  • The Honda Civic RS eHEV is some car - whilst it is classified as a hybrid, it is actually more of an electric car with an engine that charges the battery. You get to enjoy the power of an electric car, but never have range anxiety. Do watch the video to see how the i-MMD system works.
    In terms of fuel economy, it performs better than the Civic RS, and now one can understand why Honda names this variant as the 'flagship' model of the Civic range.
    In terms of size, it is a C-segment car, but the size now is bordering into the D-segment - you get a lot of car; those familiar with the history of the Honda Civic will know that the Civic has grown hugely since the introduction of the first Civic decades ago.
    My personal relationship with the Civic started in 1974 when I bought my 3-door hatch, and then I rallied two Civics between 1980 to 1982, winning two rally championships along the way. I am very happy to see how that model has turned out after all these years; yes, it is a great car!
    Don't forget also, if you wish to find out more, or buy this car, and other Honda models, go to
    shop.yskhongdriving.com, or send us a Whatsapp at 016-3350609. Let us help you find the right car!

    This is, without doubt, the most comprehensive explanation of how the systems work, other reviewers struggle to explain it and half the time get it wrong, so well done for that, every time I watch one of your videos it always seems to be raining, I thought it rained a lot here in England where I live but at least your rain is warm lol.

      @YSKhongDriving  4 месяца назад +2

      Hi, thank you for your kind words. I assume you are from Emgland and yes we get real rain hete, not your daily London drizzle. It storms and we get flash floods very often; which is why our folks here need to know the air intake height of a car.
      The rain here is indeed a little warmer but you can still catch a cold if you get caught in it.
      Sometimes it rains when we do our drives but I take it in my stride and check out how how the car does in the wet.

    I've had it for couple of weeks. Average fuel consumption in KL/Selangor is about 20-23km/L. 16km/l on a day when I think that I'm a racing driver. Ride very comfortably. Handling is good for a car this size and weight and comfortable but it's no sport car. Feels like there's some vectoring control. Road noise is pretty noticeable. Maybe it's because how quiet the car is. It feels like it's as loud as a mini cooper. Acceleration is immediate and smooth. things that I keep complaining of is it's comes with wireless charger but no wireless Android auto. Electric adjust sit but no memory. Lane keep assist only available at 70km/h and above.

    • @teohabi
      @teohabi Год назад +2

      Actually you can enable wireless android auto, but it's a little buggy at first. Once you've connected for the first time, it's smooth after that.

    • @teohabi

      Long press home, volume knob and the back skip button together until you see a new orange and white page. Then press the bottom part, then click on smartphone connection. You'll find that apple carplay is set to wireless but android auto is still on USB. Enable the wireless one and return to the normal home page. Restart your car and connect via cable to enable android auto.

      @@teohabi OMG it does have it! I have to remove Honda from the phone android auto setting and remove the phone from the car first and connect them again to get it to work. Why did they dissable it in the first place? So that they can say that they have added new feature next year? or as an optional upgrade?

    This is the same concept as e-power by Nissan. The engine charges the battery that feeds the electric motor.
    This is in contrast with Toyota Hybrid where the electric motor operates alongside with the ICE. The charging primarily comes from regenerative braking.

      Yup, almost same,
      But honda takes a step further
      main difference is , honda has an e clutch where the engine engages the wheel at cruising speeds , where the engine is at its most optimum speed and rev
