I saw your clip in IG. Thank you for sharing. I just quit my job this April. Last day was April 30. I will be starting a business this 2nd week of May. It was a side hustle at first but I've finally decided to make it fulltime. I'm nervous and excited at the same time. I've been on the rat race for several years. I started as working student in 2004 then transitioned to full-time work and I never stopped. I was dragging myself to work for the past couple of months. It took a lot of guts to quit my job. I only have one life to live and I want to make the most out of it. I wish I was able to quit my job early but I was blocked by my fears and uncertainties because of financial obligations. But I am thankful to the companies I worked for. All the knowledge and discipline I learned from them I will now pour into this project I am about start.
often people ask me if i miss practicing my profession. i often search my heart once in a while if i do. but 8yrs being a stay at home mom now to 3 boys as an expat family in japan, i have never felt this fulfilled in my life. I really enjoy this slow life. honestly since i was young this was what i really wanted ❤️🙏🏻
😂 Hi skyfam, I feel like this video was for me. But char, HAHAHHA, I was in a financial institution right now, the job was good, but the culture was built differently. Parang di ako match sa culture nila, di ako makasabay, even though I tried hard to love my job but hindi eh. I thought about this long and hard, however, I feel like I am not fulfilled and feeling stuck. I cannot see myself doing this thing until next year or in the future.
I totally relate from this. Ang dami ko kasing hilig (which is very obvious sa youtube channel ko) I am an Architecture grad, and during college days and dami kong passion na nasacrifice like dancing and art. I do art classes/tutorials and dance lessons on the side rin. As much as I want to pursue them everything at the same time, sobrang hirap and hindi rin progressive young growth if sabay sabay mo sila gagawin. Right now, sobrang loaded ng utak ko. I am also pursuing post grad studies, plus archi work plus preparing for an international dance competition on July. So as of now, yung art passion ko ay resting naman while bumabawi ako sa dancing. Sobrang hirap pagsabayin, pero okay lang naman kasi mas nakikita ko rin talaga growth if nililimit ko young ginagawa ko basta I know mababalikan ko pa naman yung ibang things. Ang dami ko pa gusto fulfill beyond these things. I want to pursue teaching, law or environmental planning! Pero I tell myself not to overplan and don't schedule these things. Pinapakiramdaman ko na lang yung present, and ano yung timing na fit for these goals.
Exactly @ 21:54 In my previous job as a territory specialist, my Manager let me cover the other region, so tendency is I cannot perform my Job well because of the travel back and forth from Occidental to Oriental or vice versa. Traveling it takes a lot of time, 5 hrs of travel from one region to another region is hard.
How I wish my past boss and manager think the same way as Slater when open up about being overwork but the sad reality is not all bosses are good leaders. More powers to the podcast!
