    Thank you Larry for recounting the story of Kochera's gold ore. From listening to stories for years now of the legends of find gold in the Superstition mountains I can say that they just keep getting more weird. Most of the time things don't work out well for human beings and gold.

    Great new story. Stories like these I think are why we love the western U.S. the desert has a mystique about it that is like nothing else. I always have the feeling I could stumble onto some new undiscovered cache of gold, or just old, rusted junk that is just a good!

    Another good 'ol tale, thanks Larry. Walt's camp is above the box in Squaw Canyon. There's a small thick Grove of ironwoods at the top of a side canyon. Walt's camp is in the middle of that grove. There used to be a faint old trail on the south side of the grove that led to the only access into the interior of the grove, where his campsite is. It's one heck of a walk to get up there, but is a darn fine campsite once you're there.

    Back to the lost Dutchman I watched the unsolved mystery episode about the gold it said he dug the hole 6 feet down and used ironwood logs and parts of a stable to seal the hole up do you have a place in the mountains were alot of that type of wood is it seems it was close to a place were someone lived because of the stable wood on the report did it say the man had gold in his backpack I seen a little of the letter

    Who’s to say those folks weren’t killed and never made it back to the camp site…. I’ve followed the lore for over a decade now and there’s lots of stories of folks who’ve gone up the mountain and never come out alive.
    No disrespect however anything could have happened for sure.

  • @debbiekeith5350

    Someone searching for the lost gold of WW2 contacted someone in Russia and they used something called nuclear magnetic residence were they used Russia satellite to take pictures of the island were they thought gold was they got a few hits I haven't seen next episode yet to see if it worked

    • @larryhedrick254

      I personally believe the government does know where mineralization exist in the Superstition.
      The government knows about an asteroid millions of miles away that contains a lot of gold that they’ve never been to yet doesn’t know where gold is to be found on earth? I’ve always wondered why they made it a wilderness and stopped the ability to file a claim in the first place.

  • @debbiekeith5350
    @debbiekeith5350 Год назад +1

    The people of Arizona should get a petition started so you could get the law changed about searching for gold in the mountain and they should split it with you and quit being greedy

    • @larryhedrick254
      @larryhedrick254 Год назад +2

      Actually Debbie it is not against the law to search and if something was found and the government verified it a treasurer trove permit could be obtained to work it if one lived long enough to survive the red tape involved.
