I fell in love with this guy’s music about eight, maybe nine years ago when I heard “Black Crow”. I thought, “wow! Great song and I love his sound.” Then I heard, “Down in the Gulley” and saw it was this dude, Brent Cobb, again. I’ve been a fan ever since. I finally caught up with a live show this year and as a songwriter/singer (his description) he’s one of the best. His songs appeal to my spirit, my heart and my soul and his laid-back vibe surrounds me with peace. I’m very proud for him to finally get the due he has earned.
I’ve consumed everything I can find by Brent Cobb and I love his music. He’s such a great songwriter and I hope I’m lucky enough to see him live some day but I’m always reminded how shallow and slow I am with his speak and song. Great artist, great post!
There is just nothing else Brent should be doing. His talent at songwriting and performing continues to blow me away. Natural. That's the word that comes to mind when I'm asked to describe his style.
He's a great songwriter and singer but I also love his guitar playing. It suits his style of music. I saw him open for Chris Stapleton a couple years ago and he and his band killed it!!
He’s super super nice too. I never had Twitter until the other day. Made two comments and he responded back to both. Humble and a straight up grounded dude. It’s cause of awesome nice musicians like this that’ll help me find an audience when i release my first album.
Man... between this cat, Sturgill, Tyler, etc. I actually have some hope for the future of country music.
Don't forget about Colter Wall and Chris Stapleton....
@@copperstillco Well stated Copper
Check out John Moreland if you haven’t. So many good “underground” or alt country musicians nowadays
Cody Jinks, too! Really good songwriter!!!
