    You mentioned 'datalog' in one of your post below, but I was under the impression that RC does not offer this capability. I am about to get my RC in 2 days and I'm at 7,000ft in elevation and I'm concern about the performance of RC at this elevation and running 91 Octane, which is the best I can get around here; other than e85, which I wish you guys would offer a tune for that. Any thoughts?

    Very nice video. Can you run race chip with exhaust and intake modifications (stock downpipes).? What map would you recommend with these mods and 93 octane (US)

      Thanks for your feedback, really appreciate it!
      If it is "trusted" 93 US octane, MAP 7 should work, if you are not 100% sure, MAP6 is the way to go.
      As example, we have a client from California, running on MAP7 without any issues (we datalogged this car as well, everything looks perfect).
      While another one is not running 100% smooth on MAP7, we are trying to datalog that car as well, to check everything.
      If we find something which we can improve, we are going to update the Software (make sure to get the APP Version, so you get it over the air)
      Cheers,
      Dani

    Enjoyed the video. Per some of the comments below on HP numbers, since buying my '21 M4 Competition I've seen about 10-12 videos from Germany, UK and here in the US on dyno numbers. Yours is ~ 20 HP less than the others--same on torque. The average has been 550-555, range from 547 to just under 570. This is RWHP with a 12% driveline loss. Dynos of course vary--one to another, and even day to day, but you are under rating stock HP I believe. Still, enjoyed the video and have subscribed. Will be interested in your tune numbers.

      Thanks, really appreciate your Feedback!
      Our MAHA (MSR 500) Dyno is mainly build for giving accurate Engine HP numbers. Usually US/UK (Dynojets, Mustang etc.) Dynos are showing bigger Wheel HP numbers.
      On the MAHA Dyno, driveline (drivietrain) loss is getting measured after each single run (every car will have a slightly different loss due to tires, rims, temps etc.)
      At ruclips.net/video/hPHLpZO7A8g/видео.html you can actually see the measured loss (P-Schlepp = drivetrain loss) and Wheel HP (P-Rad).
      P-Rad + P-Schlepp = Engine HP (uncorrected)
      As additional information:
      There is a way to calculate Engine HP based on 100-200kmh times / aerodynamics / weight of the car. Actually a German physics teacher is really good in it.
      He is calculating a lot of cars for us, to backup & confirm the dyno results. He calculated exactly this M4 with 542HP & 544HP on 2 separate 100-200 runs
      If you are interested in it: ruclips.net/video/GbGdiT0sq7Y/видео.html (it is in German, but you can use the auto-translate if you like)

      Michael S, what whp did you get and was it a Dynojet or Mustang Dyno? I know altitude impacts this as well. Also, any chance you've tested the 0-60 and 1/4 mile time? Since I've been on an eternal wait list for the CT5-V Blackwing I'm thinking real hard on the M4 Comp.

      @@glennc2564 Haven't had mine dynoed, but a guy with an M4C up in Denver got 498 RWHP on a Dynojet. That's ~565 to the crank. Dynojets tend to run high, but even at 6000', that is making a good 550+. Torque was ~ 535 to the crank as I recall. No 1/4s, but 0-60 is mid-3s from what I've heard. M4C has a waitlist too. Not sure which is longer. Caddy just doesn't do it for me. Good engine, but body? Pass.

    You can hear and see that the response of the automatic transmission is slower than a DCT. There's no getting around it.
    The car is growing on me but it's gotten heavy. But it's been proven multiple times that if you throw enough force/power behind an object, it will move.

    • @RaceChipChiptuning
      @RaceChipChiptuning 3 года назад +1

      Honestly, it is not that bad.
      Of course DCT shifts a little bit quicker and gives you that DCT shift "punch", therefore the 8 Speed ZF is smoother for daily use.
      Overall one of the best M Cars imo.
      Cheers,
      Dani

    • @backnu
      @backnu 3 года назад

      @@RaceChipChiptuning the DCT is noticeably quicker. You can hear it! Having said that, automatic cars have came a long way the last 3 years. They just seem to lack some of the response you want when you are shifting near redline, or expect an instant shift like a DCT. My fiancé has a DCT in her Audi…and I have yet to find a conventional automatic that shifts as fast.

    542-510= 32 more hp as claimed
    -> 32/510= 6,3% more hp as claimed, so that’s actually out of this 5% tolerance range as mentioned by you

      P-Mot: 528hp without any correction

    • @vollcare4076
      @vollcare4076 3 года назад

      @@RaceChipChiptuning maybe, for turbocharged engines with a modern DME, the EWG correction is leading to wrong (too high) hp numbers
      E.g. if you measure at 40 degree Celsius let’s say 340hp on a M140, the EWG corrected value will be sth like 360 hp (correct??), but in real life one the street the DME will also limit to 340hp even at temperatures about 20 degree (nominal temp for EWG correction)

    • @RaceChipChiptuning
      @RaceChipChiptuning 3 года назад

      @@vollcare4076 that is correct, especially for Porsche engines. However, out of experience, EWG correction gives us pretty accurate results on all other OEMs.
      And, for german part approvals (Teilegutachten), we have to use EWG correction by law.

The other thing that got my attention with the G82 was a drag race it did with the C8 Corvette. Hung with the vette the whole 1/4 mile.
