I'm one of those Americans who is a fan because of his fast songs. A lot of his Chinese fans don't understand that the fast songs are what truly make him a musical genius. I like his ballads too but they're just not as mindblowing or creative as his fast songs. Ye Hui Mei, Common Orange Jasmine, and November's Chopin are masterpiece albums. I'm hoping for the day he starts making albums with darker and fast paced songs again. I actually think Bedtime Stories is his best modern album. The a Greatest Works Of Art is way too safe with the majority of songw being about love. It's boring.

I'll just say that Jay is a god and an icon and but for the fact that he sings in Mandarin, virtually no one in the West knows his music. Chris Brown does have that song "With You" which is absolutely fire, though. It seems like you might really enjoy Jay's "Zhongguo Feng" songs, which refers to his distinctive genre of music that combines western pop or r&b or rock with traditional Chinese instrumentation and musicality. Some other ones include "Hair Like Snow," "East Wind Breaks," "Fearless," "Worldly Tavern," "Far Away," "Rain All Night," "Dragon Fist," and "Passerby." You might want to check them out if you liked this one.
