I think doitsu refers to the country, the language would be called doitsugo (ドイツ語). But I can't fault you for getting it wrong, because it's completely backwards to what you'd expect, because Deutsch is actually the language and Deutschland is the country.

Say The letter I and exhale slowly but loudly and drag it on
