    I've been doing callisthenics and weights for about 10 years and this almost exactly fits my situation. I started to get pain in my left heel that connects to the back of my right pelvis and becomes worse when I walk long distances. Working out makes everything better for a while; I do a lot of hanging, both active passive shoulder work.
    I've never some across anyone put it all together like this. Usually they focus has been on scapular winging etc. with exercises to just deal with that.

  • @xxcrysad3000xx
    @xxcrysad3000xx Год назад +13

    This is so informative. My right shoulder is lower than my left and my right scap wings quite a bit when I raise my arms. For a long time I had attributed this to having broken my right collar bone and one of my left ribs about 7 years ago, and muscular imbalances related to that injury. Now here I come to find out this is perhaps not so unusual and that might explain why mere working out to correct the muscular imbalance has been so ineffective (the scap winging does cause some pain occasionally so it's not just a cosmetic issue). Thank you for making these videos.

    Not scientific, and might not help everyone.... A little something i started doing that has been a bonus to these types of exercises and hip exercises is. I started eating (holding the spoon) with my left hand and started brushing my teeth with my left hand, while consciously keeping my right shoulder in a good posture position (keep the scapula back and dont overly rotate right side trunk).. This practice has helped me gain muscle mind connection and more posture correct movements with my left arm..
    Good luck... Health is a great habit.

      @@conorharrisHi Conor, i totally idnetify in your description of the problem, only fear of mine however, is that: throughout the years ive noticed that my right collarbone, is like 4/5th of an inch shorter than the left one (2cm), it is more compressed, it seems thicker aswell, it's angle is more aggressive, whereas the left one seems longer and straighter.
      Is there a fix for this (after i ofcourse manage to fix the scoliosis, that i have, together with all the muscle imbalances), or is this set in stone now? (Im 22 btw)
      Cuz on top of the aesthetical factor, and ofcourse the balance factor, it also gives me pain, quite a lot of it, i truly hate it.

    Hiiiii Connor, based on chiropractic gonstead theory both innominate have four kinds of displacement, PIIN PIEX ASIN ASEX. As I found out based on the PRI, in AIC pattern left pelvis has ASIN and the right one has PIEX and maybe people would have only this pattern if they have a pattern . The abduction and adduction tests also prove the left AIC pattern. to be honest I am a little confused because in the pelvic x-rays while the situation is explained by the chiropractor I have seen a lot left PIEX or PIIN...

    Recently I've noticed I'm able to contract my erector muscles better on the right side then on the left, which makes perfect sense as to why after watching your video. Never would've thought the hips could effect the shoulders like that.

    This might be a stupid question but how can I tell if it's my right shoulder that's low and not my left shoulder that's high? I tore my left rotator cuff years ago and have less mobility on that side, but the right side is my dominant side and looks to be the side that's dropped. But I'm confused because I can't tell if the rotator cuff injury that happened is causing my left shoulder to be higher or if its my more dominant side on the right that's actually lower.
    Also, my right foot is externally rotated as well and and my right hip is quite a bit tighter and less mobile than the left side where there is no external rotation. I did parkour for 10 years also, and any running jump or anything that required using only one foot I'd use my right foot to take off because it's my dominant side. So I was wondering if a tight right hip is causing my right shoulder to drop.

And instead of the Right Hip being higher it's my left hip. But the L shoulder is higher and R shoulder is lower, L shoulder external rotation more limited and R shoulder internal rotation more Limited + typical AIC patterns like weak L adductor and L hamstring.
