My favorite thing about Castle Vein is its leitmotif is used in a lot of climax themes, despite Halls of Sacred Remains having very little importance to the main plot. It just slaps really hard.
Halls of Sacred Remains is kind of like where the "real Ultrakill" starts since the stages up to it are mostly pretty easy introductions/practice levels, it really directs the gameplay going forward It's where you really start pumping up the combo meter, mowing down enemies, and see a more interconnected, streamlined levels as well as an increase in difficulty. And of course, it's where playing V1 REALLY starts to feel badass
I don't know if anyone noticed, but the hot bar is probably a reference to the arms you can equip in Ultrakill Grappling hook being a grappling hook, red coil being the knuckle blaster, and the blue one being the feedbacker! (I don't play ultrakill don't ultrakill me if I said something wrong)
