Yay! Happy freezing! It’s the best in the middle of winter 😊
Brilliant, I will be doing this with all mine as nobody seems to be eating it currently and I am tired of the snails getting to them!
thank you....YES I will be making vegetable broth:)
Thank you so much this was so helpful. 💚✨
Thank you!
Swiss chard is frost resistant. You would need snow to take it out even then I've picked it some snow on it.
some people say to blanch it first.. but i wonder if this is necessary... they say it preserves the color but i don't care about color ..more concened about taste
I did not Blanche it. I’m just using the very last of last years crop and it’s great!
@@essentricswithlindsay thank you
Why do you have to remove the stem first?
Did you blanch the stalk pieces?
I didn’t. I just rinsed and rolled!
Do you wash the chard and dry it before processing it?
I did A LOT of chard so I washed it all in the bathtub and rolled it up in towels to remove most of the water before rolling it up. It froze really well. Perfect for soups and sauces.
Just what I needed. Great!
Thank you!
