Kind of happy for the mix-up. I think a lot of people are familiar with sake, but far fewer with shochu. So a good chance to introduce people to something new.
That sake definitely came at you like a ninja. He wasn't kidding about how strong the flavor was. Good thing you didn't have a drinking contest with him.
Immer wenn ich traurig bin, dann trink ich einen Korn, und wenn ich dann noch traurig bin, dann trink ich noch n' Korn, und wenn ich dann noch traurig bin, dann fang ich an von vorn.
Yeah TOMODACHI we still tight. I was trying to teach Ryotaro how to kill him and I think he got slightly confused but we have been talking about doing something together this year again for sure. He is my Dr. Broad and I still try to listen to his advice. Like he listen to my advice about strength. LOL 😂
light flicker is due to wrong framerate in camera. gotta film with the appropriate fps when you travel somewhere (i know some parts of japan the electricity is 50hz others 60hz). i know this is common knowledge but just saying in case cameraperson doesn't know why it happens. cool video anyway :)
@@Domspun it doesn't work like that unfortunately, the data is already compressed and finalized in camera, changing the framerate after the fact will just slow or speed up the flicker. always good to shoot a 5sec test clip and check it over if you are unsure if a location has 50hz or 60hz lights, usually a country has only 1 frequency but japan has both
@@Domspun if i had a most unlikely arguments (physically impossible challenge) bingo card, you would be the star. and yes i am aware of plugins that attempt to remove the flicker and usually fail, but nothing to do with changing framerate in post
I actually did use a filter on it and when watching on my phone it was kinda ok. So I added in a warning but on a big TV screen it’s really bad. I still decided to believe in the story and leave it up there. I lost over 50 subscribers on this video but it’s a learning curve for me as production is all in house now. So I hope that more TOMODACHI can appreciate the work that goes into producing this kind of content. It’s fun for me and it has to stay that way for me to enjoy it. I can only learn through my mistakes

@@JunkFoodJapan twist it any way you like, but with your shouty loud nature you're doing just as much disservice to foreigners in Japan as Johnny Somali. And I guess you won't understand why and that's exactly the problem.
Is it me or is it always a good day when you see a new junk food japan video with a happy Nicholas Pettas
It’s a good day for sure TOMODACHI
I don't know why but I got the feeling that Sensei already had to taste his own product one or two times this day.😂
it was one of those days! LOL
@@JunkFoodJapan I would have too after dealing with a shouting gaijin 😆
we would be shouting together like VIKINGS after a great battle
I must say, the Shochu Master is a very chill guy. I would buy some if Lidl ever decided to offer it :)
This does sound good and I'll have to keep my eye out for this, if it's imported into america.
Looks like a beautiful place!
The surprise ending got me like "what?" hahah please upload it for our saké...I mean shochu...you get the point.

How did I miss this one?! Super cool dude! I didn't know they did wheat booze! Really neat!
Thank you ! I really thought this video was a gamble but at least I had a lot of fun making it a real thing.
@@JunkFoodJapan Booze is a junk food! 😳
you got that right!
You came for the sake, but stayed for the shochu.
I actually like this video

Thank you it was less scripted as I thought it was going to be a Sake tour

Mugi Shochu Master distiller was such a great host, 25% alcohol, wowzer , they don't mess around 🥵
I really like this video. But sorry for the flickering lights
Nice one again Nic 👍
So I guess maybe we going out trying some Shochu next time I’m in 🇯🇵 ? 😉😁
Proceed with caution as it hits you hard…
Thanks for showing us how paint thinner is made.
No problem 👍 TOMODACHI :)
hoping for a video with Welshman cdawgva.
the on camera chemistry between RUclips would be amazing.
stay healthy and choose from Philippines
Cheers. I am looking forward to working with the Big Cdawg
Mmm... I have a large bottle of shochu that I should probably consider drinking at some point XD
Be warned that it comes with a serious risk of headache the next day
I will have to find some Shouju somewhere. It sounds like my kind of drink!
Make sure to mix with water
Unlisted now? Watching from the notif luckily
Hope you enjoyed it!

Mugi is barley, not wheat (and barley is not wheat, it's a different plant grain)
You know, when he said he's been doing for 98 years, I half expected him to say he's 115 years old and I would have believed it 😅
LOL 😂 I was like WhaaaT ???
Our sochu extends life, I'm 135 years old.
hehehe
nothing compares with ouzo
Uozo is amazing. I love it
I agree 😊
I wonder how shochu compares to gin? As the core ingredients are effectively the same.
It’s pretty similar to be honest.
what happened after you knocked Chris out you guys still friends ?

My cousin's husband is a big fan of shochu. I think the stuff he drinks is imo shochu, though.
Yeah they make it with Mugi and Imo potatoes
This was fascinating! 25% had to have been... relaxing 😌 thank you for more great content. I would sub again if I could!
Thank you TOMODACHI
Alcohol is humanity's friend. You wouldn't abandon an old friend, now would you? ...personally, my preference was Imo, though.

They can re-edit the video in a different framerate, should solve the issue.
