The Shaykh gives us a great example of how to correct a scholar and discuss the correct ideas from the wrong ones as we know none is without mistakes after the Prophet sallalahu alaihi wa sallam. This is a glimpse of the good manners you learn sitting with the scholars who have good manners.
best example was how the mutaakhireen Hanbalis and Asharis dealt with each other, Al Sanusi and sa'd at Taftazani would call us (Hanbalis) innovators for our speech that Allah speaks with letters and sounds and the Hanabilaah would respond and say your position (asharis) is an innovation regarding Kalam nafsi and they would have these ilmi discussions that can be seen in the aqeedah books of the later asharis and hanbalis but yet they maintained a level of respect for each other and this can be seen by Imam Al Saffarini Al Hanbali having ijazat in certain books along with Abdul baqi speaking on similar issues, Also how Al Mardawi al hanbali called Abul hasan al ashari an Imam along with ibn kulaab, so ilmi discussions need to take place and need to be understood while having refutations but maintaining a level of adab and akhlaq while dealing with these factors.
