- Don't take it personal I still really love props and halloween and doing yard haunts and stuff when I can, but I really hate that everything is broken and they are to expensive to buy.

Guys, I am jobean by the way I'm not throwing them away and I'm not selling them yet just because they are broken doesn't mean I'm going to sell or throw them out. I like them because they keep the memories of spirit halloween in the past, and each one is special even if I got replacements. It isn't the same to me. Everything is different to me, so therefore I'm not throwing them away or selling them yet. The only reason the ones like resurrection mary and my older demonica and other guys gor thrown away was because I gave them to my neighbor when they broke, and his parents threw them out I hate the fact I didn't take them back, but typically I don't throw anything anything out. I just don't have space anymore that's the issue here, and the price they want for these is not for me anymore. I have to start saving for my life stuff.
While Tekky Toys makes some pretty cool and unique props, as dd_richart1 said most do stop working eventually. If I do buy a Tekky Toys prop, I buy the display model at the end of the year (Given that it did not already sell), since they are actually made better than the retail units. Y.J. and Gemmy do seem to last longer from what I have seen in stores (Even with Tekky's display models), but most Halloween props are bound to stop functioning properly at some point. I know exactly what you mean, though; The prices really add up when you buy a lot.
Spirit is trying to make animatronic products that don't cost thousands of dollars-like most quality ones cost-but in doing so you have to cut corners. The plastic moving parts on these things are too thin, the electronics are not very good and normally owners are for the most part rough on these things. Shoved in the box while putting away for the season, not enough "kid gloves" when taking apart. The word animatronic and inexpensive should not go in a sentence together. While I don't think they have to be priced as high as a company like Distortions prices, they can't be made well for the price they sell at. When I do buy one of these suckers, I buy it as a static prop with benefits-the benefit being it actually works one of the few times I turn it on. Like when trick or treating is going on. I guarantee Spirit's thinking is-we'll make these look really good (which most do), so when it breaks the owner will think, "well at least it looks good, I can still use this". Anyway great collection, either way you are lucky. I am 45 yrs old and large prop wise, I only own about 3 of the spirit items.
I got a grim graven angel this year and hes just made somewhat alright, but the older electronics just suck at surviving 4 years or longer.
Jordan, I have watched your property videos for years. Here is my tip: stick with props by y.j. and Gemmy ONLY. Your bone collector and zombie barrel still do function, yet pop up warewolf noes nothing. Also, try and get older props, as they are made better and will keep you in the prop spirit. Hope this helps!

I agree. My limb ripper I got it this year and it's now discontinued because I got the last one they had at spirit. Still works! And impossible to disassemble
Is there another company that has halloween props that don't break?
We do a charity haunt and try to repupose them into static props and pnuematic so if you ever want to get rid of them please let me know. We always need the help. Our Gruesome Granny doesnt make any sound everything else on her works
my happy swinging clown broke it fridge there was smoke and did not make noise or swing or move his head but I still use him for my halloween display I hope my hugs the clown does not break

Maybe it's a lot of work to drag them all from my grandparents house to here which of coarse they would break more there's usually wind rain or snow or I have to work I couldn't do it the last 2 years I only get a couple of trick or treaters like 20 maybe that's to much work for that. People probably won't come anymore because I haven't done it the last 2 years so I don't think anyone's watching anymore

you can't really fix stuff like that. if a spring loaded plastic pole is snapped there is no way to fix that. it's to stressful that it breaks again. remember these are tekky toys there stiff is not fixable especially gears it's just to much cheap plastic. again another reason why spirit plans to kick tekky toys out of there company for 2016. they are tired of the cheap quality. they get returns on tekky toys products everyday.

+GemmyTimeProductions the answer to that would be nobody. they are just to cheap to last. it doesn't make since buying them again because they do the same thing they break there is no way to keep tekky toys products working the only ones that last are the jumping spiders and possibly pumpkin guardian and possessed wall hanged only the ones that are limited on animation. that's why companies like seasonal visions smoldering zombie for example only goes side to side it doesn't do violent jumps because if it did it would obviously break. I don't know why tekky uses the worst plastic especially when it comes to broken spine girl or the pop up zombie how do you expect jumping plastic to not break plastic gears, plastic poles, plastic base just all plastic. the springs our so powerful on pop up zombie, it's like every activation is like throwing you phone on the floor how many time can you throw your phone without it breaking it's the same thing with pop up zombie how many time can it pop up until either the motor dies out the plastic base or pole snaps or the gears that bring the spring force back down snap. it's just bad all the way around.
+GemmyTimeProductions you would have to stake him in the ground. hanging or staking are the only options and staking can only be used outside.

Not to be mean but you keep them in a bad spot thay r all so close thay hit. keep them in a better spot and thay will last you a lot of time.
