How can we find displacement in X-direction when load applied in Y-direction alone. Even though load applied in Y-direction, in large displacements there may be chance of sliding of nodes in X-direction. How could we find them? help sir

thanks for the tuto, but the stress i not uniform as you said, in order to plot the stress distribution within the beam we have to active the 3D plot as you did for displacement

Thanks for your tutorials.I am going to design portal from using cold form lipped(back to back) channel section for medium size warehouse. This is the one of the section I am using for my design.(250x75x20) thickness is 1.6.Could you please explaine that how this cold form lipped channel behavior in ANSYS 3D.
