Yea, they are beautiful..I have the same but solid red and sitting up looking mean😁.I was really thinking about swapping my quadra drive out to a 2wd select.have the new one sitting in the back ready to be put in.but I'm slowly starting to change my mind on it tho!🤔🤷🏼♂️🤣
There is a huge difference between the basic Quadra-Trak 2 and the full QuadraDrive system. I have had 7 Jeep WJ's - all the options. Brilliant cars and so useful. But after having owned all the engine and 4x4 wj options, I settled and kept the 4.7 HO Overland. Can't beat it. Power, QuadraDrive, comfort and LPG converted for economy. If it ever dies (still going strong at 171k) I will find an identical replacement. The 2.7 crd is too complicated and uses a weak transmission and normally has the base 4x4 system. The 4.0 has no towing grunt (very poor at towing actually) and also has a weaker problematic tranny with the basic 4x4 system too. But the 4.7, and especially the 4.7HO offers plenty of grunt, bulletproof Dodge tranny, decent enough mpg and in the UK it always came with the QuadraDrive system. I love them. I use my regularly to pull out trees. Will easily snap tow straps and has even broken a 6mm chain. Love the grunt. It is my wife's daily although I use it a lot to tow 3.5tonne car trailers. Never let me down or got me stuck.
I have to disagree with you about the 2.7 crd version’s transmission. The 722.6 is practically bulletproof, the w211 e55 uses it, the w220 s65 uses it, and many other torque monsters use it, so it is anything but weak
It's cause the LSD's are hydraulic powered the wheels need to spin abit to build up pressure in the diff so the other wheel starts turning. WK1 and 2 have electronic diffs which respond faster but still QD on the WJ is beastly and I want it
I have a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with 4.0 l6 engine Quadra Track 2, 4 inch lift done correctly with 33×12.5 R17 And It Can't Get Stuck, And That Dirt Road I Can Probably Drive My Mustang Convertible Up It lol.
@@pajoncsek If you stoop down to the level of an idiot they will beat you with experience. This video is one of a few that led to me buying a 2001 V8 limited, with a fully working Quadra Drive system. The car is unstoppable in any reasonable situation if you have one that still works well after 20 years.
@@pajoncsek I'm just saying, if that other vehicle was going the same speed as the WJ it probably would have made it. Or might have. Not saying open diff is better than fancy traction system. Also, aren't the tires different?
@@gizzyguzzi The tires are the same (Matador Izzarda MP72). Probably in the case of automatc transfer case in Musso will be result different. But video shows mostly open diffs and "limited slip".
My 04 WJ is an absolute beast in the snow and off road. Super capable car.
Love my WJ with Quadradrive

Dang it’s cool to hear a European fan of Jeep. I just assumed they would be well liked over there
I LOVE THE BIG CHROME TAILPIPE ON THIS JEEP SO WARM AND COZY LOOKING
Me too. Purchased by previous owner.

@@sorentopipe7263 OK, I thought stock one doesn´t look and sound like aftermarket.
My WJ 2.7 (Benz Engine) is a beast !!

Looks like a Ssangyong Musso. They were awful. Only reason some suckers bought them was because of the merc engine.
Lock up on wj looked a little slow, but it did what is was supposed to.

I love wj/wg and musso :-) !!!
La vieja y querida Musso!!
All of that quadradrive stuff should function correctly with Rubicon wheels and tires 255/75/17. With slight lift
That wj sounds like an old pushrod, what kind of exhaust is on it?
Exhaust is stock, maybe end part is aftermarket... I´ll check it tomorrow. But yes, I love that sound.
So I have only end part some aftermarket (don´t know which one...).
Quadradrive 4 the win.
I'm not sure I learned anything here
Basically the jeeps continually 4#4 all 4 tires keeps pulling were another's dont
To be fair the jeep had speed the Suzuki didn't if not I thing it would gone right up as well
Jeeps wheels spun abit but Quadra Drive axles lock so it delivers power to its opposite wheel so it can keep going

Nice useless post... I tried to show difference between standard open diffs and Quadra-Drive system. Not to say "hey, I´m riding tough offroad!".
