics character, who was trying to romance a literal Death character.
@@dmendez77 but what made Thanos a great villain was his goal to save the universe. Thats why in the beginning he doesn't care if he dies before thor chops of his head because in Thanos mind he saved the world already. That change destroyed the movie for me and makes Thanos one of the greatest villain of all time to a lazy written bad guy=evil and nothing more. Endgame for me is one of the worst marvel movies but that is just my opinion!
Lifting the hammer is exciting, but the moment where Cap stands up with a half-broken shield is the character-defining moment, you don't need a hammer to show you are a great man.
Big Guy617 I was really disappointed with the fact that Hulk vs Cull never happened. Biggest disappointment across Infinity War and Endgame in my opinion. I also wish Professor Hulk was done better. Having a more articulate version of Hulks voice would have been much better rather than just throwing Bruce Banners voice on Hulks body. Just didn’t look right. I loved the movie other than that though.
@@AstonishingRed Hulk should've filled in Captain Marvels role, World Breaker Hulk emerging as things seem hopeless and it appears Nat sacrificed herself for nothing. Green gamma energy radiates from his eyes as he grows angrier and angrier then boom, launches straight up going right through the ship, then back down to face off against Thanos in a rematch of epic proportions. Instead we got Danvers appearing out of nowhere with no real personal history with Thanos or the rest of the Avengers. Everything she did could've, and should've, been done by a truly pissed off Hulk with things playing out exactly as they did.
I was so hype for all the scenes in endgame, and even when tony died I kept my composure and held back my tears, but in those final moments, where Steve and Peggy dance in there own home to a beautiful melody, I couldn’t help but cry, because after all these years, cap finally got his dance. Those last moments were some of the most beautiful moments of any film I’ve ever seen, because of their buildup and delivery. A very satisfying end to a fantastic era of film.
I've never been in a theater where the vocal emotions were so incredibly raw and fun, I know I had been dodging spoilers until my viewing and was so invested in the absolute insanity of the movie. I can't imagine ever seeing the payoff be so well delivered for a movie / series in my lifetime again. Thanks for setting the bar so high, Marvel!
I liked Iron man movie and he died as a hero but what about others? He's getting too much credit its starting to be even stupid. He literally died as a mass murderer there's no honor in it.
My favorite moment is when Cap say: "Avengers, Assemble" me and all theater scream so hard. Endgame was the best experience watching a movie i ever seen.
Both movies Great compliment each other giving our heroes a chance to learn from their.mistakes like Tony learned from fighting Thanos its better for to take the stones than to take off the glove and mostly everyone learned what life is like after a loss can motivate creating and crafting their lives proving they can reinvent themselves to become different from where they started Also that they had to Avenge the fallen but new this time they would reconcile and do it together Avengers reassemble great movies in my opinion two tales mingle into one elaborate story even with tropes plot devices plot holes conveniences characters power level stripped Thor Hulk still entertained me with the time travel confusion I loved it cuz after all these years Marvel must did something right cuz I care about the characters and these actors, actress made me believe and root for them although some choices I do not agree with these two movies will always be loved by me
Before watching this film, I always thought that theaters were a waste of money. But after my friends convinced me to go to our local theater with them, I realize why they've stayed in business for so many decades. When Cap caught the hammer, and again when he said "Avengers Assemble", the entire theater just started whooping and shouting. It was like being at a World Series game, and I really wish I could go back and experience those moments again.
-Hy Tony. "Says Yinsen playng Chess" -Hy Yinsen. -Did you followed my advice ? -What ? -Did you not wasted your life ? -Tony looks up thinking and remenbering about a moment. -No, at least not the most part. Tony sits with win for a little match whille the camera slowly drives away.Ok
Doesnt make sense at all. Wasnt the reason Gamora was with Thanos is because she was sacrificed for the soul stone? That means Nat should be the one who appears before Tony
There is a line, after he saw the image of everyone dying and that is “I saw everyone dead, bet that’s not the worst part” “the worst part is you didn’t”
It was basically preparing us for what we would go through. It was the one chance Dr. Strange talked about. After this movie i think about this vision he had, it was so powerful and I didn't realize that before
Watching my 7 yr old son yell for cap carrying mojlinar, hearing him say Spiderman with elation, listening to him cheer for captain marvels entrance and then consoling his crying after he says those words with tony at the end. That is why Endgame is the best.......
I've always noticed the best endings are the bitter sweet ones. Eg Spider-Man 2, The Dark Knight, Logan. Sad endings can be anti-climatic and happy endings can be cringey
