    I just purchased one of these and WOW, this thing just works, period! I have a 4x4 Labs rear bumper on my FJ80 and the typical hitch tightening brackets don't work with that because there is nowhere for the bracket to push against (based on the design of the bumper). So glad I found this, installed in seconds and no more play in the hitch!

    Why don't the tow bar manufactures make the hitches without the slop.

      Too close of tolerance. Would need a hammer to insert.

      Because the tow hitch has to marry up with products from other companies out of the control of the hitch manufacturer, and vice versa.

    He shook the regular bolt violently but didn’t shake the silent pin at all :/

      I can understand that it may look that way in the video but the Silent Hitch Pin when tighten simply does not shake so there isn't much to see.

    That only works on side to side movement. Add a U bolt style hitch clamp for total lock down.Up and down needs more for real world use. I drive my truck off road daily with a heavy load on the hitch. This is only half of the add ons needed for long term use.

    And if it is a solid hitch vs hollow?

    • @LetsGoAeroTV
      @LetsGoAeroTV  5 лет назад +1

      The Silent Hitch Pin is only for hollow shanks. We are currently working on a product for solid Hitches but it will likely not be available till 2020.

    They are great & do everything you say they do but they are not very strong, not only this brand but all of them. They should make the locks out of High Tensile steel instead of brass. If you grab the lock end with a big pair of decent Multi Grips while the pin is still done up tight and twist or hit them with a hammer the locks just fall apart. Its not all that noisy or difficult to do & it takes 30 seconds or less. Lose your keys and you will see what I mean when you try to get the pin out. I am sure the thieves know about this by now too.
