Can we just take a minute to appreciate Timothy as a great Disney character/sidekick here for a minute? He helps Dumbo without expecting anything in return, believes in him, sticks up for him when others bully him and always tries to cheer him up when he’s upset. I love that Dumbo finds comfort in holding Timothy’s tail whenever they go anywhere together, like he used to do with his mother.
Are we related? Haha just kidding, but yeah i cry super hard at that part. I cried even harder when he visits his mom at night, when she is locked up :'(
A PERFECT ending to a perfect movie! Always brings tears of joy to my eyes, how happy Dumbo is re-united with his mother, and his crow friends seeing him off.
Either that or an Italian puppet returning from doing bad things at an abandoned amusement park that's cursed to save his creator from a power hungry man eating whale
@@CameraMan66I forgot to mention on the ringmaster for putting his mother into a solitary confinement when she was only trying to protect him from Smitty and the other boys
Disney princesses are great, but they don't hold a candle nor place in my heart as Dumbo does. Dumbo and Pinocchio are my favorites for all time. Both demonstrate that with hard work, lots of effort, determination, tenacity and will power no disability or disorder can hold one back. Dumbo especially is very inspirational and dear to me. That ultimate final moment when he finally flies and shows everyone he is no joke, no clown for other peoples' amusement to use and abuse. He is a true original talented individual. He is such a power message to give those of us with our own disabilities and/or disorders to overcome that we too can be great.
they also are considered either one of the most inappropriate Disney movies of all time and the most offensive Disney movie of all time. I agree with you, but its hard for me to say I love it because of those moments
Moral of this film: to use what you have that you can't change (in this case, a disability) as an advantage to create something special. Such a classic!
This is probably the best revenge scene Disney ever produced. Because it's still done in such a funny, lighthearted way, yet we still get an enormous sense of satisfaction to see Dumbo get his own back at last. The one character I wish was in this scene was the kid in the scene where he was pulling Dumbo's ears and Dumbo's Mother got locked up.
Overall, I feel that this film is severely underrated. Not only does it capture the Circus atmosphere un its prime point in American History, but its a rock solid story from the heart for the heart. Might be sad at times, but that's the dramatic arts for you! This resolution is a fun entertaining way to wrap up a great bit of kid-friendly drama!
+Ben17TheNerd Well that's true. I'm just glad Dumbo didn't get his image ruined by a crappy sequel, got parodied by shows like Robot Chicken, remained single, never got into a fight, or even grow up.
I was overjoyed when Dumbo flew. He really out shined the clowns, the crowd and his Mother. I was so proud of him. I almost cried as a child. This just comes to show it’s about faith, belief and confidence in one self.
Omg I was just looking at the scene where Dumbo's mom cradles him and sings to him.... I was balling, and I had forgotten the ending, I haven't seen this in so long... I looked up the ending just to make sure that Dumbo got reunited with his mom...
+Coral Roper I agree. Of course, while it did say that Timothy became Dumbo's manager at 2:31 (which must mean that Timothy is joining in touring the circus too), I wondered why it didn't show Timothy with Dumbo as Dumbo was flying back in the train with his mom. It didn't even show him in the train either.
+Coral Roper That's a good point too. If they wanted it to be a mother and son scene (as you mentioned), they could have had Timothy on the train with those other elephants from 2:43-2:47 where the elephants aren't scared of him anymore. (Hopefully he was on the train just not seen especially since the other animals are not seen where only the elephants are seen). I guess the reason I feel this way about Timothy is because, he is the one who loved and cared for Dumbo the most and he is the one who helped make Dumbo famous where it would be sweeter showing him on the train. (If it showed Timothy waving goodbye to Dumbo with those crows, that would be a sad ending to this film).
This is how it was for me. First I was bullied and a laughing stock, but when I showed my skills in solving cases no one else could solve, showing off my dance skills, my work in making song texts, stories and more, people did not laugh at me. They saw how amazing I am in what I could do.
This is one of the most gratifying ending to any Disney movies... period! We've seen him put up with crap throughout this film, and to see him defy odds is both heart-warming and inspiring!

Never mess with "Dumbo". Thanks to "Timothy the Mouse" (friend, assistant, and manager) and "The Crows" (group) for helping and showing him a better path so he can redeem himself.
It's not really (or wouldn't be) a magic feather, it's a flight feather, birds use them to be able to fly. An example of what happens when someone clips them off (cuts them off) is at the Tower of London the Ravens, so they can only get up onto say ledges but they can't take full flight.
The clowns, the ringmaster, and those elephant bitches all got what was coming to them. And Timothy deserved to be dumbo’s manager for being there all the time and a true friend
In my opinion, this is the most triumphant ending of all time. After spending the entire movie being bullied and belittled by everyone around him, Dumbo finally gets the love and respect he deserves and rises from the bottom of the barrel to the top of the world using the gift given to him by his very special ears.
