When she used to walk through the cafeteria, I would get the jocks that sat with me at the senior table to sing..... "The lady in red. dat da da da da... the lady in red..." which wasn't this song... it was from an old Bugs Bunny cartoon. Anyway, fast forward to the next spring. I got a note passed to me from this same girl, and we started dating. Turns out, Chris De Burgh had also put this song out... coincidentally, it was one of the first slow songs that we ever danced to together. I've never quite found a piano arrangement of it that I would like to play for her, but yours is so nice. I hope that you don't mind me studying it to surprise my own lady in red...for her 47th birthday, after 31 years of being together, 28 years of marriage and three daughters that I would give me life for. Thank you for bringing a tear to my eye and a memory to my heart.