Yah these kind of endings show that the events of the story have their toll, thus making the events significant, but also the Heroes’ efforts do pay off in the end.
I didn't personally find the endings of Return of the Jedi or Return of the King to be cringy, or the ending of Infinity War to be anti-climactic, but I can see where you're coming from
Everytime when Steve dances with Peggy at the end of the movie, it makes me tear up a little. His Conclusion is the very thing I would wish everyone; living life with your loved ones.
Those two movies are just cinematic perfection in my mind. I love them so much. That moment when Cap says 'Avengers... Assemble' I honest to gods would run with every single one of those characters into the face of the enemy, it's just so deeply inspiring
I felt that first slow hour is one of the things that helps make this the best movie in the MCU. It isn't just a happy superhero movie. It takes its time to led audiences feel the weight of the situation, of the heroes' failure.
From the first snap to the arrival of all avengers I completely forget that they reanimated them all, it was just sooo much going on and big scene after big scene. That moment still give me shivers.
I was a very die hard Captain America fan and did not think much of Tony Stark. But when Pepper said "You can rest now." It broke me that I cried my eyeballs out in the theatre That was when I realized who Tony Stark truly was.
"I know your kind, you aren't the guy to lay down in the wire for someone else". "You're right, I think I'd rather just cut the wire". Even quotes like those make huge waves in this movie. You can see the kind of path Tony has taken and you realize that over time, he became the kind of man the world needed him to be. And like his father said: "You, Tony, you are my greatest creation.".
Can't imagine how anyone who saw this movie viewed 30 minutes of Deus Ex Machina, 2 hours of time travel to some of the most boring scenes, and 30 minutes of an over-filled and un-focused fight scene as a suitable ending to this film series. Honestly, Captain America shouldn't have even technically been in the same timeline CONSIDERING IF YOU TIME TRAVEL YOU GO TO A SEPARATE UNIVERSE APART FROM YOUR OWN. Thanks for the poor writing Marvel. I'm not saying hate the movie, if you're gullible and consider those boring time travel sequences entertaining, by all means Back To The Future is one of your top 3 movie behind Endgame. But even I could have had a better screenplay for this movie instead of the horseshit that this film was.
After 11 years and 3 phases, Infinity War and Endgame are still holding up as the MCU’s greatest films. I would give everything in the universe to watch Endgame again and again without ever getting bored of it.
Avengers Endgame is the one movie ever that I wish I could erase from my memory just to be able to feel the way I did watching it for the first time again.
@@ericemanwu It's not only "her Dad loved cheeseburgers" It's at the same time (in my opinion): -a call back to the first Iron Man, obviously. -a call back to avengers, where at the end everyone just eats something after all the ordeal -a testament to her love for her father which, given how shitty the MCU's father are (Ego, Howard Stark, Thanos, Odin... not the greatest fathers...), is actualy great.
knowing how much they can do with this universe I'd like to see more. thanos was great, imagine other great marvel villains getting the same treatment like dr doom, magneto or galactus
also, this movie completes the story for most of its old heroes: tony and black widow sacrificed themselves, cap went back in time to live his life, hawkeye went back to his family but can come back to action if needed and hulk has finally made peace between his two personalities, now we can continue the story with the other heroes and introduce newer ones, the possibility of having reed richards, xavier, wolverine and other characters is a great opportunity
A part of me thinks it would be the most perfect way to end the MCU, but another part of me is thinking "Now what?" Now that the Avengers are not around anymore, what will happen to this universe? What if another big bad villain comes along and threatens life as we know it? (Crossing my fingers for Galactus to show up in the future movies.) Would these other heroes like Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, and Black Panther become the New Avengers? This movie had the perfect ending to the old Avengers team, but it also opens a new chapter in the MCU franchise as well.
@7:00ish. To add, I think the fact we didn't actually -see- the blip/snap being undone until that moment helped too. All we saw was Clint's phone screen implying everyone was back, didn't actually see it until everyone arrived through the portals. Lol
Captain's ending was the best for me, cause I kinda perceived what was going to happen to Tony, but Cap's ending was just something that I didn't see coming, was perfect and touching, just awesome. A great film.
When in the cinema I looked to my right when Tony died and I saw both my 23 (I think) sister and my 16 year old brother crying. I almost cried but I've never seen something (in a movie) sad/heartbreaking enough to make me she'd genuine tears. But it definitely hit hard.
I'm so glad that I was able to see this in cinemas when it came out. Feel bad for future generations who will never be able to experience Cap lifting Mjölnir or that "Avenger's Assemble" moment in a packed theatre

