Why I quit playing Widowmaker in Overwatch 2

- So I stopped one tricking widowmaker for a couple of days to see what would happen, since I would never rank up even going 5-1 if I one trick widowmaker. And like expected, going 5-3 ranked me up since I did a lot of damage playing other heroes.

I think it's universal. Hanzo/Widow mains NEED aim to be effective and it translates to good aim on many other heroes. I play Sojourn/Ashe/Soldier/Tracer when i just want wins.

You're the one that really got me into playing Widow but as you've said, it is incredibly difficult to rank up using only Widow. I find Widow the most fun to play since I like the challenge of everything being reliant on my aim, however she just cannot carry like other DPS heros can sometimes and is countered so easily by so many other heros, which makes her annoying to play in comp.
I actually enjoy playing against counters when I play Widow because it makes me better at fighting them and just better in general.
If I'm not playing Widow, I am most likely playing Sojourn and sometimes Ashe, which usually gets a lot more done for the team even though at times I have half the kills. Just the pressure from them is enough to get value, but people don't respect Widows in the slightest and will soloult and hard focus them in any gamemode lol.
Last time I wanted to practice Widow the enemy dps insta switched to Sombra. Widow is just not worth the effort when there are so many easy counters.

I wholeheartedly disagree with OP about Widow not being able to carry, Widows presence on the map literally dictates the enemies team comp because, as long as the Widow is at least average and getting kills and not getting killed left and right, they're dictating who the enemy team plays. Widow is just too easy to kill(especially with Sombra and Tracers growing popularity) unless she has a pocket. I'd rather learn Hanzo and Ashe. Still aim intensive, and Hanzo can get value of oneshots like Widow, but they arent as squishy and Hanzo has better mobility(imo)

There is definitely something wrong with the rank system. It is not a pure elo system based on win/loss. My wife and I played open queue on fresh accounts. She played mostly mercy and I played various heroes. We played the same five games, went 5-0. She placed masters 4, and I placed plat 5. It’s definitely giving out additional points based on certain stats, which are easier to obtain on some heroes than others. My guess is that it heavily weighs kill participation and kda, but who really knows.
it boosts you based on your quickplay hidden mmr. thats part of why its so hard to rank up if you played for a long time but then if you get a new account you will be instantly placed higher
His rank was influenced by him abandoning games which didnt let him rank up.

the only thing I noticed is the same pattern: 3 easy wins then the last 2 are almost impossible or imposible to win untill several tries, and i always got a trower, leaver, bot, the result i cant never climb or if i do soon i go down again.

I don't know if you know but you climb in comp only based on your win/loss games. The thing is, if you are on a 5-0 but you were on a 5-7 previously for example, you will not rank up that much. The game take account on every win/loss you've done during the begining of the season.

thank you someone with a sensible take lmaoo. Legit, the only reason he stayed same on 5-1 cards is because he was like 5-10 the set before... Nevertheless, it is very true one tricking widow is bad for your rank, but that's just because it is such a boom or bust character and easily countered

@@destructo3457 no the thing is if you do bad that last set of games then sure you should go down or not rank up but then the next set of games you go 5wins and 0 losses and you still don't go anywhere cause it calculating how you did in the last set is dumb and it just make you not want to play the game I did bad last set I already know I'm not ranking up next set that much

I just discovered lately that when you hide your name tag like you just did . Its only hide it on your screen but other ppl screens can still see your name (kenzo) i just wanted to let know . Anyway i love ur videos keep it up buddy ❤

Someone told me why I’m not playing Mercy while I was on DPs, It’s simple I like the weekly challenges, You gotta do 52K healing, 100,000 damage and I think 20-60k tank
