@@Polopony I don't agree. Of course you are entitled to your opinion but I think it is important for the world to see all ties to the monarchy severed from the Harkles in view of their less than honourable behaviour. Whatever H or M say or do after that the world knows they are not important in any way. King's son without the status and connections to the monarchy is meaningless. He may be family but many of us have a family member who does not have the same values and is dishonest and toxic and must be kept away for the good of the rest of the family.

There have always been troublesome royal children throughout history who have been dealt with quite efficiently. Unfortunately as h knows he won't "suffer" those consequences but he can only thumb his nose at the RF for so long. They have very very clever lawyers who could run rings around h's big haired brief. In the scheme of things h won't win although on the surface it looks like he has. Just believe me, where ever this kind of question to provide any non-public documentation of the institution at same level as the royal household (Head of State, kings, queens, presidents...) leads to consultation of the experts specialist on the constitution. It's question of the stately institution, not about some useless but harmless Harry (who is then a separate question, if needed).

I think the 'in trouble' just meant that it was a huge embarrassment and a constitutional nightmare, because for someone at H's position in LoS to acquire a criminal record a view would have to be taken, presumably, about expelling him from it. After all, a convicted criminal can hardly be eligible to become head of state and the courts of law. The RF themselves are not involved in H's legal mess, I don't think that was the intended suggestion.

    • @Polopony
      @Polopony 3 месяца назад

The King must, and presumably will, hand it over. The constitutional crisis is more likely to be that it could reveal that H did indeed know about the phone hacking prior to 2019 when he brought the case, but he has sworn on oath that he didn't, in order to be able to avoid the statute of limitations ruling his case inadmissible. That is a perversion of the course of justice, and/or perjury. It's a constitutional crisis because H is at No 5 in LoS, but if he were to be convicted of a serious criminal offence such as perverting the course of justice, he would presumably not be eligible to remain in LoS or, therefore, as a CoS, because a Head of State (by definition, also head of the law courts) can't have a criminal record. It's all rather awks...

Yes, absolutely. It is nothing to do with the RF - they are merely providing information for which they have been asked. If it screws H and his case, then that's his problem, and does not involve them except in so far as the constitutional issues which it could bring up. For example, if H got charged and convicted with the criminal offence of intent to pervert the course of justice, there would be an issue about LoS - because, presumably, a convicted criminal cannot become the Head of State and, by definition, also head of the courts of law. I assume that at a certain point, it may be too late for him to simply withdraw. The court has made itself available to him in good faith, and when he lodged the case he signed legal paperwork agreeing to the terms and conditions of taking this court action, namely that he would make evidence available to the defendant to build their case. So he can't claim ignorance of what he was, and was not, supposed to have done. If the judge doesn't believe his explanation for the absence of this paperwork, therefore, he will have to take the view that H has deliberately abused and manipulated the court's time and resources for his own ends, and that is a very serious criminal offence which H may not be able to evade by simply withdrawing his suit.

It's one thing to airbrush relatively minor, if unpleasant, behavioural misdemeanours (by which I am not referring to the rumours of SA, which are currently unproven) by the grandson of the monarch, it is quite another to endorse, by covering it up, a major criminal act such as intent to pervert the course of justice, by the son of the monarch. It simply has to land on H's shoulders, and his alone, if he is guilty. But in fact it does present the Crown with an opportunity to take some actions regarding H, with complete public justification, which might have been difficult to do if this situation had not arisen. Being convicted of a serious criminal offence is about the only criterion that could be used to remove him from LoS, for example. So it's an ill wind...

Great depiction in this deck for the knight of swords. You can really feel the forward energy, focus, and determination. I think the Knight is carrying the Sword of Damocles over TO’s head. Add that sword to the 7 TO is already carrying and you get 8 of swords which will find him backed into a corner. I do hope there will be significant repercussions.

I don’t like MM and never have and I believe she is the root of most of what has happened but Harry has been complicit it much of it. He should have at least of been man enough to protect his Grandparents from the onslaught that they endured at the hands of MM, instead he stood by watched and said nothing. That is not the actions of either a MAN or a respectful Grandson, at that point he lost all of any sympathy I may have had for him as a child. He has grown into an entitled person with no respect and if he is never made to face up to the consequences of his actions he will NEVER change. Making him just pay money will not help he has no respect for money he has always got it to easily he does not know what real life is all about.

    • @Polopony

If H is removed from LoS then he is automatically also no longer eligible to be CoS (because the criteria for CoS is the monarch's spouse plus the first 4 adults in LoS over 21, or 18 for the heir). And if H is found guilty of perverting the course of justice by knowingly destroying evidence and/or lying on oath about knowing of the phone hacking prior to 2019, then he probably cannot be allowed to remain in LoS, because the monarch, who is also the head of the law courts, cannot be a convicted criminal. Possibly that was what the meeting was about.

Incorrect. KC3 did not lose Camilla by dithering. He did not have the option of losing her, because she was in love with Andrew Parker Bowles, and wanted to marry him rather than Charles. You forget, apparently, that KC3 has only been monarch for just under 2 years, prior to which he had no power to act in regard to H&M. And much of what everyone constantly exhorts him to do - strip the tiles, take LoS etc - is simply not in his remit, as monarch, nor will it be in William's.

Yes, Camilla fell for Andrew Parker- Bowles who philandered his way through his entire life and set her eyes on Charles to get back
at him ( so I’ve read ). There might have been a spark there between them but I still say Charles is a ditherer and hence was found
a SUITABLE prospective wife and rather pushed into marriage with Diana. His Father is understood to have spoken his mind on this.
Don’t try and tell me a Monarch has no power or authority : they have. They know how things are done, they know how things
work and they have access to some powerful and knowledgeable people. If a reigning Monarch expresses a deeply felt wish ……
The Royal Family grow up in a rarefied world with immense wealth & privileges and are brainwashed from an early age to hold on
to these at all cost. That always comes first : their position. It was always said Charles would be a weak King and he is. An 86 yr
old woman had more savvy than him. He has allowed his spoilt, irresponsible second son too much leeway.