I completely disagree about Endgame. Endgame's shameless writing left me feeling cheap and empty. Oh, there's a roadblock? *insert convenient plot coincidence here.* Endgame felt like a poor-man's Infinity War, which was surprisingly good. They even had the same fight at the end with the same villain. Just this time there wasn't much build up.
Alex Hess There was nothing wrong with the writing! The same people that wrote this movie did Winter Soldier, Civil War and Infinity War. DUH! Stop whining about so called Plot holes! Some of them can be filled if you actually pay attention. Ebony Maw has the brains to replicate Pym Particles! Duh!
CrusaderZade This movie was meant to give final character arcs for the main 6 avengers. It was meant as a goodbye for Capt America, Iron Man, and Black Widow mostly. It was not supposed to be better than Endgame. It was meant to give the other half of the story and close out the Infinity Saga.
I went from 33 to 44 while watching the MCU. It was an experience. The horrible thing about EG is that we won't be seeing these characters together ever again. At least not these versions. I like to see interviews of the cast and it is like a big family. As someone that doesn't have a family, it is touching.
Man, the third act of the film had so many rollercoaster moments. It literally ramped up people watching this movie and by the end of it everyone was just over the edge. I remember watching that video of the audience roaring during those pivotal scenes in the movie. It was superb.
"Psst...hey Star Wars...remember when Finn took Rey's lightsaber in Episode 7? Can we use that?" "Sure thing Marvel...just change it up so the audience won't notice" I noticed and still think it's EPIC
I feel like the business with Thanos was intentional. While he still seems himself as a noble villain on a noble quest in this film, he’s still very much the bad guy and this time, the heroes are having none of it.
They erased all semblance of character from him and turned him into a raving murderous lunatic. That's one of the main reasons I wouldn't watch this movie again
@TheBuragi it makes sense that he would be a psychopath before having to go through recovering the stones. I just dont like it and it ruined the movie for me
He was a lunatic before in IG. It's just that seeing his success end with his death and people being disgusted and worse off by his actions rather than what he deluded himself into believing would happen when he killed half of all life basically made him show his true colors. Chances are if he had been given the chance to kill half of the life on Titan, he likely would have faced the same kind of response and he'd likely respond with wiping out the entire planet as well.
I remember when I saw Endgame on the theather, and I was just SOOO mind blown, and even if the MCU continues, I'll forever feel like this is the true conclusion to the MCU :') ❤️
No need to. DC had its chance. They blew it. Idk if they're on track (Shazam and Aquaman seems like a good sign), but the damage is done. JL, Suicide Squad, and to some extent BvS

