In this episode of the Figuring Out podcast, we are in conversation with Rana Daggubati. Actor, producer and entrepreneur, Rana Daggubati best known as the vicious antagonist 'Bhallaladeva' from the record-breaking Indian franchise, Baahubali, Rana, however, began his mainstream film career as the producer of the National Award-winning film Bommalata (2004).
In 2005, he set up Spirit Media, a company that specialized in VFX and animation.
On the back of the phenomenal success of the Baahubali franchise, Rana went to earn another first with India's first underwater film, The Ghazi Attack (2017), which was a commercial success and garnered him another prestigious National Award.
In 2018, Rana entered into a joint venture with one of India's leading entertainment agencies, Kwan Entertainment. He also partnered with Anthill Ventures, an investment and scaling platform for early growth stage start-ups, to launch Anthill Studio. Rana also bought a stake Amar Chitra Katha in 2019.

One thing really like about Rana's interviews is that he always stresses the word 'Telugu' whenever he gets an opportunity. Unlike bollywood actors, Telugu actors don't feel shy to identify themselves with their roots and culture. I knew 4 languages including telugu which is my mother tongue. No offense to any other languages, but telugu sounds really superb when you speak or listen to it.

One of the Best Podcasts I have ever seen of an Indian as a guest. Rana sir is probably one of the most Knowledgeable person in Indian Entertainment industry and I am sure he will create the Next big Studio in India. This is why Nepotism is south is different because they never take anything for granted and they are still connected with their Roots 👏

Raj is intellect and he knows what he converse but when he’s dealing with things he’s naive, it’s ok to ask or learn.. Don’t keep talking that he’s seen a lot of South Indian movies! Raj is still sounding stereotypical and I want Raj to inculcate.. I’m happy and excited that he’s pulling out so many details out of him but some good amount of research is still needed! Raj is conclusive and Rana was trying to say that…!!!!

Raj u said there is a pattern that u noticed in Telugu films that pattern is true for the commercial films that pattern is for mainstream people that hero centric films, i personally feel there are other films too which are small budget films those r very relatable like quality based content i feel those kind of films fill ur soul, those films r less bcoz not all people open-minded😬and i can understand their point of view too bcoz ultimately film making is business for them and Rana tried different kind of films unlike mainstream actors
