Great instructional video! I watched it several times before and during the install of my Bushwackers on a '12 Wrangler JK. Much better than reading the paper instructions that came with the fenders. Thanks!
For those individuals that don't own an air compressor and pneumatic tools, a Dremel style electric tool with a "cut-off" wheel works perfectly for a job like this. IMO, a Dremel style tool with a cut-off wheel would work better than an "air saw".
I think this video is the only reason I got my fenders on correctly and they look great. Great video, thanks. They should send this video on a USB drive with the paper directions from the factory.
I haven't even bought them yet but I am happy I saw this video first. A lot of detail but you can tell it's a quality product and installation isn't that crazy. This video sealed the deal that these are the ones I will be buying and I will be watching this video soon during my install. Thanks.
Thanks for a great easy to understand video. My install is a few weeks off but I saved the video in my favs and will watch again before I start the install. Thanks again.
This is a great video. Very well done. I wasn't sure I had the confidence to do this myself considering you have to start cutting into things, but you explained and showed it clearly enough that now I do. I really appreciate the time you put into this. Thank you.
I really thought the splash guard was going to be a pain to cut, but after watching how its done in COLOR ... it doesn't look bad at all, waiting for my fenders to come in the mail ! . I just wanted to add something if you don't mind ..... the Stainless bolt with nyloc .... its best to use some anti-seize on the bolt just in case you might want to remove the fenders at a later date .... depending on what quality those nylocs are, the plastic, when it hardens, might make it almost impossible to remove the nyloc nut. Freaking great video !! going to use this when I get to installing my fenders !
Is there a way to get at the turn signal wires to reverse them without removing the flares? Why Doesn't Bushwhacker Just put the right color wires in the right locations?!?!? WTF??!?!?
Thanks for doing this video. Agree with the comments below that Bushwacker should pay you for this as their instructions are weak at best. Outstanding job!
Yes, good installation video. The hole in the flare don't line up well even with the little tricks that you give. You make it look easy, and it probably would be if the parts were better engineered.
They are door panel trim clip removal pliers (www.amazon.com/Panel-Removal-Pliers-Domestic-Foreign/dp/B009WG296Q). We would suggest if you don't have them to use a plastic pry bar.
I don't understand why you are snipping off the heads of the plastic anchor pins. Use a phillips head screwdriver and press inward on the center portion of the anchor pin and that will release the tension on the pin. Then use a pair of pliers to "twist and remove" the pin. You can reuse the pins several times before they weaken.
Good video series. Thanks for sharing with us. I think that Unlimited Sport comes with the 3:21 gearing, right? Did the tire/wheel upgrade cause too much strain on the trans/engine?
We aren't sure exactly what it's called but it's a special nut from the factory that works as a retainer to hold the splash shield in place. You remove it with a 10mm and reinstall it later.
So you just leave the front shield with a clip at the front, 3 screws at the top, but hanging freely toward the backside? Yeah that’s going to make some noise while driving.
Great video! Unfortunately, it is not as easy as this. The little holes never lined up with my fenders (plus the clips moved every time I tried to mount the fender), and I had to drill and cut away at the holes in order to get the holes aligned. Have a professional do this if you can afford it. If not, this video sure beats the impossible instruction guide. Thanks Auto Customs!
+Fav Val Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, no two installations are exactly the same. I am sorry to hear you had a little trouble but glad to hear you were able to get them installed.
I had the same trouble. NONE of the holes matched up at all. Tried lining up the holes with the fenders off of my jeep and they weren't even close. Agreed that this video is awesome though.
This tutorial is hands-down, the best one on RUclips. You just helped me install these on my 2016 JKU. Thank you!
Bushwacker should pay you for this video. It was the best one I've seen and v it made it so much faster and easier. Thank you soo much!!!!!!
One of the best installation vids I’ve ever seen. Super patient and detailed. 👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you for sharing this video! I was able to install my fenders simply by watching your video and not even looking at the instruction manual.
Thanks! We appreciate the compliment!!!
After watching this video 2x I am ready to install mine tonight without even bothering w the instructions included in the box. Great video!
Thanks for a very well made HD video. The detailed cutting scenes were very helpful. I don't think I would've made it without them!
Great video, only video i seen so far that saves the splash guards.

+R Lambert Thanks For The Feedback!

So glad this is still here. I will be installing these soon.

you just saved hours of my life. gratitude.
Great video, this helped so much with my install......I didn't even bother with the instructions, just followed this. Made the install very easy!!!
Way under-manufactured. Most of these steps could've been done at the factory. Thank you for taking the time to make this video!
Much more informative than the extreme terrain video on these. Thank you.

best fender install video ive seen
Thank you Chris! I am glad we could help you out!
Great video! I was worried about cutting the splash shield but actually seeing it done here has help a lot. Thanks!!
Thanks for a great easy to understand video. My install is a few weeks off but I saved the video in my favs and will watch again before I start the install. Thanks again.
Thank you for the video! It highlighted all of the details I needed and helped me through a few fitment challenges.
Very helpful video!! Thank you tons!!! Couldn't have done them without it !!
Just bought a set for my wife's 2012 J/K, Great video!!
Greg Reedy thanks.

It would have been great if we had a walk around after installation
Thank you for such a detailed video. I love the new look of my JK with these flat fenders. 👍🏼
Will,
Thank you for your feedback. We love making these videos. Have a great one!
What do you have to do to replace the light.later on.
Fantastic install video! I purchased my set used and this was perfect to use as my install instructions! Very well done and informative.
Great video. I appreciate the attention to detail.
Ray Marcial thanks
Awesome video. Still was a PITA to install but gotem on!

Looks like changing the front side lights would be a bit of a pain to change. Both of mine are burnt out.
Great video. Helped me with my install!
I did, it wasn't hard at all.
Great instructional! SUBSCRIBED!
How much lift and what size tires are on the jeep in the video?
Thanks for doing this video. Agree with the comments below that Bushwacker should pay you for this as their instructions are weak at best. Outstanding job!
Great Video! Seriously, thank you for making it.
Thank you very much Chad! You are very welcome.
Very thorough, thanks.
Awesome Video!!!!! Getting ready to install and this is so uselful!
Thanks for the video, helped me immensely!

Your boss must be proud of you, tanks
+ricardo avila We do love Todd! Thanks for the feedback!
Great video. Very well done. Thank you.
I'm just curious what that tool is at ~4 minutes? Is there a way to get those out without that?

What is the name of the bolt that comes off the stud?
Can you point us to the time stamp in the video you're asking about?

Hi Dan!
how in God's name are these so expensive???
DWings Gotta pay to play!...... And look cool! 😂 👍
GoTigers330 I found some great knock-offs for under $200, decent quality and same exact look.