Hristo Kozhuharov Yah I did notice that as well, but you have to remember that in Infinity War, Thanos has already taken his toll both physically and mentally, as well as the fact that he is walking into a battle the Heroes prepared for. On the other hand in Endgame, he is fresh and ready to fight and he catches the Heroes off guard after they have been mentally (and physically in Thor’s case) defeated for years.

Thund3rBird
A Black Widow movie could easily set up new characters and factions that the future Avengers will have to face.
Take Captain America for example, it introduced Hydra who took over Shield which led to it dismantling.
It also introduced us to the Tesseract. That led to another Prequel that gave us Captain Marvel (eh) and the Skrulls.

Youmean stupid AND boring?
I feel like Endgame's slow start works a whole lot better of you watch it directly after Infinity War. Infinity War is this jokey, high paced, action packed roller coaster and you still kinda have the feeling that everything's gonna work out and them SNAP half the universe is dead and that reality hits you like a ton of bricks. Then you get to stew in that feeling for an hour before things start to lighten up and then finally you get the greatest act 3 of all time
There's no way it was gonna work with caps team on earth and tony stuck in space.
It was obvious it wasn't gonna work since they worked teamed up
@@Charziken909 I mean watching the two in tandem as one 6-hour movie.
I'm talking about the part in IW where u said "u still kinda have a feeling that everything's gonna work out"
I'm saying as soon as I saw there was no way for tony to make it back to earth or Steve to get to space, I knew it was over.

Ok now I want to see Tony and Cap go grocery shopping for an hour. Legit.
Honestly just listening to those two disagree on what to buy for food for the week like an old married couple sounds like a great short film.
I would unironically enjoy that. Great character interactions is one amongst many major variables to determine what makes a good story.
When he said “It’s Avengin’ Time” I truly felt that
Emotionalist of Rollercoasters: Interestingly enough, the final scene of Tony holding the infinity stones and saying "and...I..am...Iron Man" before snapping is both exciting and dreadful, cause on one hand, Thanos's defeat is sealed, but once you remember what the stones did to the Titan and Professor Hulk, you know Tony won't survive the aftermath.
@@MrConstantine02 makes it so much sadder. Same goes for cap and Peggy reunion there was no words said just s dance

Infinity War and Endgame were the greatest theatre experiences I’ve ever had
Marvel movies are not some of the greatest films of all time, but they sure so know how to excite the audience

I sometimes get overwhelmed with sadness realizing I will never be able to watch Endgame for the first time again.
We will get a new Endgame in 10 years with the new characters we've learned to love. We will still get that feeling, I hope.
@@veketal nah. The feeling straight up can't be replicated. The new characters will mostly never live up to the older ones.
@@Cnut_the_grape as sad as I am to admit, you're right. The new characters are nowhere near as good as the older ones, and so are the movies
Most emotional moment of the MCU?
Morgan asking for a cheeseburger
Happy internally: HER DAD LOVED CHEESEBURGERS!!!
And AC/DC Back in Black playing in Far From Home
@@ericemanwu It's not only "her Dad loved cheeseburgers"
It's at the same time (in my opinion):
-a call back to the first Iron Man, obviously.
-a call back to avengers, where at the end everyone just eats something after all the ordeal
-a testament to her love for her father which, given how shitty the MCU's father are (Ego, Howard Stark, Thanos, Odin... not the greatest fathers...), is actualy great.
When that line happened in theaters it was almost too much. Eleven years, that's just insane.
not so much the line itself as it was Favreaus reaction, absolute class acting, and fitting as he's the one that actually started it all.
Didn’t come for the thumbnail but Elizabeth Olsen still fye🔥🔥🔥🔥

Ending was so great that I wished they ended mcu after phase 3
knowing how much they can do with this universe I'd like to see more. thanos was great, imagine other great marvel villains getting the same treatment like dr doom, magneto or galactus
also, this movie completes the story for most of its old heroes: tony and black widow sacrificed themselves, cap went back in time to live his life, hawkeye went back to his family but can come back to action if needed and hulk has finally made peace between his two personalities, now we can continue the story with the other heroes and introduce newer ones, the possibility of having reed richards, xavier, wolverine and other characters is a great opportunity
nah man the money are still rolling in.
They won’t stop until they stop making money
A part of me thinks it would be the most perfect way to end the MCU, but another part of me is thinking "Now what?" Now that the Avengers are not around anymore, what will happen to this universe? What if another big bad villain comes along and threatens life as we know it? (Crossing my fingers for Galactus to show up in the future movies.) Would these other heroes like Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, and Black Panther become the New Avengers? This movie had the perfect ending to the old Avengers team, but it also opens a new chapter in the MCU franchise as well.
Ironman when he hugs Spider-Man had me in tears😭
When you talked about *'Cap* getting his ending, and the showing the ending where him and Peggy dance again I just... Oh, man. I teared up again. :'-)
Infinity War is better, this movie was a boring mess like BvS.

even though everything you said is true, endgame is still my favourite movie of all time
Same too, its getting too much unnecessary hate these days
Even if it isnt the best movie marvel has offered it is definitely my favorite.
I think its fair to say its the most memorable movie ever made, but if we objectively look at it, there are plenty of movies better than endgame
@@gokulsiriah7941 by that logic everyone should have the same favourite movie. Just because there are better movies doesn't mean this can't be your favourite. I'd rather watch this 100 time then, idk, pulp fiction 10 times, pulp fiction is the better movie but I have a better time watching endgame and because of that it's my favourite movie.
@@kiranvandevelde692 how is pulp fiction better movie?
The music for the Portals scene is just epic. Alan Silvestri, you’ve done it again.
Infinity War was a better film, but Endgame was more rewarding.
CrusaderZade Watching the two movies back to back is what makes it such a great experience.
It's the same movie, they were both made at the same time.
Seeing Cap with Peggy is so heartwarming even seeing a clip of it makes me tear up
Man, the third act of the film had so many rollercoaster moments. It literally ramped up people watching this movie and by the end of it everyone was just over the edge. I remember watching that video of the audience roaring during those pivotal scenes in the movie. It was superb.
Its been almost 4 years since Endgame, I have watched it at least 10 times and here I still get chills just by listening to you talking about it
The explosiveness of excitement in the audience when Cap wields Mjolnir was beyond anything the MCU will ever make again. What a payoff!
It can be marched by the hysteria occruing during caps arrival in the factory to save Wanda.
My friend spoiled that moment.
"Psst...hey Star Wars...remember when Finn took Rey's lightsaber in Episode 7? Can we use that?"
"Sure thing Marvel...just change it up so the audience won't notice"
I noticed and still think it's EPIC
1:25 It grabs you BEFORE the first scene! That distress call is so sick.
I remember when I saw Endgame on the theather, and I was just SOOO mind blown, and even if the MCU continues, I'll forever feel like this is the true conclusion to the MCU :') ❤️
Unless the multiversal concept somehow reunites an Avengers-level ensemble it'll be back.

Well as an ending it’s perfect as a movie tho.....
It’s still perfect
Just not as perfect as Infinity War lol
When you have a satisfying ending, you are willing to forgive the flaws. When the ending subverts your satisfaction, all you can see are the flaws.
Not really. Is a decent movie yet by far not the best comic book movie

Or... in Infinity War Tony manages to draw blood but in, while Thanos uses the gauntlet 💪, where as in End Game the three of them can barely graze him. With the axe, hammer and so on
Hristo Kozhuharov Yah I did notice that as well, but you have to remember that in Infinity War, Thanos has already taken his toll both physically and mentally, as well as the fact that he is walking into a battle the Heroes prepared for.
On the other hand in Endgame, he is fresh and ready to fight and he catches the Heroes off guard after they have been mentally (and physically in Thor’s case) defeated for years.
